I look forward to getting this box…

I look forward to getting this box every month. There is always wonderful surprises inside! I also love to read the booklet packed in the box. Great stories and explanations of your wonderful gifts. I so enjoy the monthly emails from Katherine. Pictures, tours, recipes, songs - I could go on! I’ve been to Ireland and really want to return. One more thing - my husband is Irish but I am not! But I feel it in my heart!

My Ireland Box monthly surprises...

I received January's My Ireland Box on January 20th and I was delighted by how special and thoughtful the surprises were.
I especially liked the note regarding the three sisters diary and joyful moments companion. It really hit home and I feel that an important message was shared.
This was my second favorite box to date. My favorite was the one with the beautiful little painting.
I look forward to receiving my box each month and can't wait for the treats to be included again.

Thank you so much Jody, I am so happy to hear how much the January box meant to you. The message behind the Three Sisters diary and the joyful moments companion was very special to us as well, so it means a lot that it resonated with you.

I love that you mentioned the framed artwork too. That piece was extra special to create. It was a beautiful print that was carefully framed and wrapped by the gallery team in Cork, and it truly was a lovely collaboration between Dingle and Cork to bring that scene to life. We adored how it captures the feeling of standing inside a cosy Irish cottage while looking out toward the wild Atlantic beyond. We will work with that gallery again very soon ;).

We are working hard behind the scenes and are really looking forward to bringing treats back into the boxes - again, imminent! Thank you for being such a valued part of our MyIrelandBox community.

I love every minute of opening MyIreland Box

I love every minute of opening MyIreland boxes. You can tell how much care and thought goes into each box. From the artisans to the wrapping. In a world that seems so dismal some days - there is such joy in just opening this box. I had an issue with a box not being delivered due to a postal strike in my country. When MyIreland Box could not get a sufficient answer from the courier, they made right on things, from their end, right away and the missing box arrived on my doorstep soon after. It turned out to be my favourite box yet. If you wonder whether you should give MyIreland Box a try - do your heart a favour and do it. You won’t be disappointed.

A monthly hug for my heart!

I’ve been a subscriber for over 2 years now and I still fill with excitement when I open my monthly box! Katharine and her team do a superb job curating each box with the most lovely items from Ireland… many are specially crafted for MIB and not available otherwise! I’ve been to Ireland 5 times and I am amazed by the value of each box. I am looking forward to the next one☘️

Thank you so much Karen, I loved reading this. It means so much that after more than two years you still feel that excitement opening your MyIrelandBox. I wonder have you ever travelled down here to Dingle during your visits to Ireland?

You are so right about many pieces being created especially for MyIrelandBox. That is becoming even more special heading into 2026. Throughout 2025 we worked very closely with many Irish makers designing and developing new surprises together, and those pieces are now arriving with our packing team. They are beautiful quality and full of meaning. So much thought, time and care goes into creating them and it is lovely to see everything coming together.

Thank you for being such a valued part of our community and for sharing your love of Ireland with us.

Special connections

I have been getting these boxes for almost a year and have been delighted with each one. Surprised is a major positive but also receiving things you use every day or can put where you see them every day make it very special. I like the connection made with people I would never have known otherwise. I ran into trouble getting a box in November but the problem was solved satisfactorily. I wouldn’t want to give up this pleasure.

Thank you so much Jean, this is so lovely to read. I am so happy the boxes have become part of your everyday life and that the pieces bring little reminders of Ireland into your home. The connections you mentioned are one of the most special parts of MyIrelandBox for me as well, introducing members to Irish makers, stories, and traditions that might otherwise never cross paths. It is also wonderful seeing friendships and support grow between members within our community, especially through the Facebook group where people share stories, recipes, and encouragement with one another.

I am also very glad we were able to resolve the November issue for you. We treasure you as a member and thank you for being with us for almost a year. We put a great deal of thought into what we include and always hope each surprise is something you will use, enjoy, and hold onto for years to come.

MIB member

Hi there,
I would like to share my experience in a few words (if that's even possible)🙂 I've been receiving MIB since last April and not only have i gained a lot of knowledge about my Irish ancestry but I've become a family member with the MIB community. Every month the sights and smells of Ireland arrive at my door. I've been to Ireland twice and each time I leave, a piece of me stays. But with the box arriving every month, it helps in such a big way.
I feel that the items are worth way more than what I pay for them each month. And the time and effort Katharine puts into creating this treasure is mind blowing. The booklet she creates takes me back to Ireland, the recipe cards are large and very beautiful and every month I get to watch wonderful videos sent to my email. It would take too long to list the beautiful high quality items I've received, but just know the MIB is pure joy for me and my family. Thank you so much, Katharine and team.
I knew I couldn't just say a few words!! 😂

I am very sorry to read this and to hear that you feel let down. Not receiving boxes is upsetting and I completely understand why you would feel frustrated, especially if one of those boxes was the reason you joined.

