Poor customer service, product doesn’t live up to price

Product was part of kitchen refurbishment package installed 4 years ago. Microwave clock/timer number display developed glitch. Four bright light lines, one each on left top of each digit space. This was in addition to existing number lights making it difficult, not impossible, to read display properly. Called customer service to see if I could fix issue like using sequence of buttons, or such and find out if issue would it affect usage before making call out appointment. CS rep was adamant that he nor anyone else there could answer any questions via phon, and only thing he could do was make call out appointments for a fee, even after I asked for call back from technician. I do not have that kind of disposable money (£110+parts) so decided to put up with issue. This kind of inflexible customer service is not acceptable as is the product function issue after only 4 years. I’ve had much less expensive microwaves that lasted 10 years with no issues. As it happens, the extraneous lights disappeared a few days ago and I have no idea why!

Worst oven we’ve ever had!

We purchased a Neff oven at nearly £700 as it is supposed to be the best oven on the market and all we’ve had is issues. The oven has had fault after fault and being in construction where kitchens is apart of our projects, a base range £300 oven is far more efficient and less problematic than Neff.
The cooking is supposed to be a surround heat, it isn’t. The heating element went after 6 months and was an absolute nightmare to get the oven repaired under warranty.
The lights constantly blow and the grill is absolutely rubbish, it pumps out heat for 3 or 4 minutes then cuts off for the same amount of time.
Avoid this company you’ll you have is issues!

Recent purchase if NEFF Oven has not…

Recent purchase if NEFF Oven has not met with my expectations. Despite all the whistles and bells, it's very confusing. The instructions may as well be in Klingon. More thought's gone into the shelving making it a faff. Doesn't cook evenly on cakes. Grill is ridiculous as half of it isn't over the food.
As for the timer. If you happen to be out of the kitchen when it goes off, you've missed it, unless you the have hearing of a bat as its too quiet.
So there we have it. Would I recommend NEFF ovens, no, not if they are all like this. Perhaps I'm too set in my ways. But I miss my old Creda..... 😭

Fantastic washer to rubbish dishwasher

Back in 2013 we bought a Neff washing machine. Apart from having to change the heating element it’s worked perfectly for 12 years. Three years ago we bought a Neff dishwasher and it’s always been really bad. After a couple of washes it smells like wet dog we get brown marks on a cutlery and plates. We rinsed it through with bleach numerous times and we even spent £1500 on a water softening kit for the house to see if that would change it. Nothing works.
It got to the point where we’ve decided to change it so we’ve bought a Beko inefficient grade E rated appliance because rated E means it will use more water and more electricity. I don’t think the Neff one is programmed correctly as it is a grade A but doesn’t work properly.
Last week before we install the Beko one I decided to try and figure out what was wrong with it. I disconnected all the pipes and everything was spotlessly clean and then start flushing boiling water through the sump and deduced that this is what the problem is. It’s basically washing your dishes in the dirty water from the previous wash. If you fill the dishwasher then put boiling water into the sump with a bit of fairy liquid then set going then no doggy smell. We’ve now done 12 washes without having to use bleach and there is no smell anymore.
The problem is clearly inefficient programming of the appliance. You can’t put a kettle full of boiling water into the machine every time you need to use it. That’s just stupid.
We’re going to decommission it and put it up in the attic then install the Beko machine.
I really wish I could reprogram this Neff dishwasher because I think it would be okay with a proper program of cleaning in it. But obviously I can’t do that.
I did send an email to Neff about two years ago to their technical department, but nobody ever responded.

As part of a kitchen refurbishment in…

As part of a kitchen refurbishment in mid January 2025 I had a Neff fridge freezer installed. On the 13th July 2025 it stopped working. On the 16th July an engineer attended and said it needs replacing, he said two things would happen 1) I would get a link to a review 2) someone would confirm delivery date for the new appliance, 24 hours later neither of these had happened so I called customer services, they told me an email had been sent about an hour earlier, which had not been received they then realised they had a mistake in my email address - they would have got a failed delivery message in that case and should have contacted me, they didn’t. When I did receive the email it said the appliance was out of stock with no information whatsoever on when they expect delivery. They said my kitchen company could supply one if they could, and get reimbursed. When I asked who would pay delivery, installation and disposal costs, they said they would up to £150 + VAT. My borough charges nearly £100 just for the disposal of a fridge freezer. So I have given 1 star because the whole replacement costs should be covered for an appliance that has only lasted six months.

