I understand why some customers are frustrated; I don't intend to diminish their experience. My high review is based on my experience (I'm not part of the kickstarter campaign group) with both customer support and the items I've purchased.

I'm also sympathetic with the folks at Negative Supply: I think they are struggling to get their business feet under them. I WANT them to survive, don't you?! They serve a niche we need filled! I understand their communication leaves MUCH to be desired –particularly regarding the kickstarter LM campaign– but I've seen this happen before with overwhelmed small businesses, and I don't classify this as fraud: personnel issues, perhaps poor planning, and avoidance, but not fraud.

I'm happy with my system (Enthusiasts Complete Kit: 35mm-4x5). If you're concerned, purchase from an authorized dealer. I purchased from Glazer's in Seattle, and additional components online from another authorized dealer.

Nothing but lies with this company. Even their personnel will attack you when claiming for an wrongfully executed order. Stay away from them. Nothing but some halfway decent marketing and very low quality products. Stay away and go to some smaller brands that actually care about you and the product.

Negative Supply launched a Kickstarter project for their LM1 Light Meter. In their campaign, they mentioned that the displayed photos are of prototypes and very close to pre-production units, and promised to deliver the product by Nov 2021 to Feb 2022. 3 years later, they still haven't finished the project, even Beta units are not out for testing, they have nearly cut all communication with their backers, not even bothering with posting monthly updates, and not responding to backers' comments and concerns. This was clearly a scam and NS will never have my business again.

Wrote a review after several attempts to contact them but absolutely no response. Obviously not every customer matters! Given their turnover I expected some response but not even an acknowledgement! Pathetic!

Deception all around

Don't shop with them. They have strict no-return policies and WILL not compromise if there is a mistake. They are unresponsive, do not care about their customer, and will not honor their side of an agreement.

Avoid them at all costs!

I understand that this is a small company with limited resources and that orders can take a while to fill.

What is not excusable is attempting to mislead customers into thinking they've fulfilled the order while not actually shipping it out. Their primary goal is getting your money. Actually completing their side of the transaction appears to be an afterthought. Don't count on them to hold up their end of the agreement.

Can't really recommend negative supply.
The "99 CRI 4X5 LIGHT SOURCE BASIC" has quite some flaws:

> the plate wobbles when placed on flat surface.
> the internal aren’t sealed on one side, so I can’t clean the glas plate, without risking to short-circuiting it
> when pushing a Scan in Lightroom too strong, you can see unevenness of Illumination.

For the price of $300 + Tax + Shipping is this inacceptable
