Sent three textbooks through USPS. Shipping tracking never shows that they arrived. Heard nothing. Checked in 4 weeks later and was told the books were damaged in transit, could not be accepted, and were mailed back. Nearly 4 weeks later and have never received the books. Messaged them again and have not heard back. Did they steal them? Maybe. What are the odds the package is damaged on the way there and then lost on the way back? I sold some other textbooks around the same time through SellBackYourBook.com via UPS and received my PayPal credit within a couple weeks.

We understand your frustration. It is very important to package books in a sturdy box or envelope. Please include plenty of packaging material to prevent the box from being crushed. Also, use plenty of tape on the top and bottom of the box to seal the package. If re-using a box, please reinforce any existing tape with new tape to strengthen the seal. The damaged package was refused and returned to the customer.

Stole my items and sent no money
Sent my books to them. Didn’t hear anything for months. Finally followed up and they said my books were rejected. I sent them a BRAND NEW book and they didn’t send it back or pay me. I reached out but they would not respond.

The order was rejected due to the customer not shipping their books by the required ship by date, not due to the condition of their books. All customers, as stated in our terms and conditions, must ship their books within 7 days of a buyback order being placed. The ship-by date is shown on all packing slips and in a customer's user account. If the buyback order is not shipped by this date, the order will expire and the offer quoted will be null and void. The customer did not ship their books by the required ship by date and their buyback offer expired. If a buyback is not able to be shipped by the required date, a new buyback order will need to be placed to receive a new offer quote.

Terrible customer service
I shipped my books but the tracking never updated and the shipment never arrived. While that is not their fault, the way they handled it was. They blamed me and after a couple of emails, they ignored me completely.

We understand your frustration, however the location you dropped your UPS package off at did not do their job. Once a package is dropped off at a UPS store, it is scanned by the UPS clerk. The shipping label was never scanned. The shipping label shows as the package was never shipped. As the shipping label was never scanned, we can not file a claim with UPS, because it shows the package never left the original location, and a UPS truck never received the package. The package was not delivered to us, as proved by the UPS tracking number. We would recommend that you file a claim with the original location that the package was dropped off at, because the package never left that location.
