THREATENING CON MAN!! AVOID

The most unprofessional and bullying company i have ever encountered. Didn't turn up, so i contacted someone else. i called Thomas Oliver one of the directors to cancel and then they tried invoicing me a cancellation charge of £79 with an option of a discount if i paid it immediately. Apparently its on there terms and conditions. The link from google takes you to there website home page where it is not stated as the page is mirrored. Its only if you click home on the home page the T&CS are displayed. After cancelling i was bombarded with threatening messages that they were going to come to my home and i would be sorry i crossed them. Like all the reviews about this company, it looks like bullying is something they are known for. Please report any bad practice by this company to the police as i have and hopefully Thomas and his mate Jordan will be prosecuted. They contacted off various numbers with threats, these include Thomas's wife Becky's number. After looking further into there company's they have opened in different company names in order to not get caught out by the bad reviews. Please avoid at all cost other linked companies that they have traded at: Oliver's Locksmiths Ltd, Oliver's Av Recruitment Limited, JR Locksmiths, cheap locksmiths.net.

Extremely poor customer care

Extremely poor customer care.
After having the lock fitted to my elderly in-laws front door, I called to clarify whether an anti snap lock had been fitted, as it didn't look like the ones fitted to our property. However, Oliver became very rude and offensive by interupting what I was saying, and ended the call before I had finished speaking. Customer service appalling in my opinion, especially when I was only making sure elderly people had the safest possible lock fitted.

Vile human being

Vile human being. Advised he would be there within the hour, 3 hours later no show and not picking up calls. Turns up 4 hours later and is told another locksmith had been due to him saying he would be there WITHIN the hour and not answering calls and overall taking 4 hours. Became very aggressive over text message and threatening to come to the house and let himself in because he is a locksmith. Vile bully please do not contact him. Goes under CK locksmiths also and name is Thomas oliver. If you Google his name you will see many new articles about his vile behaviour.

Con artists

Con artists. Told me they would be with me within the hour. No show after an hour so I called and he told me he'd call me back. No call back. I called again and he said it would be 20 minutes. 40 minutes and still no show. Over 2 hours later I had to call someone else and he says there is a cancellation fee. Not a chance. I never agreed or signed anything. I was lied to. Do not be scammed by this con artist.

send i the bailiffs

80 year old sister in law rang and arranged over the phone for someone to come and look at the front door lock. Then changed her mind and cancelled the arrangement shortly after that. Was told that she would have to pay a cancellation fee and that the bailiffs would be round to collect if she didn't pay. Tried to point out to the guy that there was no contract and she had exercised her right under the 14 day cooling off procedure to cancel the arrangement. He went on about terms and conditions and then hung up.Can't wait to see what happens next - if anything.

False promises and threats

Rang these locksmiths on 14/06/25 at 12-30PM because I had locked myself out of my new apartment a man called Tom said a locksmith would be with within half an to hour and he would ring when he was 5 minutes away,I waited outside for just 5 minutes less than an hour and was told the locksmith was late getting away but should be with me shortly, I waited another hour and a half and rang again, I was told not to ring again but to communicate by text and I would receive a discount for waiting so long,at approximately 4-15pm he sent a text saying the locksmith had broken down so couldn't come and he was sending another "lad"who would only £79,and asked me if tat would be OK,by this time I felt as though I was being fobbed off and stressed 4 hours was long enough he then told me I was entitled to cancel but would have to pay £79 turnout charge reduced to £29 if I paid within one hour, I refused and he then threatened me with bailiffs if I didn't pay stressing it was within his terms of business, I told him the only terms I agreed to were that he would be within an hour and now we are into 4 hours and still waiting for some"lad" to turn up,sorry I expect better service than that and arrogance like he showed was evidence of his ignorance my last words to him were I'll see you in court I eagerly await the outcome, people like him should not be in business, all correspondence was conducted on the phone including the times of each phone call and all text messages

Initially overcharged the verbally abused …

My 85 year old mother with Parkinson’s had locks fitted by Oliver’s Locksmiths on the 7.4.25 she had two locks fitted and was charged £400 after being offered a cheaper price on the phone. However when he was there the price kept going up. We could not get the door to lock this morning a month later I rang and spoke to a person called Tom who said the locksmith would contact me in 2hours. 2hours 30 mins later there had been no response I rang back. He said I told you the locksmith would ring when he was 5 minutes away. He then texted for details of the address I gave them to him then added we would not pay for a call out fee as this should not happen after a month. He immediately rang and said he did not like my attitude from the start. He then proceeded to verbally abuse me using the F word and said to find another locksmith. Totally unprofessional. The office defended his behaviour and said they would always charge to come out and best they could off would be a discount. Overcharged then verbally abused for questioning them. Terrible
