My review of OpenArt Support

I encountered two issues within a short period of time and had to submit two support requests. The response was fast, and the first issue was resolved immediately. The second one is still in progress, but the communication so far has been very clear, friendly, and professional.
Overall, my experience with OpenArt support has been very positive, and I feel well taken care of as a customer.

I've now given this app a 1* was 2*

I've given this app a 2* but only because the image to text functionality is good. However, If you are looking for videos with good lip sync and the app's ability to follow well written prompts, then steer well clear. Really, really disappointed with the app. I'd heard good things. Changed to 1* as there is zero ability to get hold of anyone in customer service, it's all AI....oh the irony!

I just purchased this yesterday

I just purchased this yesterday. I picked the 20 something dollar subscription. It then charged me for a 56 dollar subscription. I decided I only wanted to use it for character making. But now is the next day and it won’t generate any characters. It says in red letters “Error. Balance credit due,” or something, yet it says I have like 11,000 credits. This thing is turning to garbage real quick.

They delete your credit balance ever…

They delete your credit balance ever month at renewal so if you're not paying attention, they are gone. It takes too many credits to achieve anything usable and their Edit Tools don't work well. By the time I've spent a ton of credits and time to alter an ai mistake, it would have been cheaper to redo the whole image from scratch. Custom Service is only by email after an exhaustive search through the useless FAQ page and then it takes days for a response that does not answer your question or help with the situation. Ten days later I'm still emailing for a resolution. I'm done, switching to Galaxy.ai

Charged for unused subscription, refund denied, total ignore from customer service

I subscribed to try the service but never got to it and never used a single credit. I git hit with another charge a month later without any notice. As a California resident, I emailed support on requesting cancellation and refund for the most recent month's unauthorized charge, clearly stating no usage during the billing period. This violates CA Business & Professions Code §17600 et seq., which protects against such practices. I got a reply from the company saying the request was denied. Companies must honor easy cancels and refunds for non-use. I emailed again noticing that there is a clear law regarding such practices but never heard back. Now when I did a bit of research I see that it is common practice with OpenArt and there are many such and other complaints including BBB. Avoid them!

An efficient Ai Platform for Video Generation

Even in Ai, to underatand the satisfaction or frustration of a customer who usually is paying and using Ai is a human behind that computer. Many platforms in Ai especially in generating videos are full of flaws, gltches and none results even to the closest what podcast gurus preach, even graphics and video editing experts who got the ability to merge, marry and adapt graphics at will, too have been ending up in disgust where hours and days works transfered to trash cans. What if there is an Ai Platform who's committed to improve and listen to their user experiences. OpenArt Ai is a platform I can highly recommend, one that is pushing boundaries in improving quality outputs. Such customer satisfaction is not possible without a human touch. Kudos to Open Art Ai.

Service not as advertised. Refund handling was misleading and unprofessional.

Service not as advertised. Refund handling was misleading and unprofessional.

I purchased a paid subscription based on the features advertised on OpenArt. Shortly after using the service, it became clear that the actual functionality did not match what was advertised.

I contacted OpenArt support immediately.
The issue was acknowledged by their support team, and a refund was initially discussed, which gave the impression that the matter would be resolved fairly. However, after providing all requested details and documentation, the refund was later denied without a clear or consistent explanation.

This back-and-forth was frustrating and misleading. If a service is not delivered as described, customers should not be put through unclear policies or changing responses after support has already acknowledged the issue.

At this point, I have submitted full documentation and the case is now under bank dispute review.

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled.
Transparency, consistency, and accountability matter — especially for a paid subscription service.

I hope OpenArt improves its refund policy clarity and customer support practices so other users do not experience the same issue.

I feel cheated

It feels like they deliberately give poor results so that you will run out of credits. I tried the same thing as before, and what I got on OpenAI was just bad results, and then the chat wants me to upgrade to a more expensive subscription. On the site, it says so many videos and images, but I haven't found a single model that comes anywhere close. It feels like they create more expensive and worse results in the hope that you will get better results only if you buy more expensive services.

Absolutely pathetic

Absolutely pathetic. Using AI is a risk. I tried generating images and videos with very detailed prompts and the results were very very poor. Struggled. To cancel my subscription and now my account was debited again. It shows credits but if you cancel you loose the credits. So I loose.

I joined then upgraded

I joined then upgraded. Last week i downgraded as i still had credits left. Open art still tried to take 56 dollars from me even though i had downgraded to the 14 dollars package. After i asked them to stop they took all my remaining credits i had purchased and gave me 7 days to renew my subscription or they will delete the pictures i had already created. Scummy

Do NOT use OpenArt if you do not want to use it indefinitely

I used OpenArt.ai to create a story and then canceled monthly Essential subscription after completing my project. To complete my 4 min video, I had to pay $56 more for additional credits on a top of $14 subscription. I decided that I do not want to use their service anymore. After I canceled my subscription the current plan in my workspace showed Free and I had only 4 credits left. Imagine my surprise when month later, I discovered two extra charges on my credit card for $14 each. After sending an email to their customer service, I got response that they canceled my auto-renewal. I responded that I canceled my auto-renewal myself long time ago, but they charged me for 2 more months and did not add any credits to my account (Essential plan is supposed to provide 4000 credits a month). I requested refund, but after that I did not hear from them anymore. I disputed the charge from OpenArt with my CC company, and they credited the disputed amount.

OpenArt is honestly a really fun and easy-to-use AI art platform. The interface is clean, so you don’t feel overwhelmed, and you can start creating cool images right away—even if you’re new to AI art.

The image quality is great, with lots of different styles to play around with. I love how you can tweak prompts and experiment until you get something that really matches what you’re imagining. It’s also awesome to browse other people’s creations and get ideas or remix prompts.

Overall, OpenArt is a solid choice if you’re into AI-generated art or just want to mess around and be creative. Definitely worth checking out!

PRetending to be who they aren't

IIt's annoying to search for SORA on Google and click on that lin k that really sounded like sora but wasn't, then susbscribed by mistake and it is globbaly more expensive than getting any of the tool with less features, example , you can't create videos with personalities on soea like you can see on reddit
The good thing is to be able to use the (expensive ) credits on multiple AI tools and compare them.
