HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE — DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
We hired NEW LONDON HOME IMPROVEMENT LLC for our asphalt driveway, and we completely regret it. The owner of the company promised us proper preparation and grading at no additional cost, but that is NOT what we received.
They left approximately 50 tons of dirt on our property, which we had to pay to remove ourselves. Then, after telling us grading was included, the owner demanded an additional $4,500 for grading.
Even worse, we were extremely unhappy with the base preparation. We expected 6–8 inches of properly compacted stone, but what was put down appeared to be dirt mixed with rocks. When we confronted the owner of company about our concerns, he told us the asphalt would have NO WARRANTY because it could crack without additional grading.
We stopped the project before they could install the asphalt and requested part of our money back so we could have the preparation work corrected. So far, we got no reimbursement.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Based on our experience, the promises made before the job started did not match the work we received. We were left with additional expenses, unfinished work, and a huge mess to deal with. Save your money, time, and frustration and find another asphalt company.
