We bought a chair through here and its wobbly, low quality, and the fake leather seat is cracking in multiple places after a little more than a year -- support won't respond to honor warrant and are trying to just sell a new chair. I recommend staying away.

There isn't a 0 star
There isn't a 0 star, otherwise would give them only that. This company is a total fraud. You will not get your chair at least for a month.. When you get it, it will be broken.. Talk to them to return it, and they will ask you to send photos as evidence.. They take their own time in acknowledging your return merchandise. The issue is they don't seem to issue any refund though they send a PayPal screenshot that they had issued a refund. The catch is one can't dispute this transaction via the credit card company if the transaction is more than 45-60 days old.. So you just lost all your money without receiving anything in return or with a product that is useless.
This company should be banned and the ownsers should be put behind bars for their fraudulent practices.
liar company!!!!!
liar company!!!!!! Don't buy anything from this company!!!!
Will not honor return policy even if defective
Originally had good luck with them buying a Herman Miller chair for a home office. The second purchase, the chair arrived defective and impossible to assemble. I contacted them immediately, but got the total run around. They even suggested that I bend a metal piece of the chair myself instead of returning it. When I refused, they ignored multiple emails and calls even though their last email stated that they would send a return shipping label as soon as I forwarded a photo of the chair boxed up in its original box. I did. In fact, I sent them multiple photos at their request. No response. You cannot get worse customer support than this. I literally have a worthless chair sitting in a huge box in my garage. Never again.
Buyer beware
Buyer Beware.......seems like I've been scammed. Five days past latest delivery date for my Herman Miller chair. And the only one response after my email requesting an update (the response sounded digital created) was very confusing. Tried calling, that a waste of time.
I'm reporting them to my credit card company. Probably too late to get a refund.
OH DEAR GOD
OH DEAR GOD, SAVE YOURSELF HEADACHES DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE - Office Chair At Work is a SCAM! There order taken and bargains for dirty aka garbage chairs is quick, swift, and they will follow-up for the sale. The shipping to receive your product is a joke. They do not provide you with a correct tracking number. "Shipper created a label, UPS has not received the package yet." is all you get once you get a tracking number from OCAW. Once you receive the product the tracking number take note as it is not the same as what they provided via email. By the way there only communication is via email. Returns for refund is good luck. They send you a used tracking number that ships from some other state and delivered to a different state than what they provide on the shipping label the email you. Trust me, this is a nightmare. This 23-year-old company, as they indicate, needs to be shutdown and reported to the Feds for prosecution.
I ordered a Knoll life chair and…
I ordered a Knoll life chair and received the product. The chair seat fabric was rippled and when I complained to the company and requested a new chair seat, their explanation was that the seat comes like that. I have ordered dozens of these chairs for a company and NONE of them came with rippled fabric.
Don't buy from this company -- they do not stand behind the products they sell and then lie to avoid fixing the problem.

Sent wrong and inauthentic chair, strange return process
Ordered: Aeron C chair that was advertised as "open box," new wheels, and headrest.
Received: Aeron B backrest, a spine support piece for the back, a DIRTY base, and a single loose screw in the box. No paperwork, no instructions.
The arms and a couple of corners were "padded" with Priority Mail packing envelopes from the post office (yet it was shipped via FedEx?) There was a wire wrapped around the base that I suspect was part of a hydraulic system but who knows, I wouldn't have known how to put it together.
First I emailed advising my order was not complete, that there was no headrest or wheels. While awaiting response I did some research to ascertain that what I had was, in fact, a size B backrest, the incorrect back support, and potentially a counterfeit base. I then emailed a second time before even getting a response to the first message, saying that they sent the wrong size chair altogether, and I was now canceling the order altogether. The only response (from the infamous Kaytlyn Healy) was "We can send out a headrest. We can offer a 10% refund." I replied saying it didn't even appear to be able to attach a headrest, and requested info on how to return for a full refund. I got a response back saying, "Headrest goes on in 10 minutes." with a YouTube link. No thanks. I again email saying I am not happy with their service and wish to return the chair for a full refund.
