Cant believe I have to give one star

Cant believe I have to give one star. My car has been back to he dealership 9 times for safety issues. Child safety lock turns off by it self. My car stopped int the middle of the motorway . I use the car or my disabled child and I use it for work. I work with vulnerable adults the car is not fit for purpose. Every time I call customer service I get ignored and promised to be called back. Each time I have a new case manager and they are all the same they do not care about customers or the brand. The current case advisor is called Madina not once has she called me. I have a big list of issues with my car ever since I have purchased the car and the dealer and Jaecoo uk have no zero customer service.

Rubbish App Update from above review. I called the customer services as asked to do so and they gave me a code over the phone. I typed this in and the app is now working again. Thanks for their help. The app is a disappointment.

This is about the App. The purchase and car are great. The App is absolute rubbish. It doesn’t work sometimes and also asks you to sign in using your mobile number, you need to request a code then complete the jigsaw (I am not joking) then the code should come to your phone. You have 5 minutes to enter the code or ask for it to be resent. Trouble is the code doesn’t come through.
I called customer services and they said it sometimes happens and to phone them and they will manually go through it with me!
That’s all well and good but the finish on Saturday at 4.30 and are not open on Sundays.
I have been told to call back in half an hour and they will do it with me!
Hope this works. Absolutely rubbish app really lets everything else down about Jaecoo.

Jaecoo 7

I purchased a brand new Jaecoo 7 black luxury from the Allen Ford Motor group in Northampton and it was the most peaceful and straightforward process ever. All of the employees were amazing and helpful but a massive shout out to Tony at the Northampton branch who took care of my purchase. He was quick to reply, always really helpful and on the day on the hand over I was on a tight schedule which he smashed out of the park with the quick and effective service. The car is also amazing and would definitely recommend.

Engine cuts out going up hill!!!

I purchased a brand-new car from Marshall Motor Group in May 2026 and, within just three weeks, experienced a serious issue where the engine repeatedly cut out while driving uphill. This has now happened four times, creating what I believe to be a significant safety risk for me, my young son and other road users.

Despite reporting the fault promptly and returning the vehicle for inspection, I was told that because no fault code had been recorded, nothing could be done. The only option offered was a part exchange, meaning I would have to suffer a financial loss on a brand-new car that developed a serious fault almost immediately.

I appreciate that intermittent faults can be difficult to diagnose, but simply saying "we can't find the problem, so we can't help" is not an acceptable response when customer safety is involved.

I had expected far better customer service and support from Marshall Motor Group and am extremely disappointed with how this matter has been handled.

Brand new vehicle failed after less than three months – unacceptable after-sales support

My experience with Jaecoo has been extremely disappointing.

I took delivery of a brand new Jaecoo in January 2026.

On 30 March 2026, after less than three months of ownership, the vehicle suffered a serious high-voltage battery/BMS failure and became completely unusable.

Since then, the vehicle has remained in the dealer's workshop.

The dealer repeatedly explained that they could not carry out repairs because they were waiting for technical guidance and authorisation from Jaecoo's engineering team.

After almost three months:

• there has been no confirmed repair date;
• no clear technical solution;
• no meaningful communication from Jaecoo;
• no direct contact from the manufacturer;
• no explanation of when the vehicle will be repaired.

For a manufacturer trying to establish itself in the UK market, this level of after-sales support is simply unacceptable.

Mechanical faults can happen with any manufacturer.

What customers judge is how those faults are handled.

Unfortunately, Jaecoo's response has been characterised by delays, lack of communication and an apparent inability to support its own dealer network in resolving what should have been a warranty repair.

A vehicle failing within three months is disappointing.

Waiting almost three months without a solution is unacceptable.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Jaecoo until its after-sales support improves significantly.

I ordered my red omoda 5 knight in the middle of March I have called many omoda dealers and feel and know motability customers wait longer for their cars im guessing as it's leased and not brought outright but disibility discrimination may play a part .

I find it's the only dealer who can't tell you your vin and batch number until its in a uk port my last car I was told ship and country it passed.

Omoda you need to find ways to update customers better expecially those on disibility motability we need a car for our basic needs not a pleasure tool.

TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough…

TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough Review

I honestly cannot remember the last time I experienced customer service as exceptional as I received from Alan and Kevin at TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough.
From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, I felt I was dealing with people I could genuinely trust. We initially visited just to have a look, but ended up purchasing a brand-new black Jaecoo 7 Hybrid—and not because we felt pressured in any way. Quite the opposite. The entire sales journey was exciting, informative, and enjoyable.
Alan and Kevin took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, helping me compare the Jaecoo 7 with other vehicles on the market. The benefits and value this car offers are incredible, and their knowledge and passion for the product really shone through.
I was completely honest with them about my previous experience of owning a Range Rover Velar, which had unfortunately been the most expensive and frustrating car ownership experience of my life, spending nearly two of the last four years in the garage. I told them I never wanted to make that mistake again. The honesty, care, and genuine concern that Alan and Kevin showed throughout the process gave me complete confidence in my decision.
The experience was so positive that I turned to my husband and said, “We don’t need to go anywhere else—this is our new local dealership.”
Collection day was made even more special with a beautiful red bow on the car, and the team went above and beyond to arrange delivery on my birthday, creating a memory I will treasure for years to come.
If you’re considering visiting TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough, my advice is simple: go and see Alan and Kevin. I promise you won’t be disappointed. They have completely restored my faith in buying a car and set a standard of customer service that is second to none.
Thank you for making such a special purchase truly unforgettable. We are loving our new car.

