Avoid this company

I have worn this brand of jeans for years, always the same size, which have been perfect. This latest pair were too big so returned them to NYDJ (sold through Martens) under their refund guarantee and returns policy on 6th January 2026. Despite providing proof of postage and tracking path as far as I could, they would neither answer my emails or refund my money. Thankfully PayPal have now resolved this in my favour. That's great - thank you PayPal - but I intend contacting Netherlands Trading Standards next to hopefully prevent future consumers suffering same fate.

These people use a size chart which does not conform to EU standards.

I re ordered a pair of trousers in the same size as my previous pair. Size 44 eu - a U.K. 16. Not my first order my any means. They sent me a 46 or an U.K. 18. Their return process was expensive and complex. They would not refund me as they claimed it was my error because, I quote, they use their own size chart. Their size chart does not confirm to EU standards. An astonishing reply. I have taken in the trousers but this was a very poor customer experience. The delivery experience was also hopeless.

waste of money

Size 2. Skinny cut. They fit well when purchased. Wore them one time. they became super baggy in the butt and knees within 2 hours. Maybe good for layering with leggings in the future. I'm not sure if I will wear them again. Felt like i was wearing a diaper. Worst jean purchase.

Not Your Daughter's Jeans; Not Anyone's Jeans!

I spotted these N.Y.D.J.s in my local boutique for the older lady; I was with my husband at the time and it was just before Christmas 2012. They were pricy at £140.00 but my other half encouraged me to try them on and said he would buy me a pair for Christmas if they suited me. He was happy because he would be relieved of the problem of choosing my gift and I was happy because I would never have treated myself to a garment priced so high.

I wore the jeans only for "best" when "smart, casual" was called for and never about the house. In eight months to the following August I probably wore them 10 times, certainly no more. They were possibly washed very gently and on 30 degrees about 4 times, if that. In about July I felt that they were becoming loose but knew I hadn't lost weight; then in August we took my granddaughter on holiday and when I was reviewing the snaps on the computer I saw how truly baggy the jeans were. My husband had already noticed but chosen not to upset me by pointing it out! I was going to alter them but the knees are particularly baggy so that option isn't open to me; nor can I take them back to the shop because of the time lapse. About £14 per wear is really, really poor value for money!