I got another email saying they wanted pictures of the chair repacked in the original box with the shipping label removed, and once I sent pictures to prove I'd done all that, they would send a shipping label. So I did that. Got an email with a UPS shipping label to Montclare, NJ via UPS. But the chair came to me from St. Louis, MO via Fed Ex. What??? I sent an email inquiring about why the difference in both the addresses and the shipping companies. "She" just sent back 2 lines. "Our return department in in NJ. For refund reread previous email." I've no doubt they are going to try to screw me over. I have video of the delivery and tons of pictures of what they sent and the repackaging. Not happy at all. Will revise this based on my experience with the refund, if a revision is necessary. The typed sticker with the alleged FO number said the base was manufactured in 2010, but it's not a legit authentication number anyway.
I think anyone who reviews the company should also include the city/state of origin and return. I'm sure something is off about that as well.
Run, don't walk, from this, "company."
Officechairat work is a scam
This company is a scam. They sent me a chair which wasn't what I ordered. Not only that the cylinder leaks and doesn't work and the connection of the back to the frame is ripped. Now they expect me to return it to them at my cost. Total rip off. It seems like you are getting a good deal but it's not. I should have known better. You get what you pay for.
beware
personally, i think this is a scam. six weeks out and no status on product or when to expect, so i cancelled. glad i purchased through paypal because they "issued" a refund, which paypal never recieved. thankfully, paypal will take the matter up with them instead of me.
Do not do business with these awful people.
I ordered two chairs and they never were shipped. They show they were shipped but then the shipment was canceled. I have never seen that before. No person ever returned my emails. Nobody answers their phone number. There is no way to leave feedback on their fake review platform. After 4.5months my money is gone and they have not acknowledged my emails asking for status.
Received chair, customer service could be improved.
I received the chair, so that's more than some people have, looking at these reviews.
When I placed the order, I was quoted 5-15 business days for delivery.
After 15 business days, the chair had not arrived so I began email correspondence with them.
I was told that actually it would be 15-30 business days and, after I sent them a screenshot of my order (that showed 5-15 business days) I was told I would "probably get it within a week".
I received it today, which is 19 business days from the order, so I guess not too bad, although I would have preferred it sooner.
I might add that the UPS tracking number I got has shown "label created" from the very start until now, with no changes, so that was not a very useful way for me to track it.
The chair itself is supposed to come "pre-built". It mostly was, but I had to afix the back of the chair to the bottom of it myself.
You'll need a certain sized screwdriver and a certain sized alan key to be able to actually install the screws properly, so if you don't have them, you're SOL until you get some.
After finally getting the chair ready, I sat in it and it actually feels pretty comfortable so fingers crossed I can use the chair for some time going forwards.
This is the reason it's a 3 star review and not 2 star.
I may come back and amend the score after using the chair for some time.
[Edit] I might also add that the chair does not look brand new. It looks like its been used for some time and maybe moved around with dirty boots. I was kind of expecting second-hand for the price, but I would like it to at least look clean.
[Edit 2] I think if the email responses had been a bit more customer-friendly I would have left a better review and the bad things wouldn't have bothered me so much. I did always receive replies to my emails and I received the chair so I do not believe this company is a scam company, they just need to up their customer-service game and perhaps include the necessary tools so that you can properly install the chair.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!
TERRIBLE COMPANY! MASSIVE SCAMS! Like several others have said, I too would give negative stars, if possible. I ordered a Herman Miller Aeron chair February 11 (with 5-14 day shipping), and am still waiting for it over two months later. Customer Service has given me the run around time and time again - first saying it was taking 15-30 days, then saying if I wanted the chair I would need to pay for quick ship (another $299!). Most recently I was told it would ship "around April 15" -- but still nothing as of April 17. Additionally, this company seems to only do business by email. The phone number they provide does not connect you with a person; it allows you to leave a voicemail, and then you get an automated text saying to send an email. This has been such a colossal waste of my time. Lesson learned -- if the prices look too good to be true, they're too good to be true.
They claim a 12-year all around…
They claim a 12-year all around warranty on all their products. Their products are top grade. Their customer service is non-existent. I've been trying for months to just get something more than an auto-response (as in "we will get back to you in 24 hours"). So as long as you know you will never want or expect customer service I guess it's worth the risk.
