Was contacted by optima regarding work, once I arranged the details and booked in the work I was called a day and a half later to be told I’m no longer needed which unfortunate as it is these things happen. 2 weeks down the line I still haven’t been paid and the initial source of contact has blocked my number. It’s crazy how these people can operate such a shambolic company and not be dealt with. Avoid these silly daft cowboy at all costs and browsing through the reviews to see a silly reply is raging these people need dealing with ASAP

I recieved a few text about certain jobs available around my area. I replyed by phoning Optima spoke to a lady called Alina. After speaking to her about the job, money, she text me the address of the job - postcode only not the name of the job. She said she would text me the management site contact number in a few hours. At the end of the day no contact was made even though she said I was to start the following morning. This is bad workman ship. Definitely not professional in not replying back regardless if there was contact with the site management or not. I definitely would not be replying to any text in future and Will Block the number from calling me. Optima - You need your staff to do better training if you want trades people!

They phoned me for a job then blanked me until I phoned main office. They then called me back to inform me job had been filled. In the hour I was trying to get hold of them by email, WhatsApp and 3 office numbers I lost other work. Oh and completely wasted my time.

MEGAN is unreliable, unprofessional and has a very bad attitude regarding the work and the way she treats people I will never work with this agency ever again and so many of my work collages think the same she says one thing but then other and she thinks she's something she really is not AVOID

Working with this agency has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had. Instead of offering real job opportunities, they constantly spam with pointless SMS messages every five minutes, none of which ever lead to anything concrete. Their communication is chaotic, unhelpful, and completely inconsiderate of people’s time.

It feels like they are more interested in flooding candidates with useless notifications rather than actually helping them find employment. The staff shows no sense of responsibility or professionalism, and their promises never turn into real results.

The team itself is rude, disorganized, and completely uninterested in actually assisting candidates. Whenever you try to get real information or clarity, you are met with vague answers, unprofessional attitudes, or simply ignored. They lack basic customer service skills, and it feels as if no one in the agency is properly trained or even cares about the people they are supposed to be helping.

This agency is not only a waste of time, but also a source of constant frustration. Any serious job seeker should stay away — unless you enjoy endless spam, false promises, and dealing with an incompetent team that adds stress instead of solutions.

Megan has always been helpful, polite, and honest. Thanks to her support, I’ve been able to stay in work for many years.

Optima have kept me in work for along time now i have not had issues with payment. good agency to work for.

Worst agency I work for.First agree for a rate before sending you to the job.Then in a morning during the induction they send you different rate with a promise fix it later.Then sending you to another job for a weekend and telling you will be working time from 7-15 Saturday and Sunday and will be paid 10 hours.Of course the are slavery company looks like they first of all not paying you 10 hours but also they reduce 20 pounds per day.Trying complaining to someone from the agency and everyone cover another one.For a week seven day working week they still own me over £350 pounds.Just the best decision is to put them
In small court claim for the outstanding.Never guys work for them .They will cut a money from the first day you starting to them.I will spread a word to all dryliners groups everywhere about them as well.

My husband works as a scaffolder through this agency, and we’ve been really happy with their service. His consultants, Sophie and Megan, have been fantastic — always friendly, approachable, and quick to help with any questions. The pay is very good compared to other companies, and they work with major construction firms on some of the most important projects in London. It’s reassuring to know that he’s involved in high-profile, well-organised jobs with solid safety standards. Paul McAllister, on a Sunday afternoon, told me that I wasnt required for work the ensuing week resulting in me not being able to look for other work starting Monday. Im at home without pay due to his incompetence by agreeing with his client Diverse to give me no notice for no continued work.I would of been a gentleman and given Optima at least a day's notice!! Shame on you

Absolutely diabolical agency, hungry for information to sell on, they requested my cscs card and id, I sent over both sides of my cscs card and a copy of my drivers license, the license wasn’t “acceptable as id and they requested a passport, id or birth certificate, having to pass over so many sensitive documents in a time where fraud is at a all time heigh is crazy, these companies build a profile of people and sell our information!! This needs to stop NOW

Turnt up to a job which was told 7-5, only to be told it is 12 hour shifts. When I told her I would be unable to work the hours, and leaving the site after 6 (due to having to scrape a floor with a crowbar..), I sent her proof of leaving and with reasons.

Suprise suprise, they do not set me up for payroll, ignore messages, lie about payroll ringing to set me up, “cannot sort timesheet” and make every excuse to not pay me. I chase them up, and she tells me they are only paying 3 hours as site cannot confirm..

They will lie to get you on site and then try to pay you nothing or much less..

The company is not serious about jobs. He offered me a job on Friday starting on Monday. After 3 hours he told me that it was canceled for Tuesday. On Monday, when I asked if it was valid from tomorrow, told me that the job was cancelled. I waited without looking elsewhere.
The problem is not that the job was canceled. The disturbing fact is that the Optima employee did not notify me of anything without asking him and all this time I believed that the job was valid and I did not look for another one. I also emailed you the conversation I had with him.

I did painting and decorating work for this company from 5/11/2024-14/11/2024. My contact for this job was David Ormrod. After initial contact on the 4/11/2024 i was unable to contact David because he refused to answer calls texts etc. After completing the work i wasn't paid with David claiming it isn't his problem. After a month of trying to resolve a problem that David caused i was fed up, so put in a formal complaint with James Cranston there operations manager. After getting confermation from James that he had recieved the complaint on 18/12/2024 he said by company policy he would investigate and respond within 14 days but by now it was christmas so he stated he would respond by 10/1/2025, 26 days after the complaint was reviewed. To date i have recieved no responce and am stilled owed £1292.00 by Optima. The incompetance of David and James is staggering and the fact that the operations manager can't even comply to there own complaints policy speaks volumes. Don't worry Optima i will be putting a complaint in to Recruitment and employment confederation. Trading standards and also considering legal action.

Hi my name is Grant aldred work for these placement by ryan grithins I left the site on the 5th at the 11:30 am after noticing dangerous work being completed on site with no health an safety procedure in place after leaving site I contacted Ryan to see why I have not been payed I explain the site need reporting he reply Ed by trying to blackmail me stating in the next message that if I go ahead an report the site I would not be payed it is Friday today and again I have not been payed I have tryed to contact office on numerous occasions left numerous voicemails and had no reply I have photos off my work timed an dated and without reply 5 weeks later still not been payed and now they are fully refusing to pay me so I am now taking legal action do not work for this company

Following on from making a complaint, there wasn't one raised it seems to me that once you put a review on here they lie to you about sorting the problem out when they have no intention doing so , unprofessional, obnoxious, and stuck up, I have forgotten more than they know. Nice one keely
