We recently had the absolute pleasure of working with James on the renovation of our barn kitchen, and the results have far exceeded our expectations. James invested real time in understanding how we wanted to use the space and created a completely bespoke kitchen that blends perfectly with the character of our barn, while still feeling modern, practical, and full of thoughtful touches. The quality of the materials and workmanship is outstanding – every drawer, cabinet, and surface feels solid, beautifully made, and designed to last a lifetime. Nick is a brilliant carpenter and went above and beyond with every detail we asked for!

The craftsmanship is truly outstanding – beautifully finished, and tailored specifically to the space. It’s rare to find such attention to detail and commitment to quality. The bespoke touches they created for us have turned our kitchen into the heart of our home, blending rustic charm with elegant, timeless design.

Beyond the exceptional product, the service we received was second to none. The team were professional, reliable, and a joy to have on-site – nothing was ever too much trouble, and their pride in their work really shone through.

Absolutely amazing! The whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic and I couldn't recommend them more. Communication was great and I'm super happy with the work they did. Nothing but good things to say about Oliver James.

Avoid like the plague.

My family and I had a very bad experience with this company, which caused us no end of stress and disrupted my children's lives for weeks, as we had to move out due to having no heating and no kitchen.

I am still finding issues months on from completion.

Very unorganised ie; skips not organised dumped waste on parks trust without permission had them knocking on my door threatening legal action.
Poor time keeping job took 3 months longer than agreed.
They subcontract most if their work out.
Poor workmanship ie; my oven is balancing and not secured I have sent a video to James and asked why this is like it is replied " no Idea" and it appears is now ignoring me . Kitchen fitter is ignoring my calls.
Charged way over the top for additional works ie; Charged me £800 for a piece of steel that I later find from a friend should actually cost a fraction of that amount.

Honestly I could go on and on so please if you value your sanity use someone else.

If you're expecting any communication from Mr James don't hold your breath. A rudely unreliable man.

Lockdown was a constant reminder that we needed more space in our growing family home. With this in mind, we contacted Oliver James to design us an extension that would create a new kitchen space to entertain our large family. From start to finish, Oliver James made the process so comfortable and easy. The results were unbelievable, and we couldn't be more thrilled!

The work completed was incredible and has elevated our home to a new level. The suggestion of the bi-folding doors has opened up our home and is the perfect space in the summer months!