Underhand practices by customer service

Feel completely ripped off by Neff customer services. Do NOT fall into the trap of booking a repair if you have an old appliance as you’ll pay £119 for a call out in which the engineer tells you within 5 seconds of being in your home that the part is obsolete and then you’re bombarded with a sales pitch to buy a new appliance with a £50 voucher that has to be used within 28 days. Why didn’t customer services know that the part was obsolete? Clearly they do and this is a ruse to get you to waste your time and money. Very underhand practice.

I spent over €1,000 on a Neff oven, expecting excellence, but what I received was shocking. The user manual is a disgrace—cheap photocopies, poorly laid out, and practically useless. As a result, I barely use my oven because I don’t understand how to operate its functions.

Neff markets itself as a premium brand, but this falls far below even basic standards. Even budget appliances come with proper manuals. This is completely unacceptable for such an expensive product.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Terrible products, terrible customer service. Had all Neff appliances supplied with our new built house, had nothing bud problems with all of them. Had 4 visits for our oven, replacing multiple broken heater elements each time, all in first 12months. The minute it passed the 12th month mark, they refused any responsibility for it. Unfortunately as I didn’t buy the products directly, I wasn’t covered under Uk consumer law annd so they got away with it.
Oh and the microwaves rust to pieces as they’re not made of stainless steel. Honestly, a microwave that is not resistant to humidity.. Appalling company.

scam special offer

Bought a Neff oven in November and sent off for the 'free special offer' via Neff treats (telescopic rails for the oven). I received the following message @we have reviewed your claim but it is currently on hold at this time as the submitted claim is missing a full ENR number.' I immediately submitted this number along with copious photographs on the 18th November. I heard nothing and decided to chase this up. I received a further email asking for further proof which I once again supplied and subsequently I have heard nothing back from Neff - bit of a scam if you ask me. Disappointing to play customers like this.

Bought Neff Slide & Hide oven Nov 2022

Bought Neff Slide & Hide oven Nov 2022. All okay until inside of glass door needed cleaning. Very difficult to remove, basically held by a plastic lug either side which slots into a plastic holder, the sliding tension bar puts undue stress on the plastic coupling and is a very bad design fault. Door literally came off in my hand shortly after. Lug on one side replaced with new springs. March 2024 and the lug on the other side is now broken. All repairs at my cost. Neff do not admit to a problem. Door cannot be replaced by a conventional door. DO NOT BUY.

Steer clear of their ovens with sliding…

Steer clear of their ovens with sliding doors. Bad design! rather than a glass sealed unit you have to take the door off and a couple of glass panels to clear in between the glass as liquid and dirt gets through. Only had my cooker a couple of months and having to clean in between the glass! this whole process is extremely difficult and time consuming. I have looked at the instructions several times and it’s a lot to do, using screw drivers etc! I do not know where to start! What happens if I drop it or do it wrong, could be a disaster.

NEFF ovens with sliding doors

Stay away from NEFF ovens with sliding doors. The door is extremely unreliable and prone to break-downs. We just ended up spending 400 pounds to repair the door. The engineer that helped us admitted that faulty doors are extremely common with NEFF.

Neff cock up

I ordered a grill for Nef oven model 00771772. This was ordered 26/9/23. My order was takn by Nigel. An e-mail was then sent by Neff to confirm the order. The address was incorrect. I had sent e-mail to Neff thre times pointing out the corect address. Since I never heard from Neff over two weeks later I phoned customer service and spke to Nigel again. He told me that the order had been sent to decadent antiques and sent there ten das ago. This was news to me as I was under the impression it would be deliverd to our home address. Nigel then told me that I should phone UPS delivery company and gave me the time that the grill had been delivered. Time of delivery was 2:18pm 18th Oct. This was a half hour before I went to collect it but the owner had no knowledge of the package. I cannot believe that as a customer we are exspected to jump through hoops when things go wrong.

Great Products, difficult to navigate

We love our NEFF fridge frezzer, cooker and hob, but, we struggle to set the cooling down fan on the oven,

After cooking two jacket potatoes, the fan remains on for as long as it takes to bake the jackets.

The factory setting is on maximum and according to the tech manual you can change to a short fan cool down.

After several tries and emails to tech support, I've given up as the outcome each time is to impose the child lock and make no difference to the cool down time.

The only way we can overcome this is to turn to cooker off at the mains, this means the clock is wrong each time, but, it is better than having a noisy fan on for long periods and wasting electricity!

Has anyone had this happen to them or is is just me?

The unit is ony 15 months old.

Any help willingly accepted.