Without an order name or email linked to this review, I am unable to locate your account to investigate what happened. We would never ignore missing deliveries and we always work to resolve them when they occur, whether that means replacement or refund depending on the situation.

If you are willing to contact our support team at help@myirelandbox.com with your details, I will personally ask that your case is reviewed as quickly as possible.

We have been sending Irish made gifts worldwide since 2013 and take care of our members very seriously. I am sorry this has been your experience and I would like the opportunity to look into it properly for you.

This is a great way to experience the country of my father’s family. The stories from Katherine make you feel like you are there with her. The items in the box are always a surprise. I shared some of the items with my family members. I have even gifted my sisters boxes for their birthday month. What a surprise it was for them!!! From home spun neck scarves and blankets, tea bag dishes, oh and the wonderful food items— I feel like I am there. The recipes bring the country home to our homes. I can’t wait to see what us next in MyIrelandBox!!!

Contents not what's pictured in ads

I started a 1 year subscription in September after returning from Ireland. My first box was apparently destroyed in a back log in US Customs. Subsequent boxes have arrived but with no food items and very sparsely packed. Why would I want a candle from Ireland when there was nothing especially Irish about it? No silver shamrock necklace as advertised. Christmas box was a book written by an Irish author, a few recipe cards, and a small 2026 calendar. Not worth the money at all and nothing that really said "Christmas in Ireland" to me. I'm going to try to cancel my subscription. Very, very disappointed in this company.

Dear Joady,

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you felt disappointed, and I want to set out the full picture for anyone reading so they can see exactly what was included and why many members have written to say how much they loved these months.

First, about September. A small fraction of boxes were damaged or destroyed by UPS during a U.S. customs backlog. This was outside our control. We refunded every affected member promptly, including you.

Now to what you actually received.

December

Our Irish Christmas MyIrelandBox brought a real piece of Ireland home.
• A luxurious Irish scarf woven on historic looms in Killarney National Park, valued at over 40 USD and made especially for our members.
• A beautiful enamel shamrock ornament for the tree.
• A book by a local author centred around Christmastime in Ireland, valued at about €15.
• Two seasonal Irish recipes from our home.
• A 2026 calendar with images of Ireland - unique to MyIrelandBox
• The MyIrelandBox booklet, researched and written by me to bring you into the heart of an Irish Christmas.
We have received wonderful feedback on this box, especially for the quality of the scarf and the storytelling in the booklet.

October ~ “Halloween by the Irish Fireside”

To avoid customs delays during the FDA backlog, October was made food-free and focused on long-lasting artisan pieces that create a true fireside feeling at home.
• Rathbornes “Seanchai Ember” candle. Hand-poured in Dublin by the world’s oldest candlemaker. This is a premium, expensive candle chosen to reflect October storytelling by the hearth.
• Sheep oven glove. We worked closely with the maker to make it extra thick and durable. It matches the sheep canvas tote by O’Connell that many members received in September.
• Hardback Irish Farmhouse recipe book with 100 recipes. A substantial kitchen keepsake that members have been using and enjoying.
• High-quality Shamrock Irish waffle tea towel. The same quality we use daily in our own kitchen here in Dingle.
• The October booklet, a full journey from Cobh and Spike Island to a thatched cottage in Tipperary and Georgian Dublin, written to place you beside the fire with us….and of course the Irish recipe.

November

Members have been cooking the potato recipe and posting photos in our Facebook group, which has been a joy to see. Your box also included:
• A hand-turned Irish wood salt pot etched with “Buíochas” by Warren Hayes of Coolree Design in County Kildare.
• A lap blanket in a classic tartan woven by Spence Bryson, Belfast, a textile house with over a century of heritage.
• A pair of Irish socks by Dave and Fashion Flo, Dublin city.
• A set of six Irish art cards by John Galvin, sourced and printed with Blue Shoe Gallery, County Cork. Many members have framed these at home.
• A recipe card for colcannon cakes that brought back warm memories for many.

About the necklace offer. Our free sterling-silver shamrock necklace is a welcome gift for new members on a three-month recurring plan. It does not apply to a twelve-month plan, which already carries a lower price per box than monthly or three-month plans. That keeps our pricing fair across the community.

We take great care to curate Irish-made quality and authentic storytelling every month. October through December focused on premium, lasting pieces and the immersive booklet journeys that many members consider the heart of MyIrelandBox. If anything in your deliveries was missing or arrived less than perfect, please email help@myirelandbox.com so we can put it right.

