Disgraceful company, now seemingly trading under a new name as “The Granny Annexe Company” by ANX Builds.

We were severely let down throughout the entire process. Communication was poor from the outset, and our main contact at OffPod was consistently rude and, in our experience, dishonest. It often felt like the company was more focused on chasing payments than delivering on agreed stages of work, with repeated requests for money before milestones had been completed.

The workmanship itself was below standard, and the build has still not been signed off by building control. We were given multiple assurances that things were progressing as they should be, but these turned out to be untrue time and time again.

What’s most frustrating is that, despite taking significant sums of money from customers, the company has now ceased trading under OffPod and appears to have restarted under a new name. Amazingly they've just changed the name on Instagram. Meanwhile, outstanding issues remain unresolved, and communication has completely broken down, with calls and messages being ignored.

At the beginning, we were genuinely excited about creating something special. Unfortunately, that experience has been completely overshadowed by poor delivery, lack of accountability, and broken promises.

Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing and stressful experience, and I would strongly urge others to proceed with caution.

SCAMMERS. We were misled and suffered significant financial loss. A director was attentive and reassuring during the sales process but became uncontactable once we agreed to the works, which we believe coincided with the company entering financial difficulty. After this point, our main contact was rude, unreliable, and desperate. It appeared they were aware the company was heading towards liquidation but continued to ask us for money regardless.

Avoid these con artists. They took all of our money knowing full well they were about to go into liquidation. Poor workmanship, extension half finished and not signed off by building control. Constant lies from the directors who went from charming during the sales process to unbelievably rude and at least one of whom has previously had another company go into liquidation. Avoid and don’t make the same sad mistake we did.

Compleat cowboys! If you decide to go with these people, hold on to the last payment until everything is sorted or they will not sort the many problems YOU WILL INCURE! Thieves and scamers! We can't even get our extension singed off and will need to go to court on this!

This has been a nightmare from start to finish - avoid ! Constant problems with poor workmanship . Building inspector won’t sign this off and I have plastic where my flashings are supposed to be.

We had started a consultation process, but currently not able to progress due to cost pressures. I have requested the deposit of £1k to returned to me as per the agreement - over a month. No response.. I can only say I am disappointed at this v poor customer service and I has lost faith in this company now..

We used OffPOD for our house extension last year. We couldn’t be happier!

We recently got a message from Tea at OffPOD asking if we’d be happy to leave an honest review—and we’re more than happy to do so. OffPOD built a granny annexe for my elderly parents, and honestly, the result is outstanding. We’d looked at a few different companies, but OffPOD stood out as the only one that really offered a proper turnkey service. We had a large outbuilding that needed demolishing before any work could start, and they just handled the whole thing from start to finish. Aside from how convenient it all was, we were really impressed with the steel frame structure. Longevity was important to us, and it felt like a solid long-term solution, and that’s exactly what we got. The annexe has now been in use just over 14 months, and it’s become our parents’ pride and joy. As their final home, it was important that it suited their needs, and OffPOD really let them shape it exactly how they wanted. One thing we’ve really noticed is how well insulated it is. It’s performed brilliantly through both the winter and summer, actually better than our main house, which is only 12 years old. The comfort and temperature control year-round has been amazing. Big thanks to the whole team at OffPOD for delivering such a lovely, high-quality space. We couldn’t be more pleased.

All we can say is WOW! Our anxieties about starting an extension were soon quashed, from the initial meeting with Chris about our idea and design, project arrangements with Scott and Tom and then the dedicated, efficient, skilled and professional service by Simon and Dale who built our dream extension. We were kept informed and included every step of the way. Questions or suggestions we made were always handled with interest and promptly. Importantly, the team respected our home and made the whole experience a joy to undertake- we never imagined it would turn out exactly as we dreamed. We would 100% recommend Offpod to friends and family so if that’s not credit then we don’t know what is. Thank you Team Offpod ☺️

We used OffPOD for our rear house extension and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The quality of the build was outstanding, and the team on site were professional, reliable, and worked incredibly hard throughout the project.

From the first contact through the design, planning and build the team from Off-Pod have been excellent. Communication has been first rate the build went quickly and smoothly all points raised by us during the process have been addresed and I would recommend Off-Pod to anyone thinking of a garden room, Granny annexe or extension.

OffPOD Luxury Garden Rooms were fantastic from project design to finish. They do an excellent job, and I heartily endorse it. The crew was professional, helpful, tidy, outstanding at problem-solving, and communicated well about timeframes and project progress. They provided us with alternatives, advice where necessary, and ideas we needed to consider to enhance the overall fit and finish. We enjoy our new chill-out room, which makes the yard a great spot for family and other gatherings.

I cannot recommend this company enough! Nothing was too much trouble for them, from the first contact to the completion of our garden room. The installation team worked extremely hard, and I just couldn’t believe how quickly they completed the job.

5 Star doesn’t do justice to describe OffPOD. 10 stars for a seamless project management. 10 stars for a smooth delivery. 10 stars for attention to detail every step of the way. OffPOD have set a high standard in the garden office market. A 10 stars company with 10 stars employees.

Offpod did our garden room and they were excellent throughout. I can’t speak highly enough of them. Fantastic customer service and our garden room is better than we imagined, amazing.

Brilliant from start to finish, very professional. Highly recommend this company, I love my new garden room.
