Poor service in poor company

Today I’d like to share my experience working with Native Teams. To say it was terrible would be an understatement. I strongly discourage anyone from dealing with this company, where it seems no one truly understands what they are supposed to do or how to do it.

I didn’t want to speak publicly about this and hoped to forget the experience like a bad dream. But this morning, I received an email from this wonderful company (even though I terminated all relations with them about a month ago) claiming I now owe them €1,284.02. So let me explain everything step by step.

At the start, I was looking for an intermediary company, and out of the available options, Native Teams was the cheapest (as the saying goes, buy cheap—pay twice). I decided to give them a try. The first call with their specialist seemed very professional: all my questions were answered, a clear action plan was put together, and everything looked promising. What could possibly go wrong? As it turned out—everything.

After this call, they sent me a link to fill in my personal details and upload scans of my passport and residence permit. That’s where things started to get complicated. Once you upload the documents, you just have to wait while they review them—and if something is wrong, you simply get an email saying that something is wrong. What exactly? No idea. I spent some time figuring this out and finally got past it.

Then I had to complete another form and pay a fee. However, the payment system didn’t work. Eventually, they just sent me a Google Document with the same questions, explaining that payment wasn’t functioning but without any further clarification. Surprisingly, signing the contract went relatively smoothly, and in that process, I probably made more mistakes than they did.

The real trouble started midway through the first month when, in my personal account on their platform, I saw that a salary liability was accumulating—the amount my employer had to cover before they could pay me. At the same time, I began receiving daily warning emails telling me that I had 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 days to resolve this issue or else… something bad would happen (what exactly—never explained).

After the countdown ended, even more aggressive messages started coming from “credit control.” After many conversations with their support team (which, honestly, is awful), I learned these threatening emails were supposedly just reminders and that they couldn’t do anything about them. So, effectively, they send alarming emails that serve no purpose except to make clients anxious.

Eventually, I decided to ignore them. But it’s still worth asking: which client is expected to pay their salary in the middle of the same month? This was never clarified.

Then, with my first paycheck, they chose not to deduct the 10 days I hadn’t worked in January (since I started on the 10th) and instead paid me the full month. Only the following month did I discover that they would retroactively deduct those days, creating a debt. You could argue I should have guessed this, but (1) I had never dealt with such arrangements before, and (2) the company never informed me in advance.

Even more surprisingly, the debt was added on top of my salary instead of being deducted. No one made any effort to correct this until I pointed out that, legally, they weren’t allowed to do that.

Whenever you try to order any additional service or assistance from them, you’ll be waiting for a month or longer. The level of service is simply unacceptable.

The final straw was when I decided to terminate our cooperation. I asked many questions to make sure I did everything properly so there would be no unresolved issues. I received clear answers from support and thought everything was finally sorted out. However, the problems returned when a different support agent started replying to the same questions, giving completely opposite answers or asking me the same things over and over again—as if no one had ever read the previous correspondence. Every time, it felt like starting from scratch.

After countless messages and frustrations, we eventually agreed on everything and signed the termination documents. The documents were signed, the relationship officially ended, and all payments were settled. The final payment was actually higher than I expected, but I assumed it was compensation for unused vacation, since I had never taken any time off (once again, no explanation from the company).

I thought that was the end of it—until this morning, when I received an email claiming I owe them money (the amount I mentioned earlier) for something called “rebalancing.” No prior warning, no details. I don’t even have an account with you anymore—so where exactly did you record this “debt”?

Hi Maksim,

We’re sorry to hear about your negative impression of our service. We take every piece of feedback seriously, and we’re genuinely disappointed that your experience didn’t meet your expectations.

That said, we’d like to clarify a few important points:
Throughout your time with Native Teams, our team remained available and supportive, responding to your requests and questions promptly. We understand that administrative processes can sometimes be complex, especially when dealing with international employment, but we’ve done our best to explain every step transparently.

The charge you mentioned relates to a clearly defined employment cost and it is but a standard part of the process. Once we clarified this with you, we mutually agreed and found a resolution, something we consider to be a fair and professional conclusion.
We’re not here to dispute your right to share your experience, but we also want to make it clear that our actions were not unjustified. Our team always acted in good faith and supported you throughout your employment period, including at termination.

If you have any unresolved questions, we’re more than happy to continue the conversation privately and work towards further clarity.

Thank you,

NT Team

I started using native teams from…

I started using native teams from about a month ago.

Positive:
The sales guy Konstantinos was great if anything gave extra info beyond our initial scope which turned out to be needed anyway. Answered our questions and made sure to check in on us as we started to put things together ready to start.

Negative:
Customer success/onboarding has been slow. Have a ‘bug’ in our login I am told, which is stopping us viewing our account and updates on a solution are slow. General communication I think could be better.

*UPDATE* bugs fixed and system working everything seems to be going well now.

Hi ilearner,

Thank you for sharing your feedback — we’re sorry to hear about your concerns. We’ve had a longstanding partnership with your organisation and have always valued the relationship we’ve built, which makes it all the more important for us to address this thoughtfully.

To clarify, the three-business-day processing time for withdrawals and card top-ups has consistently been part of our standard procedures and communicated accordingly. While we understand that delays can be frustrating, it’s important to note that we are not a banking or payments institution, and therefore do not process transactions in real time. That said, we are actively exploring opportunities to optimise and improve turnaround times wherever possible.

We truly value your input and remain open to continued, constructive dialogue. Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly if you'd like to discuss this further.

Best regards,

Very poor comms, then just went silent

We have been trying to onboard with Native Teams for 6 or so weeks, and they have stopped responding to emails. There are no phone numbers, no chat facility, and even the sales person is now just ignoring us. There were multiple inaccuracies in what they told us at the start, and they took even a long time to give us correct bank details to pay into during onboarding. But to just go completely silent on us and leave us hanging was terrible customer service. It feels like Native teams was just set up, or has just gone bust!

Terrible experience (Italy)

Not sure who trained their accountants, but they've messed up sooo badly for the past two months, that this may even affect my taxes for the rest of the year. It took them so long to admit to their mistakes, but even then they try and make it out like it's not an urgent problem. Two months on we're still nowhere near a resolution - I just keep getting emails to 'reassure me' they'll give me an update ASAP.

They've also sent me someone else's payslip TWICE, which is a massive data breach. I have no words! You definitely get what you pay for with a service like this - there's a reason why they're cheaper. Avoid them.

Scam

Scam. I completed KYC and then sent a payment request for testing purposes. Guess what? Their true face revealed. The moment I sent the payment request, my account status went from "verified" to "not verified". Then they sent an email saying I have to complete KYC again, have to provide job details and proof, and have to provide the relationship with the payer. They also asked for an EML file and screenshot of the conversation with the payer, can you imagine? And they expect me to write an essay on the purpose of the payment request/invoice. They do this because they don't want you to withdraw the money, they will hold the money and ask for these things, then they will pretend like they are not convinced and eventually steal your money.
