Absolute legends, best gaming PC company in the UK
I cannot recommend OPSYS Gaming highly enough. I have had my gaming PC for over three years now and it has been brilliant from day one. Over that time I have also had it upgraded and serviced, and every single experience with the team has been spot on.
They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and they genuinely care about what they do. Nothing has ever felt rushed or half done, and they always take the time to explain things properly and make sure everything is working exactly as it should. Absolute legends, the lot of them.
I know they are going through a difficult time at the moment and I really hope they start trading again soon, because we need companies like this in the UK. Proper service, proper expertise, and a team you can trust.
Highly recommended.
Dreadful Experience
I went to Opsys because I assumed that in the early part of last year they’d be able to get their hands on the 5090 I wanted quicker than me as a consumer. Bad mistake, they couldn’t source the card even when months later it was available to me via normal retail channels. They quite unreasonably refused a refund so we went through a PayPal dispute for the rig and I initiated a chargeback for an upgrade. After loads of unnecessary communication and further delay they delivered the PC after four months. For comparison I just bought a new more complicated build from PCSpecialist and they took two weeks without the hassle.
Opsys and Liam just sucked the joy out of purchasing this rig and I’d never use them again if they came back in another guise. Looking at their 2023 accounts on companies house it was obvious they were in debt but I thought I’d be in and out of my dealings with them quickly, which proved not to be the case. So I’m now without a warranty which was one of the reasons for choosing them in the first place but that is not as bad a situation as the people who never even got a PC delivered and are now out of pocket. A salutary lesson for me personally about trusting tiny little companies with thousands of pounds by way of an order.
Poor communication and non delivery
Poor communication and non delivery. Waited several months and after 'breaches of communication' all became truth and the company forfeited to build/delivery any form of product. This was after monthly calls to be told the PC was being built. Poor overall and if the company starts trading again, would highly discourage
Not the best experience
I paid nearly 2 grand for my PC, and started malfunctioning not even 2 years later. I had so many issues, and now I have a dodgy motherboard. I took it to the local PC repair and he said I need a new case and motherboard. Opsys lifetime warranty is out of the question as they're no longer about.
They didn't send me the correct RAM I originally bought, and the PC was delayed by quite some time.
Not very happy now I have to spend £100s extra to get it fixed elsewhere because of a dodgy set up they sent me. No wonder they went bust.
Opsys has disappeared with my money
Liam Moore and OPSYS have taken my money and disappeared without a trace. How can you sleep at night knowing you owe so many customers money. I can't get my money back through my bank, are you telling me that £5000 which i saved over 3 years of working is now down the drain and you will do absolutely nothing about it especially when you offered me a %1 discount to pay you with a bank transfer? When will you tell your customers what is going on and when will you give our money back?
Still Unable to get refund
After chasing multiple times and filing a Chargeback request, I have still no received my refund even after being told it was issued. My bank hasn't received anything and I've had no response from opsys after emailing multiple times.

scam
scam. never delivered
Update (answer for OPSYS): Your community manager initially denied any possibility of a refund when I first requested it. The refund was actually processed by my bank well before you announced the cyber-attack and instructed customers to seek refunds through their banks, so please do not take credit for it.

Honest Review of Opsys
I thought I would share my experience of dealing with Opsys in light of the recent problems they seem to be having. I ordered a high end 5090 build back in January, and I have to admit the initial experience was very frustrating, but on reflection this was partly due to the worldwide shortages that occurred during the initial launch, so the fault does not solely lie with Opsys. During this period, I did feel there was some room for improvement as I felt I was consistently having to chase for updates, rather than the other way around, however Michael was fantastic to deal with during this process and Liam was also helpful when called upon. Although I did have to wait longer than I would have liked and dates kept slipping, when the build did turn up the build quality and the attention to detail was fantastic. However, one of the main reasons I chose Opsys was for the warranty, so after spending so much money and waiting for so long it is very disappointing to hear that it may be void due to them having to cease trading. I really do hope they can get things sorted, as it is great to have competition in this space and their PCs and range of components are some of the best out there.

Cood Company Hurt By Recent Events, But Hope They Bounce Back.
Around last year or so i bought a 4090 build from opsys and it was great, no issues at all. After some time decided i had to upgrade and bought some parts for this year, though due to the cyber attacks it never ended up getting done and i had no pc for some time. However as of today thanks to liam, i did get my old pc back without the upgrades but either way im just happy i got something back, michael was great to talk to aswell. The PC arrived back already assembled with no issues.
Unfortunately due to the recent events i can see why their reputation dropped significantly, but it does make me happy that Liam is at least trying to help those who's systems may be missing from being sent in for upgrades.

