Every operator we cover, whether a US state-regulated brand or an offshore crypto casino, receives a single 0 to 100 Compliance Score built entirely from data the operator cannot pay for, edit, or remove: moderated reports from players who actually withdrew funds, complaint and enforcement history, domain and hosting intelligence, sanctions and jurisdiction screening, and licence verification against official registries. The score is computed by a fixed algorithm, not assigned by a person. The same formula runs against every operator, so two casinos with the same underlying record always land at the same score. The weighting behind that formula, five pillars with published point values, was designed by Otto Bergström, who has spent 18 years auditing iGaming operators, and is documented in full on our how-we-score page. Every score is sealed to a public, hash-verified audit ledger, so the calculation can be checked independently rather than taken on faith. Niekie earns affiliate commission on some casino links and discloses this on every page. That commission is never an input to the score: operators with no commercial relationship to Niekie are scored on the identical basis as those with one. Beyond scoring, Niekie runs free member tools (bonus-term analysis, a payout tax calculator, casino comparison), a browser extension that surfaces a casino's safety report on hover, and a blog covering what our data finds as it's found.
