The process and teething issues of…

The process and teething issues of being the first customer with Volkswagen were rather disheartening.
However, your staff were amazing, communicating every step of the way and making sure I was looked after.
We got there in the end, but it took a lot of the joy out of the new-car excitement.

Leasing consultant Jaryd was excellent

Leasing consultant Jaryd was excellent. He could not be faulted. He went above and beyond to get a challenging deal across the line for us. Professional, friendly, helpful and committed to taking care of us.

Aftermarket and settlements process was less impressive after working with Jaryd, but still 5 stars overall based on the experience with Jaryd.

Jaryd was amazing

Jaryd was amazing! He guided me through the whole process ensuring all my questions were answered promptly and with the level of detail I needed for reassurance. I could tell Jaryd had also thought of things I may need to know and ensured he was proactive in providing this information before I even needed to ask. My application was processed quickly and Ashleigh from settlements also provided an excellent level of responsiveness and reassurance at this stage of the process. Disappointed at after service

Sales representative Chloe was great and the sales process was reasonable smooth. Their Finance back office however is very disappointing especially in their way of handling payments. My lease has been since late November until now which is 6 months and constantly the contribution from my employer to Oly which is paid on or around the last day of the month, DOES NOT get applied to my Oly account until ONE MONTH later which by that time, the next month's repayment has already been charged on my Oly account so my account is always in negative. I have submitted claims of around $2800 total now and have only received $220 back so I have been paying out of my own pocket all of the insurance cost plus rego even though they are supposed to be included in my monthly deductions to Oly. I have rang them many times over the past 2 months, I have had someone cut me off once, and the last time I called last week, they couldn't take my call or leave a message at all for "unforeseeable reasons". Their hello email address takes at least a week for someone to get back to me as well. It's just really frustrating and disappointing considering they are now a listed company.

Oly was easy to arrange financing but purchase process could be improved

Oly was easy to arrange financing. However the communication between the dealership (BYD) and Oly was surprising terrible given that Oly is the preferred novated leasing company. A number of times I found myself connecting dots and it was clear that neither side had a full picture of progress. This included initiating the novated lease request through BYD.

Would not recommend

I was excited to use Oly for my fleet purchase, as they came recommended by BYD I assumed the experience would be seamless. I ordered the car at BYD, confirmed it with Oly, then 3 weeks later, with no communication in between, Oly confirmed the wrong car was ordered and asked me to sign for it. I would need to wait another 2 weeks for the right car to be ordered. When the right car was finally ordered they spelt my name wrong on the contract - to change one letter they misspelled in my last name took over another two weeks to correct. I had ordered and arranged tyres from a separate provider and sent the invoice and everything Oly requested, another 3 weeks later Oly confirmed they couldn’t set up the tyre company as a provider so the tyres would need to be removed. Another contract to sign with the tyres removed this time saw insurance costs added without explanation, and then another 3 weeks went by and the car was finally settled. There were unreturned calls, miscommunication, a parody of errors and endless frustration in getting just the basics right. From the time I chose the car at BYD to having it settled was nearly 3 months. If you’re in a hurry or easily lose patience at incompetence don’t use Oly. I was also told fortnightly payments would start only after I received the car. I’ve had the car less than a week and have already been debited, no payment schedule was ever confirmed after settlement, so also be aware of surprise debits at their convenience.

You pay up front costs

The application process was okay, but once you're in, you have to pay for must costs upfront and wait for a refund. That is not what a novated lease is all about. They advertise no out of pocket expenses, that is not true.

Highly recommend

From the moment Michael got my enquiry, he made me feel unique and important. He respectfully gave me time to make decisions, was always available when I had questions, and went above and beyond liaising with me and the car dealership.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Oly. As a first time Leaser, Michael made the process easy to understand and took the stress out of it completely.

I experienced a few hiccups along the way with my lease, but Will Stapelfeldt was quick to step in and help. He responded promptly and made the whole process much smoother. It took to long for the approval, The app signing process didnt seem to work properly woth Approval delayed and needing to be signed multiple times

The service I receive from Nitesh

The service I receive from Nitesh from day one was above all expectation. Nitesh was responsive, thoughtful and provided details I needed to make my decision to proceed with my leasing arrangement with Oly. Oly/Nitesh gave me very competitive quote and worked with me to get my lease approved. I will recommend them to friends and colleagues and advocate to my employers to partner with Oly for future employee novated leases.