My daughter got me this box for…

My daughter got me this box for Christmas. For what you spent on this box you definitely do not get your money's worth. The silver Cloverleaf necklace it was supposed to come in the Christmas Box did not I ended up with a painted three leaf clover I guess it's a necklace it came with a rope that wasn't even tied. Maybe it was an ornament for the tree because it was big enough for it. There was no food or teas to try. I got a book and then another book and two recipe cards the nicest thing in the whole box was the wool scarf it's very thin and short but it was from Ireland so I did enjoy that. It's not that I didn't like it it's the fact that I was really looking forward to having more things in the Box also trying some teas or cookies or anything from there. Didn't get any of them got a book. So I felt bad that my daughter spent that much money on a gift for me expecting to really enjoy something from Ireland. She was also disappointed and what came for a December gift box.

Reply from MyIrelandBox

Dear Cathy

Thank you for your message. I’m surprised to hear your gift didn’t feel as special as you hoped, and I’d like to clarify what was included and how our offers work so readers have the full picture.

About the free necklace
Our sterling-silver shamrock necklace is a welcome gift for new three-month recurring plans only. It is not included with one-time gift boxes, and it’s also not included with twelve-month or 6 month prepaid plans (these are discounted plan per month and hence that is the saving or free gift). The piece is handmade in Dublin and valued at over $70, so limiting it to new recurring plans keeps our pricing fair and sustainable for everyone.

The “cloverleaf”
What you received was a shamrock enamel ornament presented in a keepsake box, designed to hang on the Christmas tree. It is not a necklace, and the cord is the hanger. Many members loved adding this Irish symbol to their tree.

What was in the December box
December’s MyIrelandBox focused on premium Irish-made pieces that our community has rated very highly:
• A heritage scarf woven within Killarney National Park on looms that are over 200 years old. This is a beloved piece here in our own family and team, and among members. The scarf alone is valued at well over $40 USD.
• The shamrock enamel ornament above.
• A wonderful book by a favorite Irish author to bring you right into an Irish Christmas. We love this book so much!
• A unique calendar made in County Kerry with beautiful images of Ireland. Curated by us here at MyIrelandBox.
• Two family recipes, which many members have been cooking and posting in our Facebook group.
• My 70–80 page booklet, researched and written each month to bring you on a journey across Ireland, plus my weekly Postcards from Ireland by email to keep the connection alive.

Why no food right now
Because of a significant U.S. FDA customs backlog, we kept December food-free to avoid delays or holds. That decision was about getting your gift to you on time. While we often include Irish treats when customs allow, food is not the heart of MyIrelandBox. The heart is the connection to Ireland through Irish-made craftsmanship and the storytelling that travels with it. Food will be back in a few weeks! Lots of it!

On value
The cost to the purchaser for a single box is around $50, and the total retail value is well above that. December’s scarf alone covers most of that amount, before the book, ornament, calendar, recipes, and the booklet.

If anything in your box was missing or arrived less than perfect, please email help@myirelandbox.com and we will put it right. We care deeply about every experience and would love the chance to make yours feel as warm and joyful as intended.

Warm wishes from Dingle,
Katharine

Sadly a disappointment...

The My Ireland Box used to be a nice surprise each month. But, after 2 years it's suddenly gone straight down hill. It's basically an empty box now. It's not worth the $60. charged each month. I asked for my subscription to be canceled but they just keep charging my credit card. I've now been told you have to block them from your card to stop them. It's a box of repeat items, no snacks in the last 3 months, and it's become an expensive disappointment.

Disappointed, Frustrated and lost my Trust

I have been receiving a box for many years. I ordered an extra necklace for September and never received the box. I also at a different time ordered 2 small jars of spices. I received the spices. After several emails and their insistence that I received my September box, I did not get my problem resolved. I had in the meantime suspended my subscription and they still charged me for the October box. As of October 20, 2025, I still have not even received that box. Until now, I have been extremely happy with the company but now I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I really don’t trust them anymore

Dear Dan,

Thank you for your message, and I’m truly sorry to hear that you’re feeling disappointed after many years as a valued member.

I’d like to respond clearly to each of your concerns to help rebuild your trust:

September Box: Our records show that your September MyIrelandBox was delivered on Wednesday, August 27th, and we have an image confirming delivery to your doorstep. Unfortunately, it seems it may have been stolen after delivery, something entirely outside our control, but still upsetting. We are emailing you that proof of delivery image now.

September Pendant: The necklace you mention was not part of the September box ~ you placed a separate order for it to be included with your next box (October), which is exactly where it is. It’s safely inside your October MyIrelandBox.

