00000 all the way liars overchargers steal from customers by claiming money from false meter readings which they dont owe them try to send you estimated bills which are also lies .then sell your contract to shell which is illegal and add lots of money to your bills and claim you owe them so shell who are complicit in this fraud can object to you leaving them while they bleed you dry use neither I have no contract with either company yet both are demanding money not owed oh and legally I now owe green star nothing as I have received no bills from them in over 12 months so my false debt is now non existent shell have not responded to the real accurate readings from my property amazing I wonder why I want my money back and green star legally I owe you nothing so shell can not ask me for it either both corrupt companies shell have still not been in touch with me after the true meter readings wonder why come on shell you were chasing money I didnt owe you Liars and still this company haven't sent me a bill with the right readings I insist you call the police you are calling me a liar you stole from me I want the police present now I never lied the readings were true the real ones that is not green stars and your made up rubbish involve the police if your right I wont hide you have stolen from me shell I can now prove it why no response liars respond shell you blacklisted me over a lie respond you stole from me respond what utility companies are doing is trying to get prepayment meters in properties which constantly run and charge you even when turned off thier greed is amazing shell you owe me money big business or not I will take you on . no to your lies no to your theft still no corrected meter readings they are still trying to steal from me pathetic just read my meters again there seems to be a sudden surge in usage oh sorry shell tampering with them and adding what they like I checked my readings as stated I will be taking them on lo and behold figures have gone mad its impossible for me to use what they are adding on liars and cheats got you now anyone with smart meters turn off those little clocks that they provide you are charged 100 plus a year for those in use and check your readings on your actual meters regularly we are being ripped off all if us never trust a meter reading they send you unless you have verified it yourselves always make a note of the time and date of your reading shell and green star are the worse offenders but they are all at it those clocks they provide are always set at estimated so your always in debt without realising it i have learned the hard way by not checking now I'm on it and my meters are definitely being adjusted to suit thier figures not the actual ones my friend who works for a company meter reading etc he took readings off my meters and kept records of them i asked him to read them again and he assured me shell have tampered with my meters and adjusted them to match the wrong readings they provided in short shell have committed fraud and I can now prove it I have video evidence of the correct readins as does my friend oh by the way he fits them and knows every con they pull on you the meters all of them are rigged to steal check your readings remove the little black clocks a warning to all the good people do not allow smart meters in your homes they can be hacked and adjusted to suit the companies readings not the real ones mine have and I now have proof to move forward I have no contract with shell nor will I. Shell have sent me another bill for not being there again offgem apparently told shell they could take over my contract two things here I have no contract with offgem nor shell who are stealing from me I owe you nothing I say who my supplier is not johnson with his greedy paws on backhanders I say your right to contact me has been removed too shell as is my property . I HAVE NO CONTRACT WITH YOU OR OFFGEM OR JOHNSON HAVE I MADE THIS CLEAR NOW by the way good people I'm disabled and vunerable and shell know this too I phoned shell yesterday to tell them I have no contract with them and to turn my power off and I requested police presence too to have the chap who does it arrested because even when you have no power the smart meters still charge you which is fraud deception and theft you cannot be charged for not using
a service the woman on the other end was eating food while I made this complaint no interest at all this is shell for you shell said I owed them 300 pound i gave them the real readings and suddenly I now owe them 155 for not using my power i have told them I have no contract with them and I don't they ignore this and keep sending me bills SHELL YOU ARE NOT MY SUPPLIER NOW OR EVER HOW THICK ARE YOU I AM NOT YOUR CUSTOMER DONT THREATEN ME WITH FRAUDULENT DEBT THINKING YOU CAN SCARE ME OR BULLY ME REMOVE THESE GREEN STAR METERS THEY ARENT EVEN YOURS I AM NOT YOUR CUSTOMER NO MORE BILLS WILL BE PAID TO YOU I HAVE NO CONTRACT

Daylight Robbery!

