Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the staff, frequently describing them as rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. This negative sentiment extended to the overall service and customer service, with numerous accounts of unpleasant interactions and a lack of basic manners from employees. People often encountered issues when trying to send or collect parcels, with staff sometimes refusing service or making the process difficult. However, some people also felt that the delivery service was ambiguous, with mixed experiences reported. Similarly, opinions on the products were varied, indicating a lack of strong consensus among customers. Despite the prevalent negative feedback, a minority of reviewers did report positive experiences with certain staff members, describing them as friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Inpost agents

I went to collect my parcel delivered to the shop in Chesterton Newcastle u Lyme.
The staff would not hand it to me and wanted ID which I didn't have.
If you have the InPost App you don't to produce ID. It clearly states this in the App.
The accepted this but said it was 'company policy' so I had to go all the way home again.
I've informed Inpost about this too.

Beware

One stop. The parade. Thorogate. Rawmarsh. Verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, religious intolerance, this from a member of the staff!

Rude and unprofessional staff

Been going to one stop for years was refused my impost parcel no where on the impost website does it say that ID is required to pick up a package I have a QR code sent to my account I normally pick up outside the shop in a locker I called impost customer service and they told me that I don’t need ID to pick up a impost package that why a QA code is sent to me to be able to pick up my package really outrageous I would understand if was Yodal which informs you need ID on the pick up code email really the staff need to stop making up there own rules and regulations when it clearly shows that you don’t need to provide any Identification with impost poor customer service not on when your Staff argues in front of other customers over it just found her to be very rude and unprofessional after my other package I ordered come I will not be using the shop anymore neither will any of my family I will use a different impost location.

please read below and inform your staff how to do there job correctly and handle customers professionally and with respect and not to talk to customers like the are they are stupid. and certainly not to make a scene when the shop was busy and other customers were there if I employed that staff member she would not have a job tomorrow 😤

*****Inpost customer service message***

No, you do not need to show ID to pick up a parcel from an InPost Locker or op; you only need to scan the QR de or enter the collection code you
¡eive via email or the app. Someone else can pick up your parcel for you by using your QR code.
• For InPost Lockers: Scan the QR code at the locker terminal or open the locker directly through the InPost app.
• For InPost Shops: Show the QR code to a staff member to scan.
• Collecting on behalf of someone else: The person collecting just needs your QR code to open the locker or show to staff.

On multiple occasions Ive found the staff to be rude and at times confrontational, today for an example after a 12 hour shift I visited the one stop store on bells lane in Nottingham and the male cashier was so very low when speaking that I couldn’t hear him so he repeated himself but in a way I found to be unpleasant, then a young couple dropped a yogurt on the floor and they were handed some blue paper and they were on their knees cleaning this up , i openly asked that they help the customer, then as I left the store I was then challenged by a female member of staff who asked me what I said , she was abrupt and unprofessional, this isn’t the first time and I think they need training on customer relations.

Right now i am absolutely mortified…

Right now i am absolutely mortified with one stop hollingworth sk14.I have been shopping in there since 2008 never had a problem untill recently,I was looking for some herbs and spices and pasta to make something for dinner,,,i had seen out the corner of my eye one of the staff look down the Isle like she was watching what I was doing like I was trying to steal something, I ignored it but thought it was strange so I payed for my shopping went home told my patner what had happened since than when I go in the looks I get like there keeping a watchful eye on me again. I paid for my shopping yesterday and I ended up having a huge Anxiety attack as I got through my front door because of it. I have been shopping here for 16 years never stole a single thing, I have a job my patner has a job and i can assure you i have the money to pay for my shopping.May I make a suggestion that if one stop staff want to do there job correctly and go after the correct people who is stealing on a daily basis in your shop would be a start, instead of going after an innocent person, you have completely put me off shopping in your shop and will now be using the shop up the road where I won't be greated with staff who act like that I suggest you get the proper security cameras and takle who is actually stealing, the staff know who it is and I will not allow you to make me a scape goat and make me feel like im a shoplifter because you want to let the people who you know take the stuff but you won't say, next time if I ever shop there again ,if I am faced with this again I will make a seen and I will make a formal complaint.

Staff are theives.

Dropped off a parcel to be sent by Evri. They pretended to scan it into the system but stole it instead. Called their head office to complain and nothing was ever done.

Can't complain to Evri because they claim the parcel never existed.

Disinterested Staff

Blind leading the blind. Staff could be more disinterested. Just tried to send a yodel parcel. Girl couldn't log on. Tried to get some support from her colleagues who couldn't be bothered. Just said the handset usually fails and they only have the one this is after driving around half an hour tying to find somewhere than can send. Yodel useless and One Stop staff Tile ahill even worse.

Regular customer

I have been using the OneStop shop on Albert Road in Colne Lancashire for over 17 years.
I have only had one problem, which was many years ago. I went and it was closed before the actual closing time, with no apology/explanation sign.

In November last year I felt unwell and the staff were very caring and helpful. Later, I was admitted into hospital where I stayed for just over six weeks. I was eventually diagnosed with a very rare disorder. This has left me with concentration and memory difficulties, along with severe mobility difficulties, and problems with dexterity. I went recently and I dropped my debit card. A lovely young man, who was working that day offered to come around the counter to pick it up for me, but I managed to pick it up myself. He packed my shopping for me and the left the kiosk to open the door for me. This is what most of the staff there do for me, and I just want to say how appreciated it is. I really can't understand why this shop and the staff have got such a low rating and such negative comments.

I was at the ONE STOP shop in Silverdale Newcatle under lyme

I was at the ONE STOP shop in Silverdale, the supposed * shop owner* got the price tags wrong and told me to leave the store because of his apparent competence and embarrassment of getting the item pricing incorrectly.
He shielded his face while intimidated me, threatening to throw me out because he *owned the shop*

Terrible customer service experience, somewhat racial discrimination played in the scenario because I looked Asian. the white owner didn't want to serve a customer of colours.

I have been banned twice from the Alofts branch of One stop for being honest and saying I don't like a member of staff because she makes me feel unsafe she has literally cornered me in the shop for asking a simple question and has literally tried to poison a colleague by putting hand sanitizer in her drink
