How do I rate a product that does what it is supposed to do, but makes another product do what I did not want it to do? I will rate this product, because that is what I am rating right now. So, this kit does exactly what it is supposed to do: it provides an easy and convenient plug-n-play option for those who have an OBD port in their car. Installation was super easy. The other thing it also does AND is supposed to do, is that it provides a constant power source to your dash cam. This is where trouble starts. I have a 422GW, and with a constant power source you also have to have Parking Mode on, of course. The problem is that the Parking Mode is really sensitive. Ridiculously sensitive. Unlocked the doors? Start recording. A tram went by 30 meters away? Start recording. Somebody walked by and talked loudly? Start recording. A gust of wind hit the car? Start recording. I had a lunch break for 50 minutes, and the Parking Mode decided that 47 minutes of it should be recorded. So, this OBD Hardwire Kit effectively turns your dash cam into a 24/7 surveillance camera.

Sadly it did not work on my car, think it's too old, might be changing it next year so will keep it anyway, great idea though.

Due to the position of the OBD port on a 2022 Corsa, it is difficult to securely fit the angled plug on the kit. However, once it is installed, power is continuous and the camera functions perfectly

Easy to install and frees up the 12v socket in car. Prevents having to remember to plug in dash cam each time. Highly recommend

The cable is OK for what it is however the cable length either side of the battery protector are wrong. The OBD connector needs to be beside the steering wheel so why provide a couple of meters of cable that needs to be hidden, better to make the power side for the camera longer because whilst if fits, it only just fits on my car.

Makes installing the power to a dash cam so much easier. You get power for both driving and parking modes all in one simple plug connector. Brilliant idea.

Very good piece of kit. Easier to fit than hardwiring into the fuse box.

Initially, couldn't connect, no power. Asked my garage mechanic to check obd power supply etc. I hadn't pushed the obd plug firmly enough into the obd socket. Needs a good force. Working well now.

The OBD wiring kit is much better than having to mess around finding a fuse to connect to,You simply plug it in and route the wiring to the camera as simple as that. Would really recommend it

Every time the engine goes into the ECO start stop mode the camera shuts off and has to be manually restarted very annoying other than this it works fine

Bought this to save using car socket but not using it yet as too many different answers to my question ie Have a mild hybrid Suzuki Vitara Ultra that does not have alternator to quickly recharge battery while NOT being driven ,as it needs to be actually driven to charge lithium battery which in turn charges the 12 Volt battery ,and as I do not drive my car regularly and set cam up for standby mode it must be using even a small amount of battery drain over few weeks? Some say online the safety cut off to stop this will stop this happening while others say it might fail and leave me stranded in our rural area! Really need a complete detailed forum included in this kits box about this until then I am watching online to be convinced and then I will use it !
