It cannot record anything at night. Once streetlights are turned off, the camera sees absolute black, even in bright moonlight. Hopeless for night time protection from vandalism or hit and run drivers. By comparison, my Ring doorbell sees fine in same light level. My old 2023 cheaper Nextbase dashcam was better, although still not usefully clear. Live view clarity is so poor, I cannot read a car number plate two metres in front of the camera in daylight. I can read it when I playback recordings from cloud. I do not understand why this cameravcan see nothingnat night! My Ring cameras have the option to switch off their infrared lights if viewing through glass, which reduces definition but still sees in the dark. Seems Nextbase design their cameras for city areas that are constantly well lit, not suburbia or rural streets. Shame, as I like the ability to connect instantly. It worked perfectly using 4G, even when car was parked about 300 metres away from my home. However, after I connected the device wirelessly to my internet, it is slow to load, sometimes freezing. I can't seem to revert to it just using 4G.
