Hi Pat, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. We very much value all reviews, good or bad, because we do want customers to make informed choices, and we only want to stock products that people like. Reviews are one way that we discover if they do or not!
We do have one or two star reviews on other products, and people's experiences vary. What tastes good to one person may not to another. And with products like the silver gel, we can't promise that it will work on a specific condition anyway. The balance of formal and informal feedback we have received for it suggests that it is helpful for many people. But your review will be helpful to show people that it doesn't always work for everyone.
I'm particularly grateful to you alerting me to the glitch on our review system. We have recently updated how it works, and I wasn't aware there was a problem. I have been able to reproduce the error message you got in my testing. However, the same alert comes up whether I was testing with a 1* review or a 5* review. No wonder reviews have been quiet lately!
