The Nextbase Rear-View Camera is designed with a narrower, telephoto lens, to record the view of the road directly behind your vehicle. The view recorded is similar to the image seen in your rear-view mirror. It uses a 30° telephoto lens to look back through the vehicle, capturing details of the road behind, making sure you are guarded against tailgaters and rear end impacts. The Rear-View Camera can easily be installed by clicking it into the side of your front facing Nextbase Dash Cam model. Compatible with: 322GW 422GW 522GW 622GW (Will NOT work with Piqo) Resolution When you are using a rear-view camera module the resolution of your front camera will automatically adjust to manage the two high resolution video files. The options for these settings are: 622GW Front 4K, Rear 1080p 422/522GW Front 1080p, Rear 1080p OR Front 1440p, Rear 720p 322GW Front 1080p, Rear 720p Module connectivity Connects directly to your Dash Cam and records the rear view of your journey through your car. I bought this camera because I didn't have the patience to run the wiring from the front to the back of the car. This camera does its job quite well and is of good quality.

Easy installation, adjustment for a clear rear view was necessary, I still need to see the results following extended travels.

Be careful about buying from this company...zero support. I've been wanting to return the item for three weeks and no one has helped me. Shame on you. For Italy, I'm warning you not to buy from this company; they have no support...be careful. I received the item not working and I can't return it, luckily I paid with PayPal which will take care of it now... never again. completely white image

limited rear view, but sufficient to save rewiring my car to the rear window/ unfortunately, when my 422GW stops working due to the early summer heatwaves in Southern France, then by default the Rear View Camera stops working also. Hence my poor review.

I ordered the Rear View Camera to match the Nextbase Dashcam 522GW. I decided on this model because I didn't want to attach a camera to the rear window or run a cable to the back. Installation is extremely simple and the quality of the videos through the rear window is more than adequate. The Rear View Camera from Nextbase is therefore the ideal addition if you want to film to the rear as well.
