Do not use this company

Do not use this company. They prey on low income people. I purchased a bike for my son. A few weeks before the bike was his the issues began. 1st the bike was stolen twice in 1 week and we had to pay to get a person to get the bike back as well as for using the location on the GPS tracker. This was in excess of $500 finders fee they called it. Then they want you to pay for ongoing GPS or to pay $120 to have this removed as well as pay for other existing things that were part of the contract. Do NOT use this company find another one.

I visited Ocycle in Ultimo to ask basic pre-purchase questions about their e-bikes before committing to a rent-to-own plan. The experience raised serious concerns.
Staff immediately pushed me to sign up and enter personal/payment details before answering questions. When I asked standard, reasonable questions about component brands (motor, battery cells, brakes), the response was defensive and dismissive. I was told this information was “proprietary” and they refused to disclose it.
For an e-bike that is eventually owned by the customer, refusing to identify core components is not normal industry practice and makes it impossible to independently assess value, safety, long-term serviceability, or third-party repairs once ownership transfers.
I did not expect trade secrets, just transparency about major parts that affect reliability and maintenance. Instead, I was made to feel it was unreasonable to ask.
Potential customers should be aware that:
Component details are not disclosed, even when asked directly
Sales pressure comes before answering questions
Long-term servicing outside their ecosystem is unclear
This may suit riders who only care about short-term access, but anyone considering ownership should go in with eyes open.