I have had a few issues with my order I won’t go into the depths to explain it . But Michael was great with me he was patient with me and trying to help me out as best as he could to help with my issues which were caused by dpd which was not on opsys. Sadly because of the cyber attack affected the company the claim for my graphics card didn’t go through in time however if they hear something regarding it they will let me know. I received my system but the case was slightly damaged not by opsys but dpd. However they are sending the pc back to me and giving me a new case as well. I am sorry opsys this ended the way it did hopefully see you guys back up and running in the future. All the best

A little perspective after a few years
On hearing the devastating news this company was not only hit by a cyber attack, but the impact was so much they were having to close up shop and all staff were furloughed was a real gut punch. I can fully understand people being angry, upset, scared or worried but kicking another victim of this does nothing to help.
For perspective I wanted to tell of my experience with OPSYS over the years as I have been using one of their monster machines for around 4 years now, and my partner has been on one for over 3. The advertising really was on point, the machines are OP! We got 2 very reliable computers who have seen us through all these years with no need to upgrade yet as they were built ahead of their time so have been able to play modern releases with no issue. We both do some casual streaming and there have been no issues there and they even run VR titles super well too.
In all these years there has only ever been 2 faults with the PCs which is a miracle for how much we use them at top settings. One for each machine which is pretty impressive considering how long we have had them, we contacted the team at Opsys to get help and support fixing it both times. Great experience and support, they were thorough, gave really clear instructions and advice, one of the issues was resolved at home with their support and the other we had recently had collected by them for extra help on diagnosing the issue. So yes we were devastated and worried when we saw the email of them having to close their doors as one of our PC's was still there, but they have kept us up to date and are getting it sent back ASAP.
I know not everyone has been able to get the same experience as us due to the cyber attacks, but please trust me when I say from my years of being supported by this company and using their products to me it is clear they are passionate about providing incredible gaming PCs and supporting the users of them. I truly hope they can recover from this event and come back fighting as I would very happily continue to be their customer from everything I have experienced so far.
For anyone still waiting on their orders please please please ensure you have read the emails they have sent out and follow the advice. I know its not easy, I know its frustrating, but lets not victim blame here or kick the company while they are down. From what I have seen and experienced they are fab people who were doing a fab job, so lets cheer them on and hope they rise again and can continue supporting and supplying gamers!

Waited for nearly 12 months and still haven't received anything
TLDR: It's coming up to a whole year since I placed my order and I've yet to even receive a rough estimate of when the ETA will be. They can't/will not refund me and so I am having to go through my bank to see if I can get a chargeback.
I don't normally write reviews, but I feel like in this instance I should just to warn people of my (frankly terrible) experience. I placed my order last year for a system with a 4090 GPU. Expectedly, the first reason for delay was that Nvidia stopped production of these 40-series GPUs, and then there were supply issues for the new 50-series GPUs. This reason was acceptable for a couple of months, but not for a full year now. In July/August, OPSYS had a "cyber attack", and an email was sent out from an OPSYS email account telling people that they should cancel their order since the company makes customers wait extremely long without receiving their orders (even though this was a cyber attack, the contents/warnings in that email seem to have held true). Ever since then, the mixture of the Nvidia supply issue + recovering from the cyber attack have been used as the reason why I haven't received my order. Let alone receiving my order, they can't even put a date to when I could even begin to expect my order. To sort of sum up this section of the review: OPSYS are very good at delaying the order with some excuse or another. In August, they mentioned the allocation should come through in 3/4 weeks. Yet here we are in mid-October with nothing. At the very least, they stopped trying to attach a number that they knew they couldn't follow through on.
This next part is about refunds: So in mid-August I was tired of waiting and mentioned I wanted to cancel my order. They responded that since all other components for my build had been allocated, I could no longer cancel and get my refund. This is the part the really irks me: they could easily obtain the other parts of my build to reach the point of no cancellation, and now can just delay me endlessly without delivering my build. Theoretically speaking, there is no reason why they should ever provide me anything since I can't cancel my order anyway. As such, I've had to follow some of the advice from other reviews here and initiate a chargeback through my bank. Hopefully I'll be able to recover my money.
In terms of communication: At the start, they would only respond whenever I sent them an email, which means months could go by without any word. In the last couple of months, they have attempted to maintain a weekly update. But this just boils down to a "we understand your frustrations" email with an excuse (one of the two above) attached on to it. I do feel sorry for the person writing the emails, as I'm sure they've been on the receiving end of a lot of frustrated emails despite it not being their fault.
If you've made it to the end of this review, then I just want to re-iterate a warning: please carefully consider whether you can afford to wait months for your order (forget what delivery times they say on the website, it almost certainly won't be ready in that timeframe). Even if you can, please be aware that once you pay, you will almost certainly not be able to get a refund/cancellation very easily. I've long since passed the point where I could use this order for what I originally intended to, and am now trying to get my money back so I can spend it on something else.
I ordered a system at the start of…
I ordered a system at the start of january, and all i can say is its not here. Quite frustrating when ive been in contact every month with no meaningful progress to be seen. I am no longer looking forward to it in all honesty because it doesnt feel like a new pc anymore, its looking like im gonna be waiting a full year or more for it with no other option after putting a significant amount of money into this.
When i bought my system the reviews were no where near this bad and now i just wonder where it went so wrong. One glimmer of hope is michael in support but he can only do so much but i appriciate his politness and speedy replies.
Look despite this review i have no doubt the pc will be great and the lifetime help they advertise sounds pretty good, i just hope they can bouce back from this.
PS. My laptop has now died on me so this pc couldnt come sooner.