I was with this company the first year I moved into my 2 bedroom flat (from a 3 bedroom house). I paid 150 pounds per month (1800 per annum) as I like my heat but was staggered to find my electricity use (gas cooker) prohibitively more expensive than my gas. For lights? At the end of the year when I attempted to move, they insisted I owed 673 pounds. Thus, 2,400 pounds per year for gas/electric for a 2 bedroom flat. Reluctantly, I paid it just to be free of their awful customer service and nefarious practices. They then pursued me for 53 pounds they also said I owed. I refused and told them repeatedly to take me to court where they'd have to explain the above. Eventually, they dropped it.

Octopus Energy have just refunded me 900 pounds for 2 years credit on exactly the same payment plan - and having put an additional vertical gas radiator in my lounge. It's not rocket science is it? I really wish I'd gone to Ofgen about them! Switch or don't touch!

LIARS AND THIEVES

Switched to them as they quoted the cheapest. £90/month for gas and electric. My wife took responsibility for those bills and set up direct debit. Unfortunately she failed to monitor her account and did not notice that over the next nine months it had risen to £180/month, with no communication whatsoever. We immediately switched to new supplier. Greenstar then spoke to us advising us to not cancel the direct debit so they could take a final payment. When they did, they tried to take £715 from my wifes account. Luckily she had nothing like that amount in there so they never got it. They insisted we owed it but we refused to accept such a ludicrous figure. We wrote an email refusing to pay and they replied that according to their records the bill had been settled. Make of that what you will but they are NOT RECOMMENDED as they are thieves and liars.

Absolute disgusting
Was swapped over from these to shell energy and got a letter in April this year saying they owed me £40 ok not a lot but it's money all the same
Now into aug and after phoning them several times it's still the same jargon
They very busy
If shoe was on the other foot it would be different
They are a absolute joke
Still not received refund yet

SCAM ARTISTS

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY CHARGE YOU FOR OTHER PEOPLES BILLS I HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR A REFUND FOR 2 YEARS AND THEY SENT ME A CHEQUE IN THE WRONG NAME SO IT COULDN'T BE CASHED. AVIOD THE SCAM ARTISTS.

Lied to me was told cheaper by a lot than old supplier

This,Company said my bills woul be cheaper than my last by around 10% a month great I though

It a lot more and then double from my old supplier being £45 pm I was told Greenstar could do for £35 pm

My first bill was £38 then £65 then was always in £80 something

When I was at my mams for All Christmas my bill should be hardly anything as I was not here and 95% electrics turned of I have no gas

Yet no bill was £80 still so refusing to pay women I spoke to swore at me

I Rang back days later had a breakdown cause of this company and almost ended my life

I went to my new company in March 2020 and never once had a high

Bill Greenstar Energey Lie now I am okay Mental Health wise I thoght I would leave a review

Please anyone that reads this take in what I said

It's terrible

It's terrible
They sent me a bill for over £2700 for the year and it was supposed to be £563 and it took me 2 years to get it fixed and after 2 years of stress and anxiety they offered me £20 for all this 2 years of trouble, rediculous they're a bunch of professional robbers keep away from them.

Worst service as I ever had been I complained plenty of times they did not collect my rubbish but they still charging for that even I sent screenshot I'm right. I don't recommend them for noone I switched with another company and I contacted them multi if times collect their empty bins because I signed on with another company after 1 week still bins on the street

Just the worst.

My introduction to Greenstar was a weirdly sexual door to door salesman, he made several inappropriate comments to me about my female housemates.

However, the price was far lower than what we had been paying so we switched (not through the salesman however). They did send us one massively incorrect bill, but beyond this no real complaints whilst I used them as this was fixed fairly quickly.

The problems really started once I left my uni house, they emailed me a year after I moved out, saying I owed them money from that year AND from before I had even moved into the house. When I called up customer service to complain the person on the phone didn't understand that the bill couldn't possibly be for me, even though I had emailed proof I hadn't lived at the address for the duration of these bills. This went back and forth for 20 minutes before I hung up.

