Great boutique agency

After five years with Net Lettings, I can confidently say they’re consistent and dependable. Any time an issue has come up, they’ve handled it efficiently. Since Jorge joined, things have only improved—he’s approachable, knowledgeable, and proactive. The team’s experience really shows, and they’re great at helping both landlords and tenants make informed decisions.

Do not use this agency

This lettings agent will do everything they can to ensure the landlord is financially benefiting whilst the tenants are left with nothing. Do not use this company, avoid at all costs. The London rental market is at it's worst for tenants and this company will keep it this way.

Agents do not return your deposit

Agents do not return your deposit

We are still yet to receive any communications after leaving the property for a month now. Everytime you call their office the people you need to get in touch with were always busy/out of office/with other clients which has been proven as a lie as calling multiple people they all gave different reasons.

I would recommend to avoid this agency as throughout our tenancy they have ignored requests and do not attend to matters for repairs and compensations within reason

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If I could give Net Lettings a negative star review, I would.

I have never felt so compelled to write a review on Google in my entire life, but today is the day. Renting from such a company has been one of the most infuriating and soul crushing experiences of my entire life. I have never witnessed such a lack of professionalism in what is meant to be an "award winning letting agents".

We rented a property from them for two and a half years, and desperately had to leave after we reached our boiling point. Not only did they falsely advertise our property as "secure" (we were broken into and the CCTV cameras were all conveniently broken), they also would take an average time of 2 months to resolve any maintenance issue we raised.

For example, we had a broken fridge and were left for an entire month with no replacement OR no temporary resolution, and this was during the unseasonable heat we had last summer. Particularly, Zainab Ahmed was extremely unresponsive and would provide us we bogus excuses as to why things weren't being resolved in a prompt manner.

We also had leaking pipes on numerous occasions which posed a flood risk due to our sink overflowing, that no one sent a plumber to look despite us having complained time and time again. And low and behold, after trying to blame us for the blockage, it turned out to be a structural issue that was caused by how the pipes were built in the first place :)))).

And finally, the cherry on top of the cake, we vacated the property in NOVEMBER 2023, and we still are yet to receive our deposit yet. Not only that, Net Lettings failed to protect our deposit in the third term so now we are having to go to court to retrieve it as opposed to using the dispute resolution service from the deposit protection scheme. I have reached out to their director Jag Sandhu repeatedly, and he hasn't shown the decency to respond to an email that is threatening legal action.

After years of contract violations, being ignored and extremely difficult living conditions considering the amount of money spent, its safe to say my time living at a property rented by Net Lettings has been one of the worst periods of my adult life.

If you have any common sense, after reading this many negative reviews, I would avoid renting with Net Lettings at all costs.

Avoid at all costs

I cannot express enough the level of my disappointment. Today is 5 weeks since I have moved out of the property and requested my deposit to be credited back to me. The unresponsiveness of the agency is appalling after trying to deduct money for professional cleaning (even though I have arranged for the professional cleaning before moving out and left the property spotless). 0 stars! This has been the worst renting experience in London in 14 years, avoid at all costs.

Flat

Flat location: 36-40 Copperfield Street, E3 2RR

My wife and I got in touch with Harry from Net Lettings have seen a listing on Rightmove in Mile End. For reasons that will be made clear, the listing was also reported.

Minor point is that the listing did not make clear the property was still being done up and what we were being shown was an equivalent, but okay at least we were told that in advance in coming.

I also made clear that we have a pet cat, and Harry assured me on the phone this was fine, not a problem with the landlord.

I get there early to view the area and to his credit Harry does come earlier when I let him know. The landlord is on site supervising works (he does lettings in this building, another thing that was just casually mentioned). My wife joins the viewings virtually.

Having seen the flat under construction and an example flat, we make clear we are keen to Harry and landlord. We mention our cat, immediately the landlord says no.

He does not want the hassle of dealing with pets he explains, and if one is allowed a pet all the tenants will complain. Both my wife and I explain that unreasonable refusal of a pet is illegal, but does he not care. He just looks sheepish and Harry looks uncomfortable.

Harry tried to claim there was miscommunication, but I did remind him of me bringing this up and he did accept the point. We are irritated to no end. Waste of time.

We have not even received an apology, just a platitude that we would have made good tenants. Great, and because of this, we are now under more pressure.

This viewing was also meant to take place on Monday 15th and having been agreed a few days before, only for Harry to turnaround and say he did not have access.

This is frankly unacceptable. If I could give half a star, I would but sadly I need to give at least one.

Use caution with this agency. If Net Lettings wish to make to right some wrongs, they know how to contact me

Appalling

Appalling service. We are still awaiting deposit return nine weeks after vacating our property. No information was communicated to us regarding this for over six weeks, after which point significant deductions were proposed which seem unreasonable as read against the inventory report. Despite a significant part of the deposit being uncontested, NetLettings have not returned this money to us after multiple requests. It is unclear whether NetLettings are willing to engage with the deposit protection scheme or whether we will need to recover the deposit via small claims court. Exasperating experience all round.

Very sporadic and poor communication in dealing with this issue, which is consistent with the experience during the tenancy in which several requests for repair were ignored and not addressed. Hard to think of a worse experience with property management in my 10 years of living in London. Would recommend avoiding their service as far as possible.

Switched to Net Letting mid contract…

Switched to Net Letting mid contract from a poor agent. Net Letting and in particular Jake, have been excellent in making the change easy and taking on the stress for me with the tenant. Very impressed

Poor Communication.

Very poor communication. You send them an email and they don't respond.
If you find a flat you like check if the flat is being advertised by other estate agencies!
