Outstanding India Journey with Anagh Routes
I have travelled alone in India several times before, but this time I wanted a guide because I was travelling with my almost 85-year-old mother and my sister, who were both visiting India for the first time, and I didn’t want to carry the full organizational burden myself. I was recommended Anagh Routes, and especially Nivedan, and it turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck.
Already during the planning stage I asked Nivedan to design the itinerary in a way that would not overwhelm my mother. He handled this perfectly. Our journey included the magnificent temples of Khajuraho, including the famous Kamasutra temples, tiger safaris in Panna National Park and Ranthambore National Park, as well as sightseeing in Delhi and, of course, the iconic highlights of Agra and Jaipur. As a wonderful grand finale, we also celebrated the Holi festival in Mandawa.
Nivedan also showed great sensitivity when choosing Mandawa as the place to experience Holi. As a small town, the celebrations were lively and colorful but not chaotic or overcrowded. This made it an ideal place for all of us — and especially for my mother — to safely enjoy and actively take part in this unique festival.
What we especially appreciated was that Nivedan constantly encouraged us to try a wide variety of Indian dishes and sweets. We also travelled several longer stretches by train — not in the most basic class, but also not in luxury — which allowed us to experience India among locals and made the journey feel much more authentic.
Finally, I would like to say that Nivedan himself is a truly wonderful and warm-hearted person. He takes great care of his guests, always enjoys a good conversation, and has a wonderful sense of humor. Travelling with him every day was a real pleasure.
The only unfortunate thing is that our journey with him lasted just two weeks — we would happily have travelled much longer.
