Fedex should get rid of mygovworks.com

You should get rid of govworks.com for passport processing. Terrible service - no customer support. I wasted 20 minutes filling out their form, paid of $400 which was immediately charged, and then they didn't submit it. They said I had to call a customer service number to finalize - despite this being a simple passport renewal with no modifications. I sat in your fedex office on 67 E 8th St NY NY - and call the number 3 times. No response. No call back. Then, despite the fact that they take the $426 immediately, there is no way to cancel on line. You again have to call a number. And it is almost impossible to get through to a refund person. Then the refund person (Shaleika) said I had to fill out a form to get a refund!! And it would take 24-48 hours for a manager to get back with me. Unbelievable. I am going to post this on social media - but you should discontinue working with this company immediately. Complete ripoff and terrible customer service

ludicrous egregious disservice by their rep Kalima Robertson. can't believe this company is still in business. I submitted the identical payment their website told me to submit. now they're trying to tell me it's 2 dollars more and they won't process without it. Kalima refuses to escalate me to supervisor. their website is broken and no way to contact them. are you freaking kidding me.

Complete scam and a waste of money

Complete scam and a waste of money! Don't waste your time with these guys. They will charge you ridiculous fees for something that could be done at any US Post office for basic fees. I can't believe I fell for this crap, fair warning to you all.

MyGovWorks is scamming their customers. This is not an exaggeration.

Truly, MyGovWorks is running a scam on its unsuspecting customers.

If you expedite your passport through your local State Department office, the fee is around $211, along with a $35 fee for the cost of the passport book itself. Take your documents in, get them reviewed/approved, and you will get your passport in 2-3 weeks. It’s that simple.

You HAVE to go to your US State Department in person to get the documents you fill out on MyGovWorks reviewed and notarized. The State Department will simply review and approve your information, and then send it off.

You can print off the exact same documents MyGovWorks gives you online FOR FREE, and take them into your local State Department/County Clerks office.

If you use the MyGovWorks service to expedite, you are paying an ADDITIONAL $210 fee that is truly, a complete waste of your money. You are paying for an unnecessary and nonexistent middleman. The $263 I paid this company meant NOTHING when it came to getting my passport. Literally, nothing.

Not to mention when I got my photo taken at FedEx, none of the employees had any idea what MyGovWorks even was or how they would even ship the documents as they had no label/no idea where to send them.

I am genuinely baffled at how this company is still in business. I’m even more confused at how they could even be associated with FedEx as there appears to be no legitimate reason to use this service.

Any way you spin it, MyGovWorks is intentionally misleading people by using the “government” name and legitimately scamming people out of hundreds of dollars at a time. I can’t speak on the other expediting services they offer, but the standard 2-3 week option is fully a scam that offers no benefit to its customers.

I fully believe legal action should be taken against this company as this it is selling incredibly misleading offerings at best.

Govworks no value big problems

There is no value to Govworks, but plenty of problems. They take your credit card at the beginning of the process. They list the charges, but it is not clear that you will still have to write a check for the passport fees before you ship it. The Fedex printers failed twice and Govworks kicked me out of the system. I could not get back in to print. I reset passwords. Tried to work with the Fedex staff who claimed they had nothing to Govworks. I went home tried to contact Govworks no success. However FedEx still charged me $268.90 even though they could not print or ship the application. On the other hand, the State Department site is easy to use. Printed it at home at mailed it at the post office no problem. The only thing I got from Fedex is the photos. I will be trying to get a refund from Fedex for the charge.

The Company GovWorks aka Rush My…

The Company GovWorks aka Rush My Passport... First thing is the services cost about $600 for you to get a passport in two weeks.

Second, they told me white back ground on my picture wasnt "white" enough... is there some kind of white scale?

Thirdly, they said I needed "proof" of why I needed my passport so fast. I sent them a letter from an international employer... they said the letter "needs the time of travel on it to work..." so I wrote my employer and had them add the time of travel... then they sent that back with a list of requirements that my 3rd attempt letter needed (why not provide that in the first place?)

Forth, on both the website, and on the instructions they sent me in the mail, they said a money order needed to be made out to The Department Of Sate for the amount of $209.15 exactly... then they said that this was actually "the wrong amount..." and that it was supposed to be $190... and that I would have to buy another money order and pay for additional shipping to send everything back. All of this after dealing with 4 different people on the phone who all gave me different issues with the process...

I canceled the services on 30-May-2024 and have still not received my old passport and money order 10 days later. They told me it would take 5 business days for it to be returned...

All in all, my experience was so bad... it almost felt like it was a joke. It felt like I was being hustled and laughed at. What a strange, frustrating, and extremely wasteful experience that will ultimately cost me a job position.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! they botched my passport renewal and there is no way to contact them and they do NOT return voicemails to their phone number. my passport process was not completed and there is no way to change your shipping/return address. they basically took my money and shipped my old passport and application right back to me so I literally just took the application/passport/check/etc. out, put it in a new envelope and shipped it directly to the passport expedite office. DO NOT USE THEM!

