DO NOT USE EVEN IF YOU’RE DESPERATE

DO NOT USE. Do not use this company even if you’re absolutely desperate. Total horrendous experience, they come unprepared, lie about experience, the proprietor Andy Newton has taken the family business on but is completely out of his depth. He abuses his staff and lies to them about the cost of jobs he’s managed to deceive people into. Items were broken, property was damaged and we were held to ransom until we paid a premium to have our possessions delivered. All in all, the worst experience we’ve ever had with moving. At one point we had to call the police.

Cowboys -would not give a VAT receipt…

Cowboys -would not give a VAT receipt when ask. The removal vehicles shown in advert are obsolete he users hire vehicles. Not professional at all.i had missing expensive items left on the hire vehicle that he declared was delivered. WAtCH him carefully. Do not use this company.

Dodgy outfit

I used their removals and packing service at the end of last year. Their sales pitch was that they help make a stressful experience less of one. The packers came one day and then the removals team the next. First of all, they left everything that they were supposed to take in the garden. It took days of chasing for them to pick up the trampoline and then they brought a load of rubbish with it and left the plants, which I had to fetch myself in the end. They promised to reassemble the beds, again, days later and with loads of hassle, ONE bed was reassembled, the other I had to do myself.

Boxes were not correctly marked and I (a small female) had to shift boxes to the correct rooms.

When I unpacked, my induction hob was smashed to pieces, plants had been loosely packed and died, a lamp was cracked, the bed had massive chips out of it. On closer inspection the bed they reassembled had been done incorrectly resulting in further damage to the bed. The mattress had a puncture mark, and there were six handles missing from my chest of drawers.

I emailed the owner, who emailed back saying his lads knew nothing about this damage and the insurance company wouldn't pay because it had taken me two days to report. Two days! I had just moved house, there were still boxes everywhere, I have a small child and they expect me to unpack within two days!

I sent them a recorded delivery letter detailing the damage with pictures and they ignored it. I got landed with dead plants, a broken bed, I had to replace my oven hob at my own cost (not cheap) and the lamp and drawer handles.

Avoid these shysters, don't be impressed by their sales pitch and, as I found to my own cost, their guarantees are worthless.