5 months waiting - Tried to block refund
Waited 5 months for my PC to be built and shipped.
After months of back and forths with no substantial updates or progress I pushed to cancel my order and apply for a full refund. This was a legal obligation for the company after 30 days of non-delivery from the originally specified date and no attempt at establishing a new date. They did not have the items available (despite having them on their site builder) and instead of discussing this they kept pushing to keep the order.
Once I did ask for a refund, the company denied me and tried to impose fees (which they legally cannot do) for cancellation. After asking for proof pictures of my parts, none were ever supplied so they could not even prove they had them.
Only after processing a transaction dispute with my credit card company did they start complying - begging me to keep my order and agreeing to process the full refund 'in good faith'. There was no good faith, they knew that they were directing customers to hold onto long orders months longer than necessary (as the parts in question [RTX 50 Series] were fully available at that point at consumer rates).
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM OPSYS. If by circumstance you must, make sure to do so only with a credit card to protect your purchase as I have seen many older reviews (some of which that have since seemingly been removed) detailing that OPSYS require regular, non credit, payments to pay a 25% cancellation fee for doing nothing but sitting at their desks, instead of actually building PCs people order. Just go buy from another more reputable builder, or build your own PC (what I did).

Let me know if there is anything worse than this.
Oh, wow, the review invitation is finally here. Big surprise. But let me ask you one simple question: where the hell is my PC?
It’s been six months and two weeks, and still, nothing. Not even a basic ETA for my order. Did I pre-order a damn PC or sign up for a waiting list? The 5000 series dropped over a year ago, and somehow, you can’t even get your hands on one? Meanwhile, there are countless others stuck in the same situation.
Honestly, at this point, I couldn’t care less about this “brand new PC” I supposedly ordered. The excitement’s long gone.

Avoid at all costs.
For the sake of transparency. I had written a review before, but they approached me with an upgrade in return for taking down the review. Quite gullibly, I agreed to this, not because of the upgrade, but I thought it would hinder progress on my delivery. Turns out it made absolutely no difference whatsoever, and I'm still waiting.
Thankfully, I haven't been waiting as long as some other customers and have already been in touch with my bank. Been online shopping for 10 years+ and not once have I had to initiate a chargeback until this company.
Taking customers' money, some of whom have paid thousands and keeping them waiting for months on end is just unacceptable; there's absolutely zero excuse for it. No other company in the PC building space will have you waiting 3 months+ for a 5090 series system in 2025. I also chose to pay a £200 premium for an "end of June" completion quote. Guess what? It's now September and there is still no sight of completion.
I've given up all hope of receiving anything from this company and I can sympathise with the other customers whom are also on the same boat. I HIGHLY advise people to stay clear of this company and look for other alternatives

Ordered over 5 months ago, nothing yet.
Ordered over 5 months ago. Not sure if I'll even receive it this year based on the responses I've had.
I saw other reviews warning of a long wait but assumed I wouldn't have to wait half a year.
With the 50XX super series being released soon it will also reduce the value of the card I paid for and I haven't even used it.
