Still a superb service.
Still a superb service.
This is an update on my previous review for nebula. Customer service staff has been friendly and flexible with my concerns, and patient with some of my anxious behavior. Emily and Michelle both have been exceptional with keeping me informed on the status of my sample.
My data arrived on time within the 12-14 week mark as promised which I can now use while consulting my genetic counselor and nutritionist. (I'm currently combating fatty liver disease.)
I recommend this company for anyone who wishes to take the inevitable next step early in their medical care.

Amazing Product, Learn a Few Simple Tools to Utilize Information.
Nebula Genomics provides your complete genome along with tools to interpret your results. If you are looking for the basic "I'm x part Irish and y part Norwegian" use Ancestry and get your ever changing percentages. Nebula provides each gene (yes, your whole genome sequenced many times) and with the iobio tool they provide you can find mutations in your genes that allow you then to use the other resources to look up and find the latest scientific studies. If you have a certain disease or are trying to come up with possibilities of you may be genetically susceptible to, nebula is great. They also have a Library which provides reports on many medical conditions (over 300 thus far) with your variants and a percentile score of where you are based on your mutations. I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia after I had my genome run at nebula. They had a report placing me at the 78th percentile, an above average risk of developing CLL. I printed out the report which listed the mutations associated with CLL and took it to my 1st appointment with my Hematologist/Oncologist. She was amazed that I had the report and looked at various genes and mutations listed on it. She kept asking me which company produced this report for me and did I have to specially request it. I told her they did the reports for all their clients. She was really impressed.
What many people don't realize it it has been a relatively short time since the human genome was fully sequenced, 2003 for a large part of the sequence with gaps being filled in in the 20 years since then. The science to diagnose disease from our genome is ongoing and will be for a long time. Each scientific study takes time, people and resources. It will take awhile for the science and medical field to catch up. Currently many common variants are ascribed to diseases which are sure to be removed as the science continues and becomes more precise. You can't have a mutation variant which 75% of people have in their genome cause a disease which one in 10,000 people suffer from. The entire field of genomics is very complex as are the disease processes. People want a dumbed down version with easy answers and that is not going to happen. If you are willing to learn how to use a few resources provided by nebula and ones outside of nebula, you can find all sorts of information. I am not a science expert, my college degree is in Art, and I am in my 60s so did not grow up using technology. If I can read a little and learn how to best use the genome Nebula provides, anyone with an interest and drive to do so can. Their privacy policy is the reason I chose Nebula over other choices. It is a fabulous product for an amazing price.

Not worth it.
I 100% agree with many of the other disgruntled users here. 1) Ancestry: Nebula subs their ancestry out to YFull, which may be good for a geneticist however there is NO readily useful summary, no mapping (nothing like they promote on their marketing page), etc. If you want to spend hours trying to decipher the information i.e. data provided in the form of codes, feel free. In my opinion, it is not a place to start for a layman. 2) Reports: Yes, you will get 350+ reports. Yay! Not so fast! As stated by others, these reports may scare the crap out of you. They also may excite you but in their current form, they are not a true accounting of reality. What Nebula will not state is that these are not necessarily build "for you". Many of them assume a response for a variant which upon closer examination has no bearing on the gene expression. They are not giving you any real "insights" and you will spend a lot of time (if you even have the time) to find out that their synopsis is wrong. Many of the reports do not even have the gene listed (only the variant) so you can't easily do the deeper dive so what is the point of displaying "results". Additionally, some reports show EVERY SINGLE VARIENT to be at EXACTLY 5.00 x 10-8 significance (which is their exact measure of a strong association), this has to be an error, but I will leave it to them to sort it out. 3) Subscription: You will be charged a minimum of $75 for the above difficult to decipher and (for some, maybe most) useless information but you won’t know what you get until you get it and they will NOT refund. So, ask yourself if it’s really worth it. 4) Raw Data: The raw data you receive is not readily uploaded to be shared across other sites. 5) Result: You have now spent at least $325 for data that for most will be inaccurately summarized and useless unless you wanted to pay MORE money to have it interpreted by a geneticist or spend A LOT of time attempting to decipher it yourself. For me, apparently some subset of others, and likely for you, it’s not worth it (for the way this information is presented). If you do go the Nebula route, please be sure of what you are looking at and do not use this information to diagnose yourself or bring into your mind any negative energy about a perceived health issue. The placebo effect is real. If you have hypochondriac tendencies, this WILL NOT help you...and it could hurt you.

Nebula Genetics has the worst results and CS.
Nebula genetics has the worst, and most confusing results I have received, out of three different companies. I received one of their kits, along with a membership. It was a promotion given by the company. It took a while to get my results, and there are so many results for the same diseases. And, all of them have different percentages as to the likelihood that I will get them.
The percentages are calculated only for the number of customers/users they have in their database, which was about 5,000 when I checked in March or 2023. The likelihood of me getting at least 20 terrible diseases, according to their percentage calculations, we're all at 97-100%. I'm pretty sure that I'm not THAT likely to get so many different horrible diseases.
It is absolutely ridiculous as to how much they charge for their services, when they are so shoddy. Also, their customer service is terrible. Because they gave me a promotion on their product, they now refuse to give me any customer service that's worthwhile, if any at all.
I've also used 23andMe and TellMeGen, and those two have a much better interface, the ability to do your own research, and more accurate results. If I were to pick the very best one, it would have to be TellMeGen, as they have a vast amount of information regarding each of your results, and their customer service is so helpful if you ever have any questions at all. (No, I am not affiliated with them, in any way.)
Never in a million years, would I pay the amount that nebula genetics wants for any of their testing kits or memberships. I would not even accept a free one now, knowing what I would be getting.

