Traders Are Told to Follow One Calendar, But Violations Use Another
I want to share my recent experience with OneUp Trader so other traders are aware of an issue I encountered during a violation review.
My account was terminated for allegedly trading through Flash Services PMI. The problem is that the economic calendar OneUp provides to traders — the one linked directly in their rules and the one we are instructed to rely on — did not list Flash Services PMI at the time they cited. It listed PMI Composite Flash, which is not a restricted event.
During the appeal, OneUp referenced a different economic calendar that traders are never shown, never instructed to use, and that does not match the official OneUp calendar. Their decision was based on this alternate calendar rather than the one they require traders to follow.
This creates a serious inconsistency:
Traders are expected to follow one calendar
But violations can be enforced using a different one
I was flat during the only event listed on OneUp’s official calendar at that time, and my Rithmic logs confirm this. The violation was upheld anyway.
I’m sharing this so other traders understand how news violations may be enforced and so they can make informed decisions about which firm to use.

I was locked out of my paid evaluation…
I was locked out of my paid evaluation account on a day that I needed to trade. I emailed support and was told that I couldn't get help to regain access until after 9am. I missed a crucial day in the market. This affected my account and performance tremendously and I was not compensated for the market time nor for the day I missed which I had already paid for.

So far, OneUp Trader has been excellent. The rules are clear and fixed, the smaller accounts are fairly priced, and the support staff is highly responsive. I have not requested a payout yet, but I will gladly update this review to reflect that experience once I reach that milestone.
