Shady Practices
My issue with this service is that the renewal is annual, but they do not send any notice about an upcoming charge nor do they email to tell you that you've been charged. This makes it a very easy thing to forget about until you come across the charge on your bank statement. I contacted them to request a refund, but I was told that these details are in their terms of service and they do not offer refunds for subscriptions whatsoever. Not even if you cancel 1 day into your 12 month subscription.
Otherwise, this service is basically a glorified email low-price notification. Customer service is responsive, but ultimately unhelpful.

We include in all our signup information and materials that we are an annual subscription service, so we charge $25 USD per year after the 30-day free trial ends. With the first membership charge, members can also take advantage of a 6-month money-back guarantee if they're not satisfied with our service or cannot take advantage of the deals.
Because it is an annual subscription rate of just $25 USD, we don't offer prorated refunds at this time, but members can cancel their subscription or turn off the auto-renewal feature at any time. While you state that we don’t let you cancel even 1 day into a 12 month subscription that is not the case. The reason for your ineligibility was that your account was 46 days past the renewal date. We apologize if this was previously unclear, but this is why your renewal charge was outside of the eligible refund period. We can confirm that you will not be charged further.
We're sorry again if our service wasn't all that you expected. Our focus is taking the burden from our members and finding amazing deals we can send directly to their inboxes so all our members have to do is take advantage of the great deals when we send them out. Likewise, our support team is at the ready to provide quick and helpful information whenever possible for all our members. Nonetheless, we're dedicated to continuously improving our service based on customer feedback and we'll continue to do so in the future. I bought this deal from PHX to San Juan, Puerto Rico for only $100 roundtrip and we get to go in eight months! OMG! I've been so sad, and now I have something to look forward to! I bought a ticket for my mama, too! I paid for flight insurance, so with taxes and fees and EVERYTHING, I spent less than $250 for two tickets! VACATION, HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the best deals
They do send flight updates, but they are not usually the best price available. I have found much better travel deals and I dont get anything comparable. They have never once sent me a killer deal to anywhere.

It's a scam, don't fall for it. These guys don't provide information and then during cancellation also they tell you to contact later on. They disconnect your phone calls too.

I waited for a long time to get a good deal with no destination in mind, but I received a deal for tickets from Philly to Denver for $90 pp nonstop round trip! We don’t need much and this was such a steal we booked immediately. So excited!

Terrible customer service
I really didn't mind trying out this service for a year, but I never once used their "deals" and tired of the emails. I didn't cancel because I figured it would go away on its own after my year was up. Nope. Somewhere in the fine legalese print of their ridiculous terms and conditions, it tells you they're going to charge you every year.
Instead of refunding the charge, they instead called it "standard practice" and compared their sketchy business practices to Amazon and Netflix, both of which are charged monthly and both of which refund at least a prorated charge when you cancel.
I have a business that employs an annual auto-renew, but I email customers at least 5 times well in advance of running the renewal with clear instructions how to opt out and I ALWAYS refund any customer who wants out. It's just good customer service, and you won't find that here.
P.S. The company says they make this recurring charge and ways to opt out clear in their welcome email, but that's also not true. I'm sure they can legally say this is clear, but this this the only reference to it in the welcome email: "Yup, you read “a year” right. I mention this because a lot of members get confused and think it’s $25/month — which is not the case. It’s $25 for an entire year of amazing flight deals to destinations you dream of! Our annual subscription will show up on your statement as "NextVacay.com travel deals."
Also, I've now received 2 fairly lengthy emails and the response to this review defending their unwillingness to refund my $25. It surely would have been cheaper to refund my $25, and then there wouldn't be all this negative press out here.

Our membership is annual, so it renews annually, and we try to make this as clear as possible, so it's not hidden in legalese. We include the fact that our membership is annual in the FAQs on our website, on the checkout where members sign up, in our Terms of Service, and in the welcome email sent immediately after signup. Members are free to opt-out of our service at any time, and can login to their account through the link available on our website or through the link we provide in every deal email we send. From the account page, members can cancel or opt-out of the auto-renew feature, so they're not charged further.
Because we're a deal service that links you to book directly with the airline, we're not aware from our end of which deals our members book unless they reach out. If members are unable to book the deals for any reason, we want to know of that too, and we also offer a 6-month money-back guarantee for the first membership charge, so members can request a refund if they're unable to utilize our service. We did not receive any complaints or requests for a refund until the charges in question were outside of any refund period.