They refuse to refund my money and they never shipped the chairs
They charged me on Nov 28,2022. After waiting awhile, I contacted them and they wanted more money. I said no. This happened a couple of times. They gave me a tracking number that never let their warehouse. The day that it was supposed to be delivered was Jan 12, 2023, but on Jan 9 it still had not left the warehouse. I cancelled the order. As of April 5, I have yet to receive my money back or the chairs. They refuse to answer the phone or reply to my emails.
PayPal says they can do nothing.
I am sorry I ever used these people. They stole my money.
PayPal says they start a refund, then cancel it. PayPal says someone is using a guest account to cancel my refund. The claim is now reopened.
PayPal's policy is that they get to keep the money, if a claim isn't processed by April 11th, but somebody is cancelling my claims.
PayPal has now reopened my claim and escalated it. Office Chair@Work has a negative balance at PayPal, so every time they try to process my refund, it is closed due to insufficient funds. PayPal refunds to shut down their PayPal account, so they can keep taking peoples money.
This is a scam, I've been robbed.
NEGATIVE STARS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS.
I would give this company a negative star if it were possible. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered chair in January. When I did not receive it nearly 5 weeks later, I requested a cancellation and refund. The money was refunded but then the refund was cancelled. I filed a dispute with PayPal and the money was again refunded and then the refund was cancelled. Today I filed my second dispute on the latest cancellation and the money has again been refunded; but due to the nature of PayPal, it is uncertain whether it will be indeed refunded. On the next go around, I will file a lawsuit. I would not, under any circumstances order anything from this company. At least to the extent of Herman Miller, they are also not authorized sellers.
This company is a fraud
This company is a fraud. They advertise as a used furniture store with good quality. The Knoll office chair I ordered arrived in a box that had ripped and the chair parts were jostling around in the box. It cost $499.
But I was willing to be open minded and I opened it and put it together. I immediately discovered that the base had essentially been spray painted to cover up major damage because when I put it together the spray paint rubbed off all over my hands and clothes. The wheels of the chair are squeaky and very beat up. But, the Knoll chairs are amazing. I immediately sent an email to their customer service on that same day asked for a replacement chair since I still wanted the chair, just not one that was as beat up as the one I received. So, I sent the request in using the instructions provided on their website, and went on with my day.
I never heard back.
Then a few weeks later, I got up from my chair and the seat came right off and left a sharp screw exposed which snagged my pants and stabbed my leg. At this point, I wanted the refund versus a replacement. I then contacted them again (called the number and submitted a form on their website). On their website, it says the purchase is money back guarantee. It also says free returns. It is right on the top of their website. I still didn't hear back.
So, yesterday, I submitted a complaint to the BBB. Today, I received an email from office chair at work saying that they had been trying to reach me for weeks and I didn't respond. There is no email from them in my inbox nor spam. We then went back and forth on email using 2 other email addresses (my work email and another personal email that I have) since they said my yahoo email did not work.
Hi.
If you want to return you have to pack the chair in the box it came in and email a photo of it.
Or if you like a 30% refund.
It has been almost 3 weeks. The original box is gone at this point since I put the chair together the day it arrived. It was a huge ripped box and I put it out with my my recycle bin. Why would I save it?
The emails are written in poor grammar and with mistakes. What do they mean by "or if you like a 30% refund"?
There is no person to speak with. When you call the number on the website, it simply says to send an email.
This is the signature line of the person who has been emailing with me today:
Evelyn Kinsley
Customer Care Team
Office Chair @ Work
1.800.685.3235
Since I don't have a box anymore, I have to drop it off at the location. This is her email: "The receiving is open from 11 to 4. Please come Tuesday from 11 to 4 to return. Jan is the manager. 1109 Virginia St suite d Elizabeth, NJ 07201, USA"
So they want me to drive to NJ between 11-4p to get the refund.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It would be 1 thing if they said that their chairs are very used, perhaps damaged, but priced accordingly. You get what you pay for, so that would be fine and informed as a consumer. But, that is not what they say and they have policies for full money back guarantee and refunds.

2 attempts at refund via paypal have failed.
They start the refund, so paypal closes the case, then they don't complete it..
