I bought a pair of Nike shoes from Nike…
I bought a pair of Nike shoes from Nike Fashion Store in BIG Herlev that turned out to be defective. I no longer have the receipt, but I do have clear proof of purchase from my bank statement, including the transaction date (April 9) and the store name.
Despite being able to document the purchase, I was refused help with my complaint. The staff would not accept my bank statement as proof of purchase and declined to assist further, even though the transaction can be clearly verified in their system.
Under Danish consumer rules, a receipt is not the only valid proof of purchase, and a bank statement can normally be used to document a purchase when making a complaint about a defective product.
I am disappointed with how the case was handled and the lack of willingness to find a solution despite clear evidence of purchase and a faulty product.
