UNETHICAL SALON-1 star because my hair is ok. I booked this salon after over bleaching my hair and needed low lights and a base color to correct it. Price said when I booked for a "color correction" which was priced at starting 103. I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. Jen started 50 minutes after my appointment time, while finishing with another customer. We decided on a plan. We decided on low lights, base toner and pull toner through. I asked her how much it would cost because I saw another review saying they advertise one price and then charge another. She told me clearly"I’m not going crazy, 125-150". I agreed to proceed. Jen was very unprofessional, dropping F bombs and over-shared stressful details of her life, and disclosed they hire “dipshits’ right out of school so they "put her with me." She does my hair, does a 5-minute trim, and I told her not to bother blow drying it because it was almost 8pm. Decided to buy a product so the stylist could make commission due to skipping the blow-dry to be nice. I go to checkout and the OWNER, Kym, asks for the credit card, and added up the charges, and told me it would be 394. I was floored, and explained what happened. I know what I heard. If I had heard over 200, I would have not gone through with the service EVEN if I knew it was going to cost 250 tops. I asked the owner if she had any moral issues charging me that amount. She said, “No, they used a lot of product on your hair, and it's almost 8 pm." (Not MY fault because they started 50 min late!! ) The stylist chimed in and said the mistake was her fault. Jen stated "I told the new girl to mix me more color, don't charge her for the trim.” Then claims she told me it would cost "200-250". I told them to keep the $29 product. At that point, I had my husband come in and talk to them because I was too angry to talk. He told them that 200 would be fair, and the owner said she had already charged us and "couldn’t reverse the charges.” This salon does the bait and switch. They are unethical, and the stylist basically called me a liar. They sized me up and took advantage of me. Charge was $374 at the end. Way more than I’ve paid at nice salons for a low light and a base color. AVOID this place unless you can afford hundreds more than quoted, and don’t care about patronizing a business with no ethics or morals. Worst, most stressful salon experience EVER.