Long processing time but 100% worth the wait
Tested from Europe and the processing time was almost 4months. But this was 100% worth the wait and it the solution is somewhat affordable! You get a highly comprehensive report on your entire genome and microbiome in addition to the possibility to share the results with private geneticist.

I had a question/issue regarding my billing--Michelle handled it quickly and successfully--many thanks!
They were responsive and supportive and I appreciated the timely updates--great communication!
So far I am impressed with this company and feel confident they will be able to assist me with any future inquiries.

Good quality
You'll definitely need some patience, but the quality of the results and customer support is top notch.

Waited over 9 months to receive a kit and the DNA information - their customer service is super slow and their marketing practices are illegal in Europe.
Then I asked for a refund, since I didn't receive the service that I had paid 500$+ for. They offered me a 50$ refund, which in itself is laughable.
I would strongly advice anyone in Europe to NOT use their services

I think Nebula Genomics is a scam
"What went wrong this time?"
My "results" are wrong and you do not offer any kind of explanation for the wrongness. Every one of your so called reports (rs#) is on 23&me...plus more. Why isnt the plus more on nebula "results"?
Update: sent emails of communications between nebula genomics and myself from Feb 2022 thru 5 2022 under my account name, Peggy Burtwell. They just left me hanging.
I received 284 pages of "reports".
They're not really reports, per se, they're reference sequence numbers to a condition that I may or may not have.
I think this company, Nebula Genomics, might be a scam. Cause the lack of information on so called reports, the lack of support, the lack of communication just does not happen with reliable companies.
Your customer service does not address any issue so I've had to delete your wrong results.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND NEBULA GENOMICS. Absolutely not worth the cost, the wait or the "results".
Waste of time, energy and money.
I do recommend 23&me.
UPDATE 3/17/2023
After a couple of emails from Emily at Nebula, I'm convinced more than ever that NEBULA GENOMICS IS A SCAM.
It's not allowing me to post the screen shots of our emails.
I was told that if I received results that were not my own then maybe a family member would be interested in those "reports"....of MY DNA!
They can not tell me precisely anything about my dna ....nothing.
But, ancestry can.
23&me really can.
My heritage can.
What's the problem, Nebula?
I paid for chromosome sequencing from Nebula Genomics and got told they dont use genetics when making these so called reports...where on my chromosomes can you show me where you got your information?
Because 23&ME can show me plus a whole lot more..... Emily suggested that I use the tool bar. Does that cost extra, Emily?
Everything that I needed to know about my dna is on 23&me. No problems, at all.
Emily, the library that I was referring to is the NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE.GOV.....not Nebula's library.
This is baloney on a very large scale.
And no matter what, you will not receive a refund from these scammers.
I had my so called results for 2 weeks and cancelled my results and account because it was shady from the start.
With 23&me, they send everyones dna to the national library of medicine.gov where they sequence everyones dna and you will have access to all the information in great detail. Not like this vague baloney.
Think twice before giving these guys your money.

Was always curious about DNA testing
Was always curious about DNA testing, and a friend recommended Nebula, Collection process was simple, received the results in 10 weeks as promised. I was amazed by the level of detail in the report and just how much I was able to learn. Encouraging other family members to give it a try. Have a lifetime subscription which is great, as they notify me by email when new reports are available.

These guys are thieves
These guys are thieves. They received my samples at the beginning of 2021, informed me about data readiness, and after 6 months of "dealing" with my case as data couldn't be uploaded, they just disappeared. No money back, no data!
Their customer support is pathetic!
I'm planning to lodge a court case against them for my personal DNA data theft (as well as the money).

Whole exome sequencing without…
Whole exome sequencing without annotation of any kind is meaningless. They provide a polygenic score, but don't do a great job of explaining the meaning of it. This would be a useful service if it listed meaningful genes/variants and then told you whether or not you have them. Waste of money and the many months it took to get the results.

Extremely slow customer service
Extremely slow customer service. Do not buy this product if you already used nebula to upload any other data from 23&me, my ancestry, or my heritage. It just won't let you register a kit, so lost money... Customer service won't solve the problem. This company lives in the 20th century.

Deceptive regarding ancestry DNA
I paid for the "lifetime membership" over 1.5 years ago, which was supposed to come with Family Tree DNA analysis, and they keep pushing up the date for it over and over again saying "it's coming it's coming." Tired of the lies.
1 extra star because the site is cool, but that's not enough to make up for lies.
Btw: Nebula is also paying people to leave reviews on here.

Nebula Experience
Edit 14/Dec/22:
I got a really nice support from Matt, who helped me to address the tax collection problem - due to that, i changed my review to 5 stars. So far, no more issues from my side. As soon as I collect my DNA sample and get the results, I can update once again my review here.
Looking forward to receive Nebula's results =)

I'm writing this review for my initial experience with Nebula - i hope it will change soon, if so, i'll add a new score.
I bought a Deep Analysis kit for both my wife and myself, and our kit stopped in the customs clearance. They are charging us for some value but we bought the kit saying 'free shipping'. I tried to contact Nebula Genomics by email 3 times already and I still didn't receive any word from them.
I hope they won't let me down and pay the tax collection for both of our kits.
