I had experience with Mentor which shows that this company is nothing more than then a joke.
So called expert Employment law advisors are not a lawyers. They will not protect you and anything you say and discuss with them can be used in ET against you. Their advice is is mostly their own opinions and without any practical experience of law practice they will try to play down your problem and try to play safe to prevent Mentor insurance to pay for any potential ET . During time with Mentor and my disciplinary proces advice given had many mistakes example given . I was told SAR respond you have 2 months to respond which was wrong . It is 1 month. Advise was given that it would be good to hear apeal even if this would come up to 2 weeks after final dismissal date . In fact it is 5 days under Acas code of practice . Their advice unfortunately was poor on many aspects. Paper work prepared for disciplinary hearing had mistakes that lead to lot of stress during ET and use if many more resources to defend it. Overall my advice is stay away from this company. It is nothing more then waste of money. Even after my complaint to Mentor and after pointing out mistakes with evidence in records i was not given even simple apology. In fact this is final email from complaint department.
„”We have disclosed the records and recordings we have on file. Whilst the advice summary is never a verbatim record of what was discussed, we are confident that they reflect the advice given. We note your right to escalate the matter to FOS. We will await their engagement. Other than that, we consider this complaint concluded, albeit on terms that we recognise do not meet with your expectations. FOS will ask you to confirm that we have concluded the complaint. This email serves as such.””
Evidence i have is :
Poor and incomplete records of voice recordings.
Evidence of wrong advice given against what is legally required
Evidence of mistake in paper work prepared for ET
And just to summarize overall advice that was poor and sided on Mentor side to prevent insurance payment from ET claim.
My ET was last year and we had it defended. Mentor litigation team was good but overall advice given prior by so called " Employment law experts" to that was poor . I was advised not to dismiss because it would be risky and will go to ET and I can lose. Well I didn’t. I went against this advice and defend claim
Don’t waste money on Mentor . It is a joke of the HR advisory service.
IF you look at green 5 stars reviews on Mentor all are done in clusters of 3 all same date or very close. it looks like they are actually make fake good reviews them self to keep rating up. this company is a fraud .
yes their are nice people to chat to. but you can really speak with them confidently about weather, good book or latest movie . Getting advice from so called "experts in employment law" is waste of your time. they have now clue what they talked about and never practiced law .

We as a company having been using Mentor for years, i started in 2021 and have had an exceptional 3 years with them. Every single advisor/case Manager is polite and patient. I have learnt on the job so unaware of certain processes but they never made me feel stupid. I would like to say a huge thanks to Karen- our account Manager and my biggest helper. Couldn't fault her at all and always made herself available for a chat or some advice at a click of finger. I would 100% recommend using Mentor for your HR services...they are simply THE BEST :)

My organisation joined Natwest Mentor in 2016.
As an SME without a dedicated HR professional on staff, the service provided by Natwest Mentor is invaluable to our organisation.
The service is friendly and supportive and has helped with various challenges over the years.
The online training is excellent and auditable.
Our account manager checks in regularly and we have an active management plan which ensures we are up-to-date with changes in legislation.
Natwest Mentor is a great safety net for SMEs in particular and is excellent value for money.

Our company have been RBS Mentor customers for many years for Employment Law - Consultant Alison Maundrill and H&S. Alison has been nothing but approachable, knowledgeable, responsive and professional in her expertise and guidance. I would highly recommend RBS Mentor Services. If our dedicated consultant is not available our case can be picked up by other consultants for continuity of service. Keep up the good work RBS and Alison!

POOR SERVICE, NO CUSTOMER CARE, HIGH COST.
We we lead to believe this service would benefit our business and our staff relations, and to aid our staff in learning useful skills and best practice. 3 years on and I have had the same meeting twice spreed over a 2 year period since we signed up with no guidance and a severe lack of communication. I would avoid at all costs as now we have left the service and are dealing with their complaints they are telling us how our direct line of communication, who we chased monthly, went above and beyond even though he thought his service was so poor that he put in the complaint for us as he felt like he had really dropped the ball on this one. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

***AVOID AVOID AVOID ***As a new business we with limited resources we were sold on the idea of partnering with Natwest Mentor and opted for the higher level insured service. They were hopeless un supportive unhelpful - spent our money unnecessarily and never accepted responsibility for anything. The advice was never pragmatic or commercial they just did everything in their power to ensure that the paying customer would never be able to make a claim - which was always to the benefit of the employee not the employer - they cost us a small fortune !! I have never been so underwhelmed - and as for the complaints process - good luck with that !! I can not stress enough how much you should NOT use these guys

Always make you feel like crap . That you are a useless employer even though you are paying . Not very experienced staff .

What a terrible company. I'll feel very differently about seeing their monotonous adverts which are ubiquitous of course. Nothing but repetitive inane questions. I have all of the details that they could require but they waste time before getting back to me and cause serious delays to progress or my own ambition. Taking an age to answer an enquiry or acknowledge anything whatsoever. Slow slow progress and almost looking for a reason not to be helpful. Really unhappy with service. Not good at all.

Great Course learnt lots of stuff about health and safety that we as a company can now use to move forward to improve our health and safety. Matt was very good at explaining things in detail and the importance of healh and safety.
I have recently completed the IOSH course with Matt, via Natwest Mentor. Our company have recently started using Mentor and I was advised to take this course. I'm very glad I did as it was engaging, easy to follow and Matt was great at explaining and answering any questions I had. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone wanting to learn more about Health & Safety.
Great course. covers all parts of health and saftey for eny level of experience and role in any buisness. Matt was brillaint always made time if stuck or spoke one to one if really not understanding. highly recommend.
I have just completed the IOSH course with Matt through Mentor.
Matt was a great tutor.
I was definitely apprehensive about completing course.
The course was engaging, informal, easy to access and follow via Zoom.
I have gained a lot of knowledge and information from the course.
The course was really helpful, group work really helped consolidate knowledge and it was really good to discuss topics with others from different industries.
Our trainer, Matt was really professional and helpful.
The course was relaxed and informal which put everyone at ease and which I'm sure helped our learning too.
Just completed my IOSH grading and exam with Mentor. Yet another great experience using this platform. Course was engaging and easy to follow. Our instructor Matt well educated, engaging and helpful. Mentor as a complete platform over the past 6months has been great for our business.
