Another stay with Oak Tree Cottages, staying at The Forge. The perfect, dog friendly accommodation for the two of us & Barney, our cocker spaniel. Lovely enclosed garden, really comfortable cottage, the welcome pack was substantial & very much appreciated by the three of us! Ideally located for dog walks along the beach, through the woods & for visiting places like, Cromer, Sea Palling & Happisburgh to name but a few. We will be back!😊

Wow!.. Simply where do I start with this place. In one word, The Forge at Oak Tree Cottages is simply 'Amazing'.

Who needs to holiday abroad when you have such luxury here in the UK.

The cottage itself is stunning and finished to the highest standard I have ever seen in any accommodation I have stayed in - and I've stayed in plenty both in the UK and abroad!

Literally every detail and amenity has been thought of with this property and the emphasis on your pet's enjoying their holiday as much as you is clearly evident by the effort the owners go to providing dog-friendly facilities, including a 'doggy welcome pack', a spacious fenced field to run around in outside and even a heated outdoor dog shower area! The cottage was immaculate and cleaned throughly, so much so you wouldn't even realise this was dog-friendly accommodation if you weren't coming with a pet.

The welcome pack we humans recieved was just as luxurious, with plenty of tasty treats to get us started - even catering for our Vegan preferences (which certainly isn't the case in most other places we've visited).

We visited during COVID19 and the owners had gone above and beyond to make sure the cottage was COVID secure and it was clear that the place had been cleaned top to bottom prior to our arrival and we felt completely reassured and safe during our stay.

The cottage itself is very secluded and relaxing, benefiting from it's own private garden space outside - the perfect place for taking in that fresh Norfolk air and we very much enjoyed making the most of the sunshine having breakfast outside :)

I literally cannot fault the cottage or the owners who clearly have their customers at heart in everything they do. We are so glad we got to enjoy The Forge before it inevitably becomes impossible to book as it's bound to prove a popular choice for local accommodation! We can't wait to come back and are already looking to book out next visit well in advance.

If you're looking for a romantic, relaxing couples retreat in Norfolk, either with (or without) a pet, then look no further than The Forge - it really won't disappoint.

The cottage was a marvellous find! It is beautifully furnished and has everything you would need for a stay. The garden is fully enclosed and safe for the dog, the showers are full strength and the welcome pack is second to none, both for us and the dog! We stayed with friends for a chilly weekend in November and had the best of times. The owners were incredibly committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible and are on hand should you need anything. the place is also spotless. We would thoroughly recommend Lighthouse Cottage.

Fresh country & sea air, peace & tranquility allied to luxury accommodation The area has enough variety to make your stay as relaxing or otherwise as you could wish. We returned home with batteries charged & were fully invigorated.
