Predatory Pricing

$80 for 5 preschool photos (digital, not even prints included). There's no option to even just order one digital photo for the sake of saving money. The smallest digital only package they offer is 3 photos and even that is still $70. Straight up predatory behavior. I have no idea how this company is still around. They do "graciously" offer a 20% off coupon on the order form I was sent home with... but when you read the fine print, it's 20% off an additional package with the full price purchase of another. My son had a total of 5 photos taken, why on earth would I need to purchase multiple packages? The coupon is absolutely pointless. Again, predatory.

Over priced

Over priced. Emotional blackmail to pay unreasonable prices for my child pictures. As an activity initiated by school this should be reasonably affordable to all parents. The prices are unbelievable.

Life touch Service is Terrible.

Life touch is not a place you want to get pictures taken. 1st, if you’re the grandparent who paid for the pictures, and you didn’t receive the pictures only the parents can reorder the pictures.(Even though you paid and have all the information for the order). 2nd, There was a hold up in the class picture that I paid for and I had to call lifetouch for them to tell me the picture wasn’t taken because all the students weren’t there for the picture, which was a 20 minute wait before someone answered the phone.
To me it’s all about the money, not about getting great service or pictures, because last year when my grandchildren took pictures they were terrible, but this year when I paid extra to correct flaws the pictures came out better. I will not order from them again.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. My child is a senior this year and has disabilities. The photographer knew this, but put zero effort into getting a good shot. My kid had a goofy look on their face, but the photographer kept the photo anyway. My kid's going to have the worst picture possible in their senior yearbook, all because this company hires people who don't give a rat's #$%. I honestly think schools that use this company should be equally ashamed for staying with them when everyone knows how bad they are.

Pictures are way expensive

Pictures are way expensive! They are ripping off parents from their hard earned dollars. They should make pictures more affordable. Their packages don't make sense! I don't need multiple copies of 5x7 or 2x5. It's more sensible to have the option to order one 8x10. But they dont have this option instead they made it as an add-on. It's been years since i ordered pictures of my kids. Just total ripped off!

Lifetouch Photography

Lifetouch Photography, a well-known provider of school and event photography, has unfortunately fallen short in several key areas, affecting both the quality of their service and customer satisfaction.

Quality of Photography: The quality of Lifetouch's photography has been disappointing. Our recent experiences have highlighted a lack of attention and care from their photographers, who seem indifferent to the appearance of the children in the photos. It is disheartening to receive pictures where children look disheveled, having just come in from recess, with messy hair and uncomposed expressions. A professional photographer should ensure that each child looks their best, providing gentle guidance on posing and appearance.

Timeliness of Orders: The delivery time for Lifetouch photos has been excessively long. Over the past two orders, it has taken nearly two months to receive the photographs. This delay is unacceptable, especially considering the importance of these keepsakes for parents and students alike. Lifetouch’s customer service has attributed this delay to a backlog, indicating that the company might be expanding too quickly to manage its current workload effectively.

Customer Service: Customer service at Lifetouch has been another area of concern. When inquiries were made regarding the delayed orders, the responses were unsatisfactory, often attributing the delay to an overwhelming backlog. This suggests a lack of adequate infrastructure and resources to handle their growing customer base.

Pricing: Lifetouch charges a substantial sitting fee of $1,000, in addition to the costs parents incur when ordering photos. Given the high fees, one would expect a commensurate level of service and quality. Unfortunately, this has not been the case, as the service provided does not justify the expense.

Never Received Digital photos

I purchased 11 digital files of my son's senior photos. He needed them for work and school. I never received any email from them or Shutterfly. But I did get an email from Shutterfly that the paper prints were out for shipping. I called Lifetouch and they couldn't tell me what happened and reordered it with a new order number. Again, no email confirmation for the reorder. I called them again to ask where the email is? I was told that there were "technical difficulties" and that they would send me both an email and the digital prints within an hour and that they close at 5. I called at 4:30, over an hour after promised. They were closed and still NOTHING in my email or Shutterfly account. This company is very shady. Stay away and save yourself the headache. I can't believe that Shutterfly associates themselves with them and you have to rely on them for your child's school photos. Scam all around.

