The website is not helpful and nor is…

The website is not helpful and nor is it functional with a series of poorly tested sections that a user will get stuck at leaving you frustrated and wasting time. It generates an ID when you first log on then that ID is not accepted after you get stcuk, cannot proceed and then try again later. Waste of time. Whoever built this needs to be fired

What an abomination

I do not think I have ever seen a website so poorly built, especially one that is meant to provide e-services for a variety of Indian cards.
The user interface is absolutely terrible and makes things extremely complicated for even the most tech savvy user out there, it visibly hurts my eyes to see how bad it truly is.
The main page may seem rather harmless at first, however once you pay attention to the complicated menu on the left-hand side of the page, you will soon realise you are in for a nightmarish experience.
There is no simplicity and grouping of services whatsoever, for someone wanting to renew a OCI card, due to changing the photo, there is no clear indication as to which option to select.
The options are unnecessarily cluttered and not user-friendly whatsoever, so it is essentially a lottery in terms of figuring out which option you need to select.
Even once you figure out which option you need to select, your troubles do not end there, as the other screens on the website are much worse.
The number of times the validation for each of the data capture forms fails is just outstanding, it is almost impossible to successfully complete a form without something being incorrect.
The drop-down menus found on these forms are horrible because the labels do not always make perfect sense. E.g., when asked for nationality, the options in the drop-down menu are in reference to countries, so instead of seeing British/English, you end up seeing United Kingdom. It is bizarre, that creators of this website have no clue what a nationality is supposed to be.
Once you are able to miraculously complete your application, there is no guarantee that any further action will take place.
After I completed my application, I decided to see if I could check the status of my application on the ‘Status Enquiry’ option and low and behold the system was not able to find it. This meant that I had wasted several hours on my application for absolutely nothing.
