Disappointing Quality & Even More…

Disappointing Quality & Even More Disappointing Customer Service I really wanted to like this brand. I’ve been to Nepal and respect Nimsdai Purja’s achievements, which is why I chose this hoodie over established brands like Patagonia or Norrona.

To be fair: the look and feel of the product is great.

However, after less than four months of light use (maybe ~10 wears, no rough conditions), the fleece on the inner left sleeve started coming off. At this price point (~€200 + ~€85 customs to Germany), that’s simply not acceptable.

What’s more disappointing is how this was handled:

The response was generic and interchangeable (“after reviewing the photos… consistent with wear”)
No real engagement with the specific issue (no questions, no technical explanation)
No accountability taken, despite the very short usage period
No meaningful solution offered—only a standard 20% discount on a future purchase

Even after a “further review” with their production team, the outcome remained unchanged. This feels like a classic low-effort decline: close the case, avoid responsibility.

Also worth noting: the additional customs charges are significant and not very transparent upfront—something international customers should be aware of.

In short: great design, but questionable durability and weak customer support when it matters.

Unfortunately, this experience makes it hard to trust the brand again.

Very poor experience with Nimsdai Store.

1. During the ordering process, there was no clear information that the product would be shipped from the UK. Because of this, I was unexpectedly required to pay customs duties and import taxes, which should have been clearly disclosed before purchase.
2. The product was delivered to an incorrect address that I mistakenly provided myself. I immediately contacted customer support and was told that the parcel would be returned to the supplier and then re-shipped to the correct address within a couple of weeks. More than a month has passed, there has been no update, and customer support has stopped responding completely.

Terrible quality

I am a long time supporter of Nimdai but i am extremely disappointed with the quality of his clothing. When you pay £250 for a fleece it should not be coming apart after 1 year of VERY minimal use. I was told by customer services this is general wear and tear.

Terrible

Terrible! I purchased an exped fleece, which the seams ripped on almost instantly. I returned the fleece and was sent an email saying it had been received by nimsdai, but despite multiple emails I have sent to them asking for any information regarding a refund or a new fleece, I have been left with no response. Awful costumer service will not recommend to anyone!

AVOID

I returned a £225 jacket via Royal Mail, which is tracked 24 hours a day. The parcel was signed for, and a photo was taken as evidence. It has been over a week since I returned it, and I still haven't received a refund. I have emailed three times and haven't received a reply. Thankfully, I paid via PayPal, so they are trying to get my refund. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Huge import duties

Large import fees when shipping to Europe. I do not recommend ordering to Europe. I paid one amount at first, then they changed it and increased the amount.

Products great - returns woeful

Products great (exped fleece, baselayer) - CS/Returns woeful. You have to email them, wait for a return label (not the same day) then fill it in, then pay for postage (lucky I paid for tracked), then for the first order I ahd to email chase them, then waited 2 days for replies stating I wanted a refund. For the exped fleece (kept one size, sent the other back) they have it for tracked back to their possession for 4 days and have not even begun the refund process and have not responded to my last 2 emails.
