Its not great but it isn't awful just..... meh
After seeing company at the taste of east anglia fair I thought i'd try their coffee as I try to be as local as possible. 20th June I created an account and placed my order, today it turned up "wow that was quick" I thought as I finished my last cup from a roasters in london and and set up a grind for this new stuff.
I cracked open the brazil one first, at first the scent was faint and somewhat musky, not unpleasant just odd but put it down to the roasting process as its a new company to me, now I like my coffee large (16oz or 450ml mug size) so I go for a mid grind 22g to the amount of water and use a clever dripper pour over device hence the mid grind with a 2 minute brew time.
The taste was lacking from experiance of other specialist roasters, no different than a good supermarket coffee bean, so thinking it was me I started again altering the grind, same result just ok nothing amazing i then noticed the roasting date 11 days before I ordered it, I have looked back at the website and in their defence it doesn't say coffee is roasted to order.
All in all it isn't bad coffee just not memorable, glad I tried it but not going to be a return customer.
