Pretty grim actually. Got my prescription from Specsavers but didn't like the price of their frames...so hawked my prescription to George Asda opticians. Its been sorrowful. The Burnley staff don't se... See more

Poor service from Asda High Wycombe
Poor service from Asda High Wycombe. Cancelled appointment 3 times because they don't have enough trained staff. Asda need to invest in their staff. Spent £240 on one pair of glasses and I expected better service. A family of 4 now will take their custom elsewhere.

optician wasn't happy I didn't want the glaucoma test. Called me rude because I didn't want to hear the same glaucoma explanation I've heard 10 times already. Customer service a foreign language to him, unsurprisingly.
Boots are able to respect my wish,
Excellent service - excellent glasses.
I had my eyes tested at vision express. But after the last pair from them I decided to try Asda for the glasses. The staff were very knowledgable and helpful ( one was ex Vsion express) They are probably the best I've had and I opted for the expensive lenses and it still came out a lot cheaper. All in all I was very happy with the experience and the product quallity

Review for Bradford Asda opticians..
Review for Bradford Asda opticians... VERY POOR service thruout. I complained that last time i got glasses i paid for a reactolite sunglasses with prescription which i had saved up for. Within 2 weeks the screws fell out so the arms fell off. So i went to another opticians and they said they should not have sold me them as they were much too small for my head. Told the about it and they said dont worry we will look after you this time and they did nothing at all.
Disappointed client
I have used Asda for my glasses the passed two times, and although the customer service, glasses and prices are very good, the lenses are terrible, always smeared even though they are cleaned daily, after cleaning the smears still appear, they need to look into this, as my husbands are exactly the same

I made an appointment at Asda Opticians Parkhead Forge Glasgow appointment 12 20 my complaint is this ai 12 35/hrs I was still awaiting appointment with no member of staff giving explanation of delay Spoke to staff member about delay not given a reason but expected to sit back down and wait bad customer service cancelled appointment and left

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. I spent over £200 on an eye test and glasses, yet the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. I’ve been without my glasses for 4 weeks now. To make matters worse, they refused to give me my PD (Pupillary Distance) measurement, even though it’s for the glasses I already paid for! Avoid this place if you value your time and money.
1 STAR IS TO MUCH!!
1 STAR IS TO MUCH!!! Be careful here! I saw the optician regarding floaters in my eye. I was told it was normal/nothing to worry about. But my symptoms worsened over the next few days so I returned to the store on 2 separate occasions. Each time I informed the reception staff that the floaters were increasing. Despite these red flag symptoms, they insisted I did not need to see the optician again and turned me away. So I had to get a second opinion elsewhere. They identified a tear on my retina and rang the hospital for an emergency referral. By the time I reached the hospital, the delay in finding the tear had allowed scar tissue to form on my retina making it impossible to fix and I’m now blind in that eye! Thanks Asda!!!
Ignorant !!!
Clayton Green Chorley
Prior to my 09.10am appointment, I had 4 reminders.
I duly turned up at 9.03am . Another lady turned up at 9.05.
I was quickly seen to with the preliminaries and then told to sit back down to wait for the optician to call me -this would have been 9.08am
In front of me was a gent , let’s call him “John” who was opening a box and taking out one by one , glasses cases. Inspecting each, He then proceeded to check off each glasses case on a piece of paper . Then he began to write on each glasses case. Then he fired up a computer and began to check off each glasses case against the computer page.
By this time the lady who appeared after me had been seen to and left.
I asked the lady on the desk how long I was going to be and she said “not long” gesturing slightly with her head towards “John” who was still merrily checking his glasses cases.
Obviously “John” who I had been sat in front of for a good 15 minutes was the person conducting my eye test
At 9.30am , I got up and left .
I have never been so disrespected. As a customer I expect to be seen on time, I do not expect to be clearly ignored by someone who thinks a box of glasses cases is clearly more important than a human being who has a clear and unequivocal appointment. To do this meaningless task right in front of me is even more ignorant and downright rude. He obviously knew I was waiting as I was sat in front of him, knew I’d asked how long I would be but chose to deliberately ignore me.
Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

I attended Asda in Queensferry for my annual eye test. What a great experience staff were pleasant helpful and eye test very informative. Price of new glasses very focal lenses and extensive frame choice amazing. I had Glasses last year from Asda, but not my eye test. I can say I will be attending regularly in the future. The lady who helped me with the frames was absolutely lovely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to buy my glasses
Asda Opticians Chapeltown Sheffield
Asda Opticians Chapeltown Sheffield, this was my first visit to Asda Opticians and I can honestly say I will not be going back, glasses ok but still waiting after two and a half weeks for my contact lenses to be delivered, their response is to wait another week then if they still haven't turned up they will refund the cost, staff are uninterested and unhelpful both in store and at Asda House
Contact lense service disappoints!
Sadly disappointed with them of late, have used them for years, I moved to Specsavers due to being unable to get an eye test for over three months due to the ‘only’ optician being off ill and they wouldn’t replace her. That itself was an awful experience and truly expensive upselling and not worth it! Only interested in selling products not caring about you as a customer, so I went back to Asda in Taunton when I could. But… when I did the care was great my optician is lovely, that is not the issue, the head office need to look after their staff more and give them more help and cover to start with however… the contact lenses wait times are truly horrendous… as I’m now an oldie, I’m in ‘that’ bracket I need varifocal lenses so I bought them, I did not expect to wait a month when ordering IN store for them to come each month to arrive, the staff cannot fathom why I’m annoyed I’m paying £50 a month for these and cannot understand where they are being sent from? China would send them quicker no actual jokes! This is awful service and truly making me consider for the money I’m paying to look for an independent Opticiansl now. Why am I paying this kind of money to have to wait a month for delivery this honestly is not acceptable and would not recommend them for their contact lenses service anymore.
Asda optician Bournemouth
Have been using Asda at St Paul's roundabout in Bournemouth for a few years now and have been thoroughly pleased every time. Whether the arms need straightening or replacing after I've sat on my glasses, or the nose bit falls off. They are always friendly and helpful and it's always free. I rarely leave reviews but I am very pleased with them.
Outstanding
I wish to express the outstanding service and professionalism of Jake Mason from Asda Barnsley. I have never been treated and looked after so well in an optician appointment. The time and care he takes on explaining everything and how thorough he is wonderful.
I first met Jake a couple of weeks ago for my initial appointment and straight away he was so professional and kind, he listened to me and talked me through everything so clearly and there was no pressure or judgement ( if you know what I mean ) on any questions I had. I’ve had my second appointment today and again he was outstanding. I’m looking forward to my follow up appointment with him in three weeks.
Saved me from going blind from glaucoma.
I went for my first ever eye test at Asda Hessle road Hull. And the the receptionist mentioned they where doing extra tests at a low price. I took her up on the offer and I'm so glad I did. The option thought there was a possibility I was developing glaucoma, and sent a referral to the hospital. 3 months later I am receiving treatment to save my eye sight. Just wanted to say thank you to the whole team at the opticians and would recommend anyone to have the extra test they offer. It's only around £12. I'm only 46 so it's not only the older generation it affects.
Avoid car park , staff are rude
I had an extremely disappointing experience with customer service at the Asda in Basildon at Eastgate centre. The staff have no knowledge about their own customer car park and are always doing two things at once. None of the ticket machines were working and there weren’t any staff in the car park to help. I spent so long asking the Asda colleagues for help that my time then ticked over to five hours so I had to pay more. When I asked the staff if they could help they said they couldn’t when it clearly says on the sign in the car park ‘ if you need help ask a member of staff in the shop.’
Would not recommend.
Asda opticians Crewe
