I had friends staying for the weekend who loved wine and knew a thing about them, where as I didn't know much at all! I needed help!
I visited Noble Grape last Friday to get advice and recommendations. The owner (sorry I don't know his name) asked several questions about what I needed and about who the wines were for and their preferences. At no time did I feel he rushed me. On his recommendations for both red and white, I purchased 8 bottles of wine. My visitors were wowed and loved the wines. Thank you so much for you valuable help. I will be back!

Richard has a great selection of Italian wine which is my preferred choice and is very helpful with advice. I would recommend him to anybody who enjoys good wine reasonably priced

Richard is certainly a Master of Wines with extensive knowledge of all the great wines and regions around the world.

There's a great range of wines available, all at reasonable prices, and there is a delivery option too.

It's always a pleasure to browse around Noble Grape and chat about the best wines to suit my taste and pocket.

All round an excellent wine shop in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan!

Shambolic delivery service with someone else’s wine arriving twice to us over several weeks in December and disappointing customer service after.

There are more people who have reached space than the number of people who have achieved dizzy heights of the rarified MW.

Mr. Ballantyne is one of them.

Accolades aside,what a down to earth,easy to talk to and Richard has always given his impartial opinion /advice for the bottle of wine.

Place an order and delivery of excitement is always as scheduled.

The recent bundle of joy was slightly damaged but the person ( delivery man) made us open the box, made sure that every bottle was in in perfect condition or else he would have taken it back !!

In these many years of being a customer, noble grape has never failed on promise.

It is allowed to be human sometimes but I am dealing with perfectionist.

I'm so grateful to the colleague who told me about The Noble Grape. I think Richard Ballantyne curates an exceptionally interesting range of wines, and I have gratefully benefitted from his knowledge about them and his enthusiasm for them. It's been a real boon to have access to an independent retailer of such expertise, and The Noble Grape's website is a valuable source of helpful information and also a stimulus to explore further. Being at the other end of the UK has been no impediment to speedy deliveries, all very carefully packaged. I look forward to next year's explorations and renewal of now-established favourites!

I can't recommend Noble Grape highly enough. They have a fantastic selection of wines and are always available for a friendly chat about all things wine as well as providing recommendations without being pushy. I've stumbled across a number of gems through their advice as well as trying a number of grape varieties and regions I would have otherwise avoided. Shipping is also great. Always delivered in a timely manner and well packaged. A gem of a shop worthy of a visit and an online order.

This company should be scoring a 5 based on products and price however let themselves down badly by very poor customer service. An order placed for next day delivery was not sent despite getting a confirmation email of dispatch 15 minutes after order placed. I was given a tracking number that did not work. Finally having stayed in all day for a delivery that did not come was left to chase up only to get told that order had not been dispatched. Got an apology but should have had a courtesy email to advise of delay. Sorry but just not good enough customer service in any circumstances.

An easy 5 stars for product, service and value. Owner Richard Ballantyne knows his stuff and offers tremendous personal service, even for the occasional buyer like me. NG's wine selection is out of the ordinary and the website catalogued for an enjoyable customer experience. Richard Ballantyne's detailed knowledge of the wines he sells, plus a lightning quick reliable delivery really set this business apart.

Great products and service. Delivery was fast and products arrived in good condition. Retailer was very pleasant to deal with, and was very accommodating when I wanted to change my delivery at short notice. Would definitely buy from again. Of course they are a wine merchant primarily, but I wish they had a larger selection of whiskies. Great range of Springbank products though, which is my favourite distillery.

Very helpful in tracking down a wine I couldn’t get hold of on this country. Will definitely use this firm again when I am looking for ideas or something special.

Excellent service, speedy delivery

Excellent service and great choice of fine wines.

I had to ask when the order was likely to be completed after nothing appeared to have happened after around a week.

I was then told that the item had been out of stock and regret was expressed, an apology issued for lack of communication and an additional bottle included with the order.

Finally, I received a text from the Courier advising of the delivery time ... after the consignment had arrived!

Hence my 3 star rating. The wine? Oh, very nice!

Placing my order was easy and my wine arrived promptly