It took well over 2 months for them to acknowledge I shouldn't pay them anything, despite all the evidence I had sent and their lack of proof I had been using the property. AVOID.

I have emailed yourself numerous times and getting no where as your ignoring my point that I'm not with yourselfs or ever signed up what so ever get it sorted had enough now and phoned several times I have asked how you got my details from never answered fobbing me of its a fault on your part

Abysmal

Abysmal. Chasing for a debt they previously wrote off & attempting to charge after the date of my energy contract finishing with British gas having taken over. Basically want to receive payment for providing no service.

Absolutely shocking customer service line, I have been cut off twice, passed around several departments, have spent over an hour trying to speak to the right department and still have not managed to be put through to the correct dept. Appalling.

I been with several suppliers for last 14 yrs when I switched from this fake supplier they gave me a bill of £1750 because I had no opinion am still paying it please please anyone trying to switch to them please don't do it you will end up in debt.

I moved into my property June 2019…

I moved into my property June 2019 Green star are asking me for £400 pounds for March April and May 2019. I hadn't even moved into the property then. I have sent them my tenancy agreement and email after email. Phone call after phone call. It is now in the hands of a debt collection agency. I really don't need this stress. I can get no satisfaction what so ever. Would definitely advise against using them if this is the service they provide and I had never used them at all. My last email was yesterday. This has been going on since 2019

Are they even a real company?????

I had an astronomical final bill leave my account in September 2020 after I continually disputed their charges and experienced questionable customer service.
They refused to properly investigate my dispute regarding why my bill was so high.

I never cancelled my direct debit or had a late payment.
After my dispute was dismissed and I received my ridiculous final bill, I naturally switched providers and was done with it.

Now, over 4 months after they received my final payment, I am sent an email by a debt collection agency stating I owed "Hudson Energy" (Green Star Energy) the amount of my final bill.

I contacted the agency and have now had to provide my bank statement as proof of final payment ("Final Payment" was on my bank statement -their own words).

Luckily they enlisted a very professional service and the debt collection agency representative was very courteous and has assured me the charges will be investigated.

A bumbling company with no idea how to conduct themselves, a business or one way traffic.. totally lacking even the most basic customer service skills.

Laughable.

I am now with A Very Respectable Other company with whom I'm in credit, and paying £99 monthly by DD with no problems whatsoever.

Green Star Energy AKA SHELL do not be fooled

I do not think they are worth 1 star, 5-years of hell, estimate after estimate threat after threat, debt collectors at the door. They trebled the actual reading on our meter after the first year and estimated out annual usage at £26000 then started sending bills for £5000. Impossible to complain so we decided we'd see them in court. It's on going we contacted the Ombudsman GSE tell the Ombudsman it's resolved and we just go around in circles, how can anyone be allowed to run a business this way?????

Never use this company ever

Never use this company ever. A bunch of scamming thieves who are so disorganised and have owed me money for over a year and have instated a credit agency to try and claim that I owe them money only for the credit agency to realise they were at fault the entire time.

Do NOT...and I cannot repeat this enough...use Green Star Energy. My partner to this day are in legal battle about bills they never sent and bills we paid.
From them taking £600 out of our accounts without any warning or letter to them threatening us with lawyers. This company is bad news.
AGAIN, do NOT use Green Star Energy.

Do not use this company! AVOID

Do not use this company, you will never get any clear information or consistent service. 2 year old complaint only just settled and still not clear as to the reason it took 2 years and what I am being asked to pay for. Just not worth the time and hassle, passed from one to another and lacking clear information throughout

Final bill dispute hell

Final bill was disputed due to meter reading error. I raised a complaint but they never resolved it but 2 years later started threatening to take me to court to reclaim the debt. Don't answer my letters. My calls get dropped during transfer to their "complaints team"
