As a passionate farmer and rancher, I manage my organic farm with over 7000 trees, including olive trees, almond trees, and many other fruits. In addition to my love for the land, I have a passion for traveling and welcoming people from all over the world. A true Puglia experience…

Petru and his family are the best hosts. If you want a real Puglia "experience" you need to stay at Petrus ranch. The tulli type room is imaculous clean, spacious, and comfortable. Petru and his family will treat u to the local foods. Delicious pasta, wines, meats,cheese, and others. The wine is home made as all the other products by his family, neighbors or friends. From his place you can visit beautiful places like Matera. I highly recommend to stay at his place for the true Puglia experience.

From 5 Star hotels to a farm house

As part of our 3 week journey throughout all of Puglia we wanted to immerse ourselves in genuine Italian culture. While we thoroughly enjoyed our time in 4 and 5 star hotels in Monopoli, Leece and Bari, staying in a trullo in Locorotondo and a cave in Matera the most memorable experience was on Petru’s farm. We wanted something unique and this provided it. Walking among the cows and geese, picking olives and almonds from the trees and a personalized pasta preparation culinary lesson given by Petru’s mom. It just doesn’t get more authentic Italian than that.
In addition, Petru was our chauffeur and guide to Altamura and Gravina which were fascinating places to visit made more so by his commentary and sense of humor. . If you want to truly experience no frills farm life in Italy this is the answer. Era favoloso!