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. Total scam. They are an inefficient middle man. My daughter is 16 so I had to go to the passport office anyway after I filled out my govworks application. The passport office expedited the passport and then when I tried to get my money back from govworks because they did NOTHING they refused and said if we used their printed application then if we are refunded it will be rejected by the state department because there is a barcode on it and it will show that is wasn't paid for (which is was TWICE). TOTAL TOTAL SCAM.

2 weeks! Easy Peasy

2 weeks from starting the process to the passport in my grubby little mitts... I didn't get my b.c. back but they said I should. Was insanely easy if you follow the no bs instructions they send.

Do NOT use GovWorks

What a terrible, inefficient service! I was given the wrong information when I contacted customer service consistently. Also, there is NO attempt by this service to coordinate nor share information with the Fed Ex stores, so they cannot even answer basic questions. I am waiting, one month later, for my original marriage certificate to be returned to me as well as for a small refund I am owed.

This service is a scam

This service is a scam, don’t waste your money. And the amount the charge you? For what you receive in return is outrageous. I went for the expedited option, three months out still haven’t received my passport. No explanation, no update. Nothing. Tried to get a refund and it didn’t work out. But let my lesson help save you your money. My girlfriend got her passport through the post office, she had hers expedited and she received hers in the mail the next week. I forget how much she paid but it was around half of the amount I paid including what I paid them and the application fee due to the state dept. Avoid this service like the plague.

Scam! Shame on FedEx!!

Shame on FedEx for shilling for this shady company. They make it seem that they are affiliated with Govworks when you start the process. It’s not until they have your money and all your vital data and then set up some email address for you under “gov mail”. Then when you print out the forms that get submitted to the US Government, the shady “gov mail” addy they assigned to you has been put on your official application…no matter how times you try to correct it. The whole time the employees at FedEx sheepishly try to help you but they play dumb. Once you get it all done and get your pic taken, you affix the photo to the official forms and then have to mail ANOTHER fee by check to the Government and mail the whole thing to these Govworks sleaze bags. Beware!!!!!!!!!

Do not expect this passport expediter…

Do not expect this passport expediter to actually do anything. In fact, they’ve added more delays in the process and I’ll be going to the passport agency myself. Like many others I thought the FedEx brand meant something, which it does not and I will never ship via FedEx either. The worst ever

A total scam

A total scam; they bill you double the actual cost of getting a passport for a printout of your application and instructions; the hidden fees are disclosed after you pay the initial fee: $181 basic 8-10 weeks to $234 for 4-5 weeks. They don’t tell you about the hidden fees until you pay this initial fee. (You can do this yourself and save 100% of the cost); after you pay the initial fee they let you use their platform to complete the application and print out the shipping labels from FedEx. Page 7 asks for you to mail an additional check for $234 to us dept of state; that’s when you ask the attendant “why are they asking me to send a check for $234 when I already paid this fee?..”… that is when the attendant responds: “..yeah, I hear that a lot but we have nothing to do with it, we are a separate entity…” ; you don’t need to use FedEx to print out your passport application and give you shipping labels, you can do this yourself from a public library for free; USPS has a reliable priority mail service at 50% of the cost. I realized I had been scammed the day after I paid my fee to FedEx but refused to go through with this transaction and immediately told the attendant that I declined the service; I chose to call the number on the application, and got my money back; I downloaded my own passport application from a government site and paid $60 fee for expedited delivery for a total of $210; I will be receiving my passport in 4-5 weeks which is better than 8-10 weeks offered by FedEx + an additional $181 on top of a $234 check payable to US passport dept.

This was a life saver

This was a life saver. The process was a bit confusing. I called several times but received my passport in 8 days. Well before the expected date. Thank You !!!! It is worth the few extra phone calls and the double check of all the paperwork!!!!

Huge waste of money

Huge waste of money! I should have just filled out the passport app for my 17 year old at the government site, printed and done a walk in at the usps. I got no value at all from using govworks.

Total waste of money

Total waste of money. Saved no time and cost so much more than if I had just done it myself. Their partnership with Fedex is a joke. Fedex took the passport photos (which were rejected by the US passport agency for having shadows) then I had to pay Govworks for another Fedex shipping label to send the new photos. All Fedex does is deny they are the same company as Govworks (even though Fedex processed all the financial transactions).

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT USE! I found this company while searching for expedited passport services to visit my gravely ill sister. Seeing the FedEx affiliation made me feel more at ease purchasing the service. What a joke! The application has been stuck in a "submission" process for months. I have contacted them repeatedly but have received no response. They provide a phone support number but their office is conveniently closed every time I call. They let you leave a message for their "passport team" but this seems to be a black hole for voicemails. They also have a "message center" on their website but no option to actually message them directly. I wish I could leave a zero-star review as this company seems to prey upon the desperate. STAY AWAY...unless you want to pay double for your expedited passport!

DONT USE THEIR SERVICES

Do NOT USE THIS SERVICE FOR ANYTHING passport-related. I completed all 13 pages of passport information required, was charged $250 for an expedited passport, got a confirmation number and invoice, and THEY NEVER BEGAN THE PROCESS.
