OKA - Guildford Reviews 

I received a genuine welcome from Caroline who helped me choose table lamps when I visited the Guildford store. A good shopping experience and I love the products. Caroline helped me to source a specific lamp I was looking for at another store.

I am leaving a review for Polly at Oka in Guildford, because I genuinely feel her level of customer care deserves to be recognised.

I came into the store a few times with my husband to pick foral arrangements (September 2026). From the moment she helped us, Polly was engaging and incredibly patient. We were taking our time deciding, and she never once made us feel rushed or pressured. Instead, she listened, took an interest in what we were looking for and gave us her time and attention so generously.

Polly showed comprehensive knowledge about the floral arrangements and is clearly very passionate about her work. She made us feel valued as customers and took real pride in helping us find something that was right for us.

In fact, it was Polly’s approach and care that made the difference for us. We chose to purchase from Oka Guildford rather than elsewhere because of the experience she gave us.

Polly’s exceptional level of customer service really stood out. She has a natural warmth, professionalism and enthusiasm that made such a difference to our experience. We left the store feeling looked after, and that was entirely down to her.

Polly is an absolute credit to Oka, and I sincerely hope her efforts are recognised. I work in a senior management role in another sector, and I recognised genuine skills and qualities in Polly. She has a natural ability to connect with people, a genuine passion for her work and a level of care that cannot simply be taught. These are qualities that I hope will take her far in her career at Oka.

She is exactly the kind of person who makes customers want to return, and someone any organisation should be proud to have representing them.

I have just purchased the large, blue and white, Zhoushan vase from OKA in Guildford and I am very pleased with it. It is a very striking ornament and looks lovely in my home. The whole of the store is beautifully laid out and there are plenty of staff to assist you if you have any enquiries. I was exceptionally impressed with the service I received from Diana and Emma and it was a great help that the vase was taken to my car as it was very heavy.

I wish I could remember the ladies name (Wednesday afternoon in the Guildford store) but she helped me select some cushions that would work in my living room. She spent 20 minutes with me going through various combinations. I purchased 5 cushions and they are amazing and look fabulous in my living room.

I’d bought and returned a couple of rugs online from Oka because they just weren’t right for our space - instead I decided to tow my young children to the Guildford branch, which is about a 90 min drive, to see them in person. Polly immediately came over to help, and honestly gave us the best experience - she was so kind to our children, she could see that I wasn’t quite finding what I was looking for and directed me to a rug that she loved which ended up being “The One”, and then she helped with matching cushions too. They look absolutely incredible in our living room, and I wouldn’t have chosen them without Polly’s help. She’s a superstar, and we’ll certainly make the trip again for help in more areas!

Excellent helpful service

I was helped by 2/3 of your assistants in connection with the purchase of a sofa and cushions. They were all knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Following the delivery of the sofa I called in to store several times to choose cushions for it and was served by a different assistant who was equally helpful and patient. The service was exceptional for Guildford which can often be casual to the point of ‘couldn’t care less’ or even rude.

Very positive experience dealing with this company, we bought a sofa from the Guildford branch, visited several times to check it out, got them to move stuff around, dealt with Ottie one of the sales team, she was very helpful & made the whole spending loads of money on a new sofa experience trouble free!, very impressed with her professionalism

The sales assistant I didn’t get her name, she was so helpful and came up with various options for me. I will be returning to get cushion pads ,lampshade and lamp.

Service was great!!!. For 5-6 years i have been browsing through the shop. I make sure I go to OKA at least once a year, because it’s beautiful with a warm feeling to it. Today for the first time I was able to find something affordable yet sophisticated and beautiful. I bought this item as a wedding gift, Danielle was ever so kind and helpful she was patient and professional made me feel valued as a customer. I will definitely be shopping and buying there again.
