Uncomfortable Learning Environment & Unfulfilled Expectations

Took part in one of this organization’s training programs and, whilst had hoped for a constructive and career-advancing experience, left feeling disappointed and unsupported.

The course delivery and structure seemed disorganized, and there was very limited communication throughout. Important updates—such as scheduling, feedback, or next steps—were often unclear or delayed. Additionally, despite what was suggested beforehand, there was no job placement support or meaningful career pathway provided after completion. This lack of follow-through left many participants uncertain about the value of their efforts.

The learning environment itself was not always respectful or inclusive. I observed and at times experienced behaviour that felt aggressive or dismissive, both from fellow learners and some staff. Concerns about conduct were not adequately acknowledged or addressed, making it difficult to feel safe or supported when issues arose.

In general, the culture felt rigid, bureaucratic, and at times disconnected from the needs of learners. It came across as more focused on maintaining authority and process than actually fostering development or trust.