Terrible

Terrible, Just Terrible School Pictures. This year, last year, Every year. The schools should stop using their bad, overly priced service. The kids put in effort in picking their clothes for the picture day to be disappointed by the printed copies. These people hire unprofessionals to take photos and are only there to make money, little do they care about their work. The package prices are insane & you end up pre paying for their terrible service.

Terrible every year

These people hired to take photos are simply there just to make money for a paycheck. They don’t give a f. The way they take photos is insanely horrid and they have zero clue on how to pose naturally and for the good angles. They always look pissy and angry. I am so disgusted schools keep using their service. Enough is enough. The package prices are already insane. I’m so over this company.

Lifetouch guarantees a great picture…

Lifetouch guarantees a great picture day experience. The amount of money these pictures cost I have 5 school aged children I pre ordered 2 of my children's school photos at the cost of $70.00 my preschooler and my 4th grader dressed in there best with fresh haircuts, excited for there pictures to be taken to immediately feel unwelcome & confused about how to stand or place there hands etc. I have never seen two grade school photographers so rude & melancholy in my life. I wasn't allowed to choose from a couple different photos like I usually am able to do. There photographer had no desire to be liked or make any of the kids feel comfortable even. There wasn't a line we walked in & strait to both photographers whom both looked angry and irritated. This Was at Rippleside Elementary school yesterday at 2:00p.m. photographers were scheduled to be set up taking photos from the a.m. till 7pm that night. I can't imagine any of the children who got there photos taken by these two before or after mine will ever look forward to future school pictures again. I had already spent a chunk of money on these photos to have a terrible experience with a rude unqualified none professional and have no say in which photo was chosen. If Life touch is going to guarantee a great experience With trained professionals Who are supposed to keep Everyone engaged and happy. Then they need to a better job during their application process. I don't believe The photographer we dealt with had any experience in photography let alone being around children. I have three high school students whom Are supposed To be getting their picture taken by life touch on september 18th. As much as I look forward to my children's professional school pictures every year.Handing them out to family members and sending them in the mail. We Flat Out refuse to spend any more money with them. My older children won't even be In the year about this year because of them. If the school hires life touch in the future Neither will my younger children. I'll hire my own photographer From now on.

Overpriced…

Getting school pictures is ridiculous now, this company charges an astronomical amount to get a few photos. Different backgrounds are cool, but only if you spend a ton of money, and who really needs 20+ (just throwing a number out there) copies of one picture, even if the background is different.

Phones have great cameras and editing capabilities now days, so no need to waste money on pricey school photos.

Lifetouch, I would poll your parents and see how you can turn the company back around bc I am not the only one who feels this way.

Don't be fooled..

The advertising is fantastic but boy when you get your pictures taken, it's trash! The photographers are not patient with kids and they just press the button for the sake of taking pictures. There were a lot of kids who weren't looking or smiling. Many of our group pictures came out bad. The pictures don't come close to what they show in their AD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE BETTER ONES OUT THERE.

Woow What a fraudster company!!! Schools need to stop using this company.

They simply not sending my order. I got scammed by Lifetouch and no phone number to call. Chat support are stupid and have no access to your account. I give them my order# and access code and whatever crap that was sent to me in email and they still cant locate my order. One agent said, we will ship you another package which that never happened and this new agent tells me I dont even have any order in my account. You can not share the screenshot with them neither. Its very frustrating dealing with piece of craps companies with untrained staff and support. Schools need to stop using these monopoly services. Just simply out of money and I have to buy it again from them. Its simply a fraudster company with no hope of changing.

Literally the worst experience

Literally the worst experience trying to order photos. Their website is difficult to navigate, the chat is not usable and most of the time it doesn't update to where you can even use anything past the AI bot. Horrendous experience and feeling giving this company $44 just to have my son's photos
