They are incompetent in assisting you. Multiple interactions in regards to obtaining a refund for a duplicate payment obviously they want to use the money for investments.

Hi David, thank you for the review. Duplicate payments are placed on a 14-day hold to ensure no stop payments as a protection to you. This is to avoid both payments being void (for example, for any potential disputes that may be initiated), which could result in your policy being canceled for nonpayment. Rest assured that your refund was being processed at that time, but took longer than expected due to the dispute filed with American Express. Our customer success team can handle all questions, including accounting and payment-related inquiries.
