Save yourself the hassle

Unreliable to say the least. Website says open at 8am, I sat outside from 8am-8:45am with nothing, spoke to surrounding businesses who said I’d be lucky if he was in for 10am. Doesn’t reply to any texts, I’ve been waiting since February to hear back! Absolute joke wouldn’t waste your time or money.

The guys in there clearly don’t communicate, my partner had his car booked in for a service, everything agreed and double checked via phone call and text. When we brought it in the other guy said he had no idea it was booked in and didn’t have the time? Sort it out boys.

Disgusted and Disappointed doesn't come close

Last thing I wanted to do was take to the keyboard and negatively review a company but I feel with this company I have to let people know my experience.
18 Days ago I paid this company £60 to tow my daughters car to diagnose and fix, to give some context my daughter turned 17 in May and she was gifted a little Mini which is her pride and joy, she passed her test in August this year and was excited to start driving, that didn't last long when she went to start it for work and it wouldn't start!

RAC came out and told us they suspected it was a fuel pump, because it was in our drive and undrivable Omnius came in their pick up truck and towed it for £60 for which I was grateful.

I was given no information on what the next steps were or a timeline to fix, this was the Friday, I called them later and they said would it be the next day before they could look at it, fair enough I thought, Sunday came & no call, maybe they were closed so fair enough, Monday, still nothing so I called the mobile I was given, no reply, so various calls after this were ignored and my texts and voicemails left and not responded to, I was not able to get them on that mobile number from then until now, obviously my number came up and was ignored.

So from then until now, I called every day or every other day to the workshop number which they answered and was told, should be ready today, didn't happen, should be ready tomorrow, didn't happen, I stressed that time was going on and we are going away on Saturday and my daughter needed this car for her early shifts while we were gone, I recorded the audio of when I went to the actual garage a couple of times after them not responding to me, He told me beginning of last week he was going on holiday today (Tuesday 16th, 18 days after taking car in) and so every one of the cars in that workshop would need to be finished by today so that gave me some hope.

By Saturday I had heard nothing so went along again and place was closed up, went along again later in the day and they were there, I was told your daughters car is next, fair enough I took him at his word and Sunday night I got my first actual contact initiated by them which was a text which read Hi, hopefully have the mini ready for you tonight to which I replied thanks, appreciate that.
No word that night (said he was working all weekend and into the evenings to clear the cars) so Monday we were getting really worried and my husband went along in the morning and was told should be ready today, no word at all for the whole day and when we went along later around 4pm the place was locked up and the neighbouring business said he had gone to Glasgow to get a clutch for another car.

My husband explained to the gentleman the situation and that he was ignoring any calls I made to him from my mobile so he kindly called the man and he again said hopefully he would get to it tonight, my husband said no, enough is enough please just leave the car out in the carpark and we will have it towed elsewhere.

We went back at 8pm no car left out and place locked up, I withheld my number and it rang out but this time I got a rejection reply of can I call you later, I texted we need the mini out before you leave but we came along and it wasn't there, he called back later, bearing in mind this was only the 2nd time in 18 days he had picked up the phone to update me or respond despite a promise on ending each call and conversation I will call and update you, he said was he was away buying the last of his holiday clothes and would leave the car out in the morning.

I then went along and waited for 07.45 and he was there, I wasn't rude, and I explained to him I hadn't been throughout the time I had been fobbed off and I took them at their word and didn't get angry but I asked what was the reason it hadn't been looked at, he didn't look up from being under the bonnet of a car and said eh just time really we took too much on, I said but why keep lying and fobbing us off and if they had been truthful we could have take it elsewhere, he pushed the car out to the front door and gave me the keys, no apology nothing.

Now on their Facebook page says it says the following:
At Omnius, you are our number one priority, Our state of the art workshop allows our mechanics to provide an unparalleled level of service at your convenience.

Quite honestly I am stunned at how bad their customer service was and I will now use word of mouth to let others know the situation and what they may expect if they use this business.

18 days later we are trying to organise a tow truck to take the car somewhere else, £150 down for a fuel pump which was never confirmed as the problem as they tried to then say a wiring issue was at fault and £60 for the first tow.

Excellent service and customer experience!!!

1st time using Omnius and so impressed with quality of service and honesty from Cameron (owner). Took my 80 year old parent's car in because they thought they needed tyres. Bought through Asda so turned up and he asked if I really wanted the tyres as plenty life left. Went ahead anyway, but just his go esty and friendliness were a credit to this small and trustworthy garage9.

Unexpected bonus

Got my ASDA tyres fitted here and I also ordered a wheel alignment, now I've had an irritating noise coming from the offside rear for a couple of years have asked the garage to correct it nothing worked, so the lad doing the alignment tells me they are all in the green but one wheel is just in the green so he's adjusted it, great news guess what has gone yep that irritating noise thanks guys awesome 👌
