Mother's Day flowers never arrived
I ordered an orchid for Mother's Day and chose delivery on the Friday before. They hadn't arrived by 5pm so I emailed customer services but got no reply (they don't operate over the weekend, which I found surprising on what must be their busiest weekend of the year). When the orchid hadn't arrived by Sunday, I sent another email asking about a refund. Both emails received the same 'heartfelt' apology (literally the same email reply) and then I was told the flowers had been given to the delivery company in time and so it must have been a fault on their part. I was asked if I wanted a replacement, and because I really thought my mum would love that orchid, I agreed...only to be told that due to a problem with the farmer this time, they didn't have this particular orchid any more. So my mum didn't get the orchid - either on time or late - and I was left feeling like I'd been lied to (about the delivery company, the farmer, or both). I gave two stars because the refund was at least processed really quickly.

Delayed but successful delivery of orchids.
Unfortunately my initial order was delayed because some of the flowers I wanted were not available, but Nova Blooms kept me up to date with the situation. My delivery was actually delayed 3 times, but I was kept informed and even offered a full refund if I wanted to cancel the order. Fortunately the blooms were not required for a particular date and I was delighted when I was offered 5 extra orchid stems as a reward for my patience. The recipient of the flowers is delighted with them.
