Awful experience

Have had one of the worst experiences moving and living with my house agents room was filthy and mould in most corners of the room with pictures evidence sent and was offered this to be “cleaned” rather than treated. Slugs made their way in to the shower most days and there trails over the floor daily water constantly going cold and tried to charge for most things once I have left. I would stay well clear of my house agents

Review regarding Paul Owen

Review regarding Paul Owen,
     myhouseagents.co.uk   /   myhouseaway.co.uk

My friend and I rented a property in Beaumaris, ( 51 Church Street ) Wales via Airbnb for 4 nights in June 2022 at a cost of £548 for the 4 nights.
We had a lovely time in Beaumaris but there were some issues with the property, consequently I emailed the above company with specific details and photographs stating that I would not put a review onto Airbnb until after I had received their response regarding the problems. After 10 days I still had not received a reply. I also received an e mail from Airbnb stating that I only had 2 days left to put my review on their system. Unfortunately as I had received no reply from my e mails I put my review onto Airbnb.

I very quickly received an e mail from Paul Owen stating that they had not received any of the 4 emails that I had sent and could I re send them, which I did. It was very unfortunate that the company didn't receive the emails as I would have preferred to resolve the issues without having to put a negative review onto the system. I have no idea why he didn't receive them and neither did he. They were in my outbox as delivered.

There were approximately 14 issues with the property and I forwarded 23 supporting photographs. To me, they were constructive criticism that the company may not have been aware of.

For most of the queries Paul Owen came up with a negative answer ( although he did state that he was taking it seriously )  but his responses made me believe that he was not. I have put a couple of examples below. There are too many to list them all.

▪︎No shelf to put any items around the basin area also no towel rail near hand basin.

Pauls reply :  bathroom cabinet provided

▪︎Old worn out bathmat-

Pauls reply :  washed regular just rubber back washed but very usable?

▪︎Broken door. ( large split in it ) same with double bedroom door-
small child could get fingers stuck.

Pauls reply :  original doors ( kept as they are original but still functionable )

▪︎No temperature control valve on radiator in bathroom–we could not turn the heat off. Which made the room too hot as the weather was hot outside.

Pauls reply :  removed for circulation issue

All of the issues were not major, but did need attention. I was hoping that Paul Owen would take a while to look into them all, then get back to me regarding his findings. Bit it was not to be.

He replied very quickly with answers as above.
In my opinion he shows a lack of care for his customers and does not appear to be interested in any feedback unless it is totally positive.