Dangerous interventions (every day)

Don't understand their job. To make a car. Job of the driver is to be responsible for the car and obey the law. The Jaecoo 7 constantly gets involved and erroniously interprets the law / what is safe. The cars interventions are mostly annoying and wrong, sometimes dangerous.

Car. Stop overuling the responsible adult with the license. It's as welcome as a... think of something unwelcome.

Love the warranty, hate the software.

Why do they keep updating privacy and…

Why do they keep updating privacy and requiring acceptance and login
Requiring security code being sent your phone which doesn't arrive
So you can't login and then can't charge the car. It doesn't work if you use email or phone SMS
Is it possible to reject the car as it doesn't meet merchantable quality because if you can't recharge the battery its useless
Stupid
Today carried out exactly the same procedure to get login code and on 3rd attempt it worked
Yesterday tried 30 times and it didn't work

Extremely disappointed with my OMODA 7

Extremely disappointed with my experience so far with my brand-new OMODA 7 purchased through Thames Motor Group.

The car is only weeks old and has already been back to the dealership three separate times for different issues. The first visit was to resolve a SIM activation problem and a Bluetooth call quality issue. The second was after smoke was seen coming from the front grille and the coolant level was found to be very low. Now, on the third visit, the vehicle is being investigated for the same unresolved Bluetooth issue as well as a serious problem where the car pulls to the left at motorway speeds.

The most frustrating part is that the vehicle has now been stuck in the service department for over a week, and neither issue has been resolved. The dealership is still waiting for guidance from OMODA’s technical team regarding the Bluetooth problem, while the wheel alignment/steering issue also remains unresolved.

For a brand-new vehicle, this level of inconvenience is completely unacceptable. I’ve lost significant time attending repeated service visits, arranging transport, and being without my car. While I appreciate the efforts of the dealership staff, who have been polite and helpful throughout, the fact remains that a new car should not have this many faults from the outset.

The Bluetooth issue appears to be affecting multiple OMODA 7 owners across the UK, yet there still seems to be no clear fix. Combined with the coolant concern, smoke from the grille, and steering issues, my confidence in the vehicle has been seriously damaged.

At this stage, I honestly wish I could return the car and purchase something else. I bought a new car expecting reliability and peace of mind, but instead I’ve spent more time dealing with faults and service appointments than enjoying the vehicle.

I sincerely hope OMODA and Thames Motor Group can resolve these issues quickly, but based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend the OMODA 7 at all.

I purchased a new Jaecoo 7 SHS Hybrid…

I purchased a new Jaecoo 7 SHS Hybrid with high expectations and was excited to take delivery of what appeared to be a modern, well-equipped and technologically advanced vehicle. Unfortunately, those expectations were shattered within the first few hours of ownership.

Almost immediately after driving the vehicle away from the dealership, (cars2 Wakefield), I began experiencing a number of concerning issues, including unusual engine noises, excessive smoke from the exhaust, electronic faults and other defects that significantly undermined my confidence in the vehicle. These were not issues that developed after months of use; they arose virtually straight after collection.

Given the nature and extent of the faults, I rejected the vehicle and expected the matter to be investigated and resolved promptly. Instead, I have found myself involved in a lengthy and stressful dispute that remains ongoing and is now the subject of a Financial Ombudsman Service investigation. I also emailed and telephoned Jaecoo HQ in the uk. i never received a response despite numerous emails.

What has disappointed me most is not only the faults themselves, but the experience that followed. As a customer purchasing a brand-new vehicle, I expected a high standard of customer care, transparency and support. Instead, I have spent months chasing information, requesting documentation and attempting to obtain a fair resolution.

Throughout this period, I have continued to make finance payments and maintain insurance cover whilst being unable to enjoy the benefit of the vehicle I purchased. The financial impact, inconvenience and stress have been considerable.

The most frustrating aspect is that these issues arose within hours of collection. When purchasing a new vehicle, customers rightly expect reliability, quality and peace of mind. My experience has been the complete opposite.

Whilst any manufacturer can occasionally produce a vehicle that develops faults, what truly matters is how customers are treated when problems arise. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with little confidence in the level of support available when serious concerns are raised.

I sincerely hope my case is eventually resolved fairly, but based on my experience to date, I cannot recommend the Jaecoo 7 SHS Hybrid or the ownership experience that has followed.

Prospective buyers should ensure they thoroughly research both the vehicle and the after-sales support available before making a purchase.

Never Buy Omoda

I purchased my vehicle brand new. After only one week of use and approximately 1,000 km of driving, cracks spontaneously appeared in the rear taillight on the tailgate. The cracks are located in multiple places and are not related to stone chips or any form of damage. Water has since entered the taillight, causing malfunctions in the lighting and turn signal systems; the lights are no longer functioning properly.

What disappointed me even more was the service. I visited an authorized OMODA service center with a vehicle that had only 1,000 km on it. Instead of receiving assistance, I was told that I had to return to the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. Another authorized service center also referred me elsewhere. Despite this being a clear warranty issue, nobody seemed willing to take responsibility.

When I contacted the importer/head office to file a complaint, I again received conflicting information. There is talk of a European warranty, yet it appears difficult to obtain support even within the Netherlands for a vehicle that is less than two weeks old.

My vehicle has now been unusable for two weeks because of an issue that should be resolved under warranty. Instead of being offered a quick solution, I am continuously being referred from one party to another.

This is entirely my personal experience. I hope OMODA will seriously improve the quality of its service and warranty procedures, because I am extremely disappointed with my experience so far.
