Amazing Experience with National Upskill

I had to change my apprenticeship provider half way through my apprenticeship and National Upskill have went out of their way to ensure this was an easy and comfortable transition. I'd like to thank my tutor - Mish as she has been exceptionally helpful and supportive throughout this and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to teach me! She is always available to help and goes above and beyond to make sure I understand the material, have enough resources and provides encouragement. I would recommend National Upskill to anyone considering an apprenticeship.

A thoroughly well-deserved 5★ review.

National UpSkill truly came to our rescue towards the end of last year when our Business Administration Apprenticeship provider went into administration, leaving us in the challenging position of needing to find a new provider to support our apprentices.

Mark Guiver, Senior Partnership Manager, stepped in immediately and, alongside Stuart Prior, Managing Director, and Mish McFarland, Vocational and Functional Skills Tutor, worked tirelessly to make the transfer process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

During the transition, it became clear that our previous provider had unfortunately left our apprentices behind, with progress not aligned to the time they had already spent on their apprenticeships. National UpSkill were completely unfazed by this challenge and committed themselves to getting our apprentices back on track. Mish, in particular, invested significant time in creating a clear and realistic schedule to ensure the apprentices could still complete within the original timescales.

In all honesty, moving to National UpSkill turned out to be the best possible outcome, and we only wish we had chosen them as our provider from the outset. They are now very much our provider of choice going forward, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Transfer of apprenticeship

I have had an amazing experience with this company when my last apprenticeship provider went into administration, and the process with Nation Upskill was smooth. I didnt lose any of my previous work and National Upskill allowed me to embed that to my work. I have not had to redo any work, but to structure my work correctly with the help of the workbooks provided.

I am currently enrolled onto my Level 5 payroll assistant manager course.
My whole experience has been positive, to my onboarding process to the tutoring.
I've been made to feel at ease, and I can say I feel 100% fully supported by Sarah. I am looking forward to the next 18 months of my journey with National Upskill.

Excellent

My experience so far has been nothing but positive for me. My tutor (Sarah Johnson) has been helping me tremendously and has been very thorough with every detail and is very quick to respond whenever I am struggling with course work or unsure in a lesson.

Enjoying the Payroll Course

I am currently studying Payroll with National Upskill and so far my experience has been very positive. The course materials are clear, well organised, and easy to understand. The support team and tutors are very helpful and respond quickly when I need assistance. I am learning valuable payroll knowledge and feel confident continuing my studies. I would recommend National Upskill to anyone considering payroll training.

Outstanding experience with National Upskill – highly recommend!

I’ve had a fantastic experience with National Upskill so far, and a huge part of that is thanks to my tutor, Mish. From the very start, the support has been professional, well-structured, and genuinely focused on helping me succeed.

Mish is an exceptional tutor, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly encouraging. Concepts were explained clearly, no question ever felt like a “silly” one, and I always felt supported throughout my learning journey. Mish’s teaching style made even challenging topics feel manageable and boosted my confidence massively.

National Upskill provides high-quality learning materials, great communication, and a supportive environment that truly wants learners to progress and achieve their goals. I already feel far more skilled, confident, and prepared thanks to this course.

Highly recommend the National Upskill Apprenticeship Program!

I am currently completing my Payroll Qualification Level 5 through the National Upskill Apprenticeship Program, and I have had a great experience so far. The coursework is very practical and structured in a way that makes complex payroll concepts easy to understand and apply in real work situations.

I would especially like to highlight Sarah Johnson, Lead Tutor, who has been outstanding throughout the course. She is extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and understanding of the fact that most of us are working professionals with busy office schedules. Sarah provides excellent flexibility, allowing us to balance our coursework alongside our regular work commitments without added pressure.

Whenever extra support was needed, Sarah was always available and willing to help, whether through guidance, clarification, or additional resources. Her approachability and dedication truly make a difference. I would highly recommend the National Upskill Apprenticeship Program, especially for professionals looking to upskill while continuing full-time work.

My tutor has been very supportive and…

My tutor has been very supportive and approachable throughout my training. They explain topics clearly and take the time to make sure everyone understands before moving on. Lessons are well structured and easy to follow, which has helped me build confidence in my learning.

The tutor encourages questions and creates a positive learning environment where it feels comfortable to ask for help. Feedback is always constructive and helpful, and any areas I am unsure about are explained again in a clear and patient way.

Overall, my tutor has been knowledgeable, professional, and supportive, and has played a key role in helping me progress during my apprenticeship.

Sarah Johnson

I'm really enjoying my time at National Upskill on my payroll apprenticeship. My Tutor Sarah Johnson is a blessing, and I couldn't have asked for a better tutor to teach me a new subject. My experience as an apprentice with National Upskill

I am currently studying for my Level 5 Coaching Professional qualification, and am about half way through.

My experience with all the team at National Upskill has been brilliant from the start and continues to be.

My tutor Gill is always available to offer guidance and support both inside and outside of my workshop sessions. The sessions themselves are really well paced, with a great amount of time for discussion as well as the sharing of Gill's knowledge.

I'm having such a great experience I have recommended it to a colleague!

Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have what you need to succeed. They respond to messages quickly and are patient with the occasional bumps in the road. Also, my tutor really knows his stuff.

I have recently started a Level 5 Apprenticeship with National Upskill, the quality and service of their tutoring and materials are outstanding. Level 4 Digital Accessibility Specialist Apprenticeship

I am seven months into my 24 month apprenticeship - Level 4 Digital Accessibility Specialist. I've noticed a huge change in my confidence when discussing accessibility with colleagues, and my knowledge is ever expanding!

I've learned so much about how different people use websites and apps, whether they're using screen readers, voice recognition software, keyboard navigation, or need simpler layouts because of cognitive disabilities.

The complexities of the intertwining legalities and guidelines is a meaty subject to cover, but what I love about National Upskill's approach is that my tutor, Barrie, considers my learning style and thought processes when setting tasks, and breaks everything down into monthly chunks that don't leave me feeling swamped – and the tasks are super clear, so I always know exactly what I need to do next.

The steady pace has made learning about digital accessibility enjoyable, and I can keep up with my day job without stressing out. It's honestly the perfect setup for learning something new while working full-time.

Mish is the best tutor ever !!

Mish has been an outstanding tutor throughout my apprenticeship journey. Her support has been consistent, genuine, and incredibly impactful.

She always ensures that the learning truly sticks by incorporating interactive quizzes during our sessions, which I find extremely helpful for retaining knowledge.

Her teaching style is engaging and enjoyable, and she creates an environment where everyone feels comfortable and encouraged to participate. Mish goes above and beyond to support us. Not just academically, but also in our day-to-day roles.
Whether she’s explaining a complex task or helping to navigate workplace challenges, she’s always there with practical advice, encouragement, and positivity.

Her energy, kindness, and infectious smile have genuinely made a difference to my learning experience. Every online session has been something to look forward to, thanks to her uplifting attitude .

I am working towards my Level 5…

I am working towards my Level 5 Professional Coaching qualification through National Upskill and my experience so far has been first rate. Initial conversations about enrolling were really informative, with a key focus on the right fit for me, it wasn't sales like at all. My tutor Gill is so knowledgeable and helpful, and available to answers questions outside our sessions if I need help. The sessions we have are flexible and Gill is really accommodating to my hectic works schedule which is appreciated! Very nice touch when I enrolled of a personalised note pad being delivered to me, a real wow moment and set the tone for a great experience so far.
