DPD Handling of My NVIDIA Parcel: Card Left Without Ringing

My important parcel from NVIDIA was due to be delivered today by DPD in the UK. The DPD driver came to my door. I saw the driver arriving from the window and immediately walked towards the door. The driver was moving quickly and, without knocking or ringing the doorbell, left a “delivery failed / we couldn’t deliver” card and ran away.

I stayed at home and missed work today specifically to receive this parcel. Now I’m forced to do the same again tomorrow. I’m also leaving for a two-week holiday on Friday, and this parcel is very important to me, so this situation has been extremely stressful. The main problem is deliveries being marked as “attempted/failed” when no real attempt is made at the door. I believe a company like NVIDIA should work with a delivery process that doesn’t put loyal customers through this.

If NVIDIA takes this seriously, helps resolve the situation, and provides a clear response, I’m willing to update this review.

I have this device Nvidia Shield Pro …

I have this device Nvidia Shield Pro but I'm quite frustrated with it. Besides having a lot of bugs, it's slow sometimes and unresponsive, I have to restart it to be able to use it properly, and it's also quite expensive. It's not worth the price; there are other options on the market.

An account for your hardware which they want 2 factor for? Thats rich.

What the Hell, to get a driver for my Graphics Card I need to set up an account, verify my E-Mail, set up an authenticatior… These guys are a joke, I know they want you to have an account to get GeForce Now and I might be tempted to get it, but by making everyone’s life worse if they have one of their cards all to force you to be ready for another service. Well not going to get that service now and when its time for graphics card update the fact that it might be impossible to get a driver without sending DNA or some stuff to these people will factor in.

3 generations of failure to launch their product

3 generation of graphics cards that’s 6 years they had to prepare & still they screw it up. Not only is the founders edition on their website susceptible susceptible to bots but their production is non existent.

I sat there waiting for a founders edition it said see buying options & 1 refresh later it said out of stock less than 30 seconds from release. No human can checkout that fast only bots & after 6 years of the same issue what does Nvidia the trillion dollar company do? Invest into anti botting software? Nope nothing & why would they? After all scalpers make their products more valuable & increase demand.

Then there’s the entire launch which is a shambles …. Again you had 6 years from the 3090 to learn from your mistakes you advertised the RTX 5090 available 30th January 2PM and here we are 3 generations in & nothing is available why didn’t you start production before the 30th January so stores had surplus stock????

Nvidia is another bully, just like the rest!

Nvidia is another bully, just like the rest!
I bought the GPU RTX 3070ti FE in boxed unused condition from another person. Cost £750. Because at that time, buying a GPU was impossible. None were available online or in shops. It was in smoke today. I feel lucky not burnt the house down! I spoke to support today. They told me they wont cover it because I was not the original owner. I was given the invoice by the buyer. Because, I told them the truth!

If you are reputable as you are make it... You should be standing behind your product! And, You shouldn't be letting people down who is buying them!!!

False and misleading advertising

This company had a clickbait promotion on their GeForce Now homepage and despite my efforts, I haven't been able to claim it.

No end date or terms for the promotion were presented, which made me think they just decided to not offer the promotion that was on screen at the time I contacted them.

Additionally, after they realized the mistake they have done, their social media team stopped answering my messages and their website doesn't offer contact details or a complaint process.

oh where do I start

oh where do I start. The nvidia shield priced at around 179 pounds and is said by many to be the best out there, well im here to tell you that they are all iether they are on a backhander or they have absolutely no idea how it works, I have had one for over a year and all I get is its low on memory, so got hold of someone who told me to add more by usb and assign it to internal storage and all will be well, I did this with a 128usb and assigned it and about 5 mins later i got a low memory warning, I spoke to someone who said that that is not how the storage works, although you assign it as internal storage id doesnt get used the same as normal internal storage, so what is the bloody point of it then ???( well you might say you must be doing loads to make it do that all the time) well all im
doing is moving a couple of films from the shield to my cloud, which I can do on a rubbish 31 pound device that I bought off ebay with no problem. I thought that after a short time some bright spark at nvidia just might do an update to solve the problem, well they have not. The up shot is that would touch a shield with a 10 foot pole buy a rubbish device from ebay they are much better

I have purchased Nvidia Shield for a significant sum from Amazon . I think for the amount of money paid for this device the benefits are few and far between. I purchased it solely for organising my NAS files and it makes a decent job of this, but most modern TVs have the other functions that Shield possesses already. The settings function on Shield seams to be full of glitches.

Nvidia just pushed out an update to the 2019 Shield Pro that has ruined it

Nvidia have just ruined my expensive 2019 Shield TV Pro by pushing out a buggy update (Android 11). It has made the Shield operate far more slowly, it's now quite laggy, the voice search function using the remote no longer works, I can no longer use the app as a remote, it's caused issues with using USB HDDs to play media, apps such as Plex now randomly crash when they used to be stable, other apps no longer work and are now incompatible (even Nvidia's own GeFirce Now) and the AI upscaling won't always engage. Which idiot signed this update off?! Whatever you do, never, ever update your Shield. It's not worth itn