October Box: Your October box was shipped later than usual to give U.S. Customs extra time to clear a severe backlog caused by new U.S. tariff regulations, especially relating to de minimis changes and FDA restrictions on certain items. This affected courier processing speeds, and while your box is in transit, UPS tracking emails were delayed. We’re working closely with them but note we have accessed your tracking and emailed it to you.

Your Subscription: Jovana had been in regular contact with you, but she unfortunately missed three messages you sent on October 9th ~ for that, we sincerely apologise. You were charged in early September for your October box, and on October 4th for November, before your cancellation request on the 9th.
• Your subscription is now fully cancelled, so there will be no future payments.
• You’ll still receive your October box (with the pendant) and your November box, which you paid for.

Stay Updated: We’d love to invite you to join our MyIrelandBox Facebook group, where I share regular video updates and answer member questions about shipping and more.

We’ve been proudly serving members & sending MyIrelandboxes since 2013, and I’m so sorry that this experience has caused frustration. I hope the full picture now offers clarity ~ and I truly hope your next two deliveries bring back a little of the joy you’ve come to expect from us.

Warm regards,
Katharine

Buyer beware

I signed up for one year on 07/2025 and received my first box in August. I never received my September box and was told UPS destroyed it. Had many emails before they finally refunded me 10/14/2025. They charged my 09/25/2025 for my October box. Still have not received it. Have requested tracking information and after multiple emails received a tracking number from this company but when I entered the information discovered it is going to the Netherlands not the US where I am located. Multiple attempts to get correct information has been ignored so with no options I have tried to cancel this membership but was told I still have 9 months remaining in my contract and they will not cancel until I fulfil my commitment.

Let me be clear I have been charged for 3 boxes but only received 1. This company does not respond to emails and is unwilling to address issues. I have finally filed a complaint with my bank to try to recoup my payments and hopefully cancel any future payments as this is a dishonest company.
Very disappointed in My Ireland Box, would not recommend to anyone

Hi Mary,

Thank you for your feedback, I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience and want to clarify a few important points.

✅ September Box: A small number of September boxes were unfortunately destroyed by UPS due to U.S. customs disruptions and new de minimis tariff regulations. This was completely outside our control, and every member who received the “destroyed” email was refunded. Your refund was processed on October 14th. Please check your inbox, spam, or junk folders, as Jovana responds to all customer emails.

✅ October Box: All October boxes have shipped. UPS routes all international parcels through their Netherlands hub before flying to the U.S. ~ this is normal procedure. Your box is not stuck; it is in transit to the U.S. and due to arrive shortly.

📦 Shipping Timing: We intentionally shipped the October boxes later to allow U.S. customs delays from September to ease. Your box is on its way.

📧 Emails: We respond to every message, and if you’ve received replies referring to your subscription commitment, it means we’ve been in contact. Please do check your folders ~ especially spam or promotions tabs if using Gmail.

💬 Community Updates: Have you joined our private MyIrelandBox Facebook group(s)? I personally post regular video updates and behind-the-scenes info to keep members in the loop ~ including daily updates on the very issues you raised.

💚 Membership: MyIrelandBox is a subscription service with commitment terms outlined at sign-up. That said, I’ve asked Jovana to review your membership and assist you personally.

We’ve proudly served members since 2013 with honesty and care, and I’m very sorry that this has been your experience. We’re working hard with UPS to improve tracking visibility and shipping timeframes going forward, and we’ll do all we can to support you.

Warm regards,
Katharine

I signed up for a 3-month subscription with My Ireland Box. After receiving two boxes, I contacted them multiple times to cancel due to financial hardship. They continued attempting to bill me and offered no working way to cancel through their website, as claimed.

Their lack of transparency and refusal to acknowledge direct emails is deeply disappointing. I had to block charges through my bank to prevent further attempts.

Be careful before signing up—this subscription is not easy to cancel.

Hi Shayna,

I’m really sorry to hear that this has been such a frustrating experience for you.

I’ve checked in with our customer care team, and I understand there was a detailed email exchange explaining the terms of the plan you chose and working with you to find a solution. Our 3-month option is a commitment to three boxes, as outlined at checkout and again in the welcome email. You can cancel at any point to prevent a renewal after those three months, but the full plan runs its course once it’s begun.

We send emails that include a link to manage your membership directly, and we respond to all queries with care and as promptly as possible. If a reply didn’t reach you, it will have landed in a spam or junk folder, which can be frustrating, I know.

We’ve been sending MyIrelandBoxes from Dingle since 2013, with heart and honesty at the centre of everything we do. If there’s anything still unresolved, I’d love to help. Please feel free to email me directly at info@myirelandbox.com.

Warm wishes,
